We had a great stay here with our family. The location was in a quieter part on the college campus but still close enough to all the sights that we could still walk.
The apartment was exactly what was advertised! It had character and was in a perfect location. The furnishings are out of date but clean and comfortable. It is located in a less busy part of town but everything is walkable and that made it quieter and easier to get into restaurants. There is a cute piazza 1 min away with excellent restaurants. Communication with Giorgia was easy and responsive.
Property was OK not quite as nice as the pictures. Took us a little while to get there since there is no transportation and you need to walk owners are very agreeable and helpful. Location was good would like more updates on property.
Giorgia was a wonderful host - amazing communication and flexible with our schedule. The unit is charming and spacious. Our stay was short, but we enjoyed the nights we were there. Thank you!
This was a wonderful apartment. However, there is really only one usable shower. The second is with a toilet and a sink, which is not enough space to move around. There is no glass or curtain... It's all one space. In addition, the air conditioning upstairs (two twin beds) can't be used at the same time as the other two bedrooms and the living room. The location and its charm is older, so at night we turned off the living room and closed the doors to ensure the bedrooms didn't turn off. I would also not put small children upstairs. The stairs are quite dangerous for toddlers. We had teenagers, but I still worried a bit if they had to use the restroom in the middle of the night. You are also too far to walk to St. Marks Square so a water taxi will cost you to travel there and back. The public water taxi wasn't close either. So, make sure you budget and understand the water taxi situation prior to booking.
Beautiful old home in a fantastic location. A very Venetian home. Furniture was a bit dated in the living room, but the home was clean and roomy. Host was very friendly, responsive, and helpful.
I booked this VRBO for myself and 5 other family members. The location was amazing and was within walking distance of everything. Clean VRBO and the host was easy to work with. Had AC units in each of the rooms, so we appreciated that. My only complaint is that there were 2 windows in the bathroom and downstairs we couldn't close and so we got eaten up night with mosquito bites. Outstanding apartment otherwise!
This VRBO was Very clean, interesting and located close to food, shopping, etc.. It was very hard to find, as is typical for Venice as we figured out. Venice is not an easy city to visit. Thank you Georgia for your pic by pic directions to arrive at the apartment. The front facade is beautiful in the pictures, but not accessible OR visable at all, as they have built a college around it. you actually enter from the back streetway/walkway. The stairway to get up to the apartment is difficult,(spiral) ,very unique, but keep in mind you need to drag your luggage up 2 levels. It is well appointed in some ways, and not great in other ways. Very clean. Beds and pillows are not comfortable, and bath towels are crusty. Georgia, the host, was pleasant.
This is a fascinating and well located property in Venice. A real gem. It has incredible historic features, lots of windows with great views and lighting. We were close to all day-to-day needs such as the Vaporetto, train and and bus terminal as well as shops and restaurants. However it is also quiet and surrounded by greenery. Giorgia was always helpful and provided quick and helpful responses to any questions we had. All directions were clear and relevant. Having such a great place to stay really made our time in Venice special. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.
This VRBO just took our breath away. So much charm and character (and I mean that in the best way possible). The location is excellent - 2 mins from loads of restaurants and shops - and super easy walk from the train station and/or bus terminal. Giorgia was wonderful to work with - she kept in excellent communication and check-in could not have been simpler. AND her hand drawn map to get us to the apartment from the train station was spot on! She had warned us to not use Google maps to get there, so sent us a map and it was perfect. The apartment itself was just lovely. Very old world charm - I really felt like we got a taste of Venice just by staying there. The stone spiral staircase - so cool!!! Plenty of room for us (my family of 5, which includes 3 "kids" ages 18, 19, and 21) and the air conditioning was a bonus. Can't say enough about this place!
This location is ideally suited for doing anything in Venice within a 20 minute walk! The location is well appointed and is very comfortable.
We enjoyed the stone spiral staircase as if we were stepping back in time!
We highly recommend this location for a family as it gave us plenty of room for all 5 of us and our son enjoyed the 3rd bedroom in the loft area.
A great value....on your next trip to Venice be sure to book this location!
Good price for a rental in Venice but comes with some caveats. This property is probably ok for most adults but we were women between 65-75 and found the layout difficult at best. Let me also say that the front facing photo is deceiving. You do not enter through a grand door off a garden but rather off an very non-descript entrance off a busy, graffiti filled alleyway. In fact there is no access at all to that entry or garden. There are steep stairs up to the flat which is as described to two of the bedrooms. The final bedroom is a second set of very steep stairs. The location is not great but is adequate. I would suggest you do not take the host's suggestion to walk back to the bus station every time you want a vaparetto. Instead figure out how to walk to the Academia stop (12 minutes away) Yes you need to be careful the first time but after that it is easy. There are plenty of cafes nearby as well as easy access to food stores. I found this to be an adequate though not memorable stay and probably would not rent again through would recommend if price were a significant issue and you are young and agile.
A beautiful historic home in the hear of Venice. A stones throw away from the train station, Giorgiaâs home was clean and comfortable. The listing images are extremely accurate to the property and overall we enjoyed our say. Please be aware that there is a spiral staircase to enter the property (which is gorgeous) but can prove to be a challenge when carrying up luggage. The only issue we had (which Giorgia quickly helped us to resolve) the fuse that connects the ac & power in the upstairs can easily blow but is fixed by a flip of a switch.
Spacious and centrally situated between the Ponte de Rialto and the Ponte Academia and 10minutes from station. The only downside was the kitchen which lacked some basic cooking implements and small saucepans.
