Magnifiquement meublé condo à Alizes (à côté de Elements, en face de Luna Maya) avec des meubles sur mesure, cuisine en granit, bien équipée avec des éléments nord-américains attendent, table à manger en marbre, beaucoup plus de marbre à travers, nouveau lit king size, face à l'océan, sûr, fermé complexe, 3 personnes, Smart TV (apportez vos infos Netflix ou Hulu) Ce condo fait face à la brise de l'océan et se trouve dans le meilleur bâtiment d'Alizes, le plus éloigné de la rue et surplombe le jardin et la piscine. Alizes est unique en ce que les condos ne se font pas face mais donnent sur le jardin et la piscine / palapa. Notre jardin est une caractéristique unique pour Playa, offrant ombre et détente autour de la grande piscine, ce qui signifie que les activités sociales autour de la piscine sont toujours animées. Ne louez pas dans un immeuble où la piscine est sur le toit! Ils sont généralement chauds, sans ombre, non aimés et inutilisés.

Notre condo est unique dans le complexe d’Alizes dans la mesure où il possède une magnifique terrasse sur le toit avec vue panoramique sur la mer, pleine de fleurs, de plantes et d’arbres, à l’usage exclusif des 5 condos de notre immeuble, pour des journées spéciales, tranquilles ou une belle soirée cocktail.

En mars 2017, nous avons ajouté une laveuse et une sécheuse de taille normale au condo. Vous pouvez choisir d’envoyer votre linge ou de le faire vous-même. Les femmes de ménage sont disponibles pour le service de nettoyage si vous réservez simplement avec le gestionnaire immobilier sur place.

Pendant l’hiver, les résidents d’Alizes proposent de nombreuses activités sociales, notamment des massages, du yoga, des cocktails, un bridge et des bar-b-ques. Même un marché le vendredi! Notre complexe de condos est très sympathique et vous vous ferez de nombreux amis pendant votre séjour.

Il y a un anglophone / hispanophone sur place, un responsable et une équipe de maintenance pour vous assurer des vacances sans tracas. Il y a une sous-station de police touristique en face du complexe et nous avons un personnel de sécurité 24h / 24 et 7j / 7.

Very Nice Place to Stay in PDC

We enjoyed our stay, the unit was spacious for two. We appreciated the balconies (2 of them!) to sit out and enjoy coffee or a glass of wine, the apartments functional layout, lush greenery views and comfortable bed. The apartment is not new, but has a kind of zen tranquility and is nice. It was clean and well equipped with all that we needed. We kept the patio doors at each end of the unit open throughout the day, there was almost always good air flow. The pool is great, surrounded by tropical vegetation that seems like an oasis. There was an extra charge for electricity that averaged about 26 pesos per day, which wasn’t that big an expense, though we only used a/c at night. The location is ideal, close to the hustle of 5th Ave and restaurants (Salento is great and right at the door), an easy 10 min walk to a large grocery store. Also close to beautiful coco beach, just north of the Reef Hotel. At night the neighborhood is quiet, which suited us. All in all, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We stayed in the apartment for one week. We are a family of three. The apartment has several pros and cons (which I list in detail below). All considered, I believe for the same price I could have found a place with ALL the PROS and none of the CONS PROS - Far enough from the night life, but not too far pedestrian zone is three minutes walking. -beach is superclose (3 mins walking) and in the apartment there are beach umbrellas and beach chairs. - The bed is a king size bed very comfortable - The manager of the apartment is Griselda. Griselda and her husband deserve more than the allowed 5 stars. Griselda is super fast in answering, never . I never waited more than a couple of minutes for her answers - nice swimming pool in a shaded area CONS - The apartment is old and NOT well maintained. To mention a few: Handle on bathroom door falls off; lock on bedroom door does not work; some of the number buttons on the microwave do not work; washing machine only runs with hot water; igniter on water heater does not work; toilet tank fill valve sometimes sticks in the closed position; keypad on safe is dead, so have to use key. - the cleaning of the apartment could be better there were several items covered in dust - the sofa bed is not comfortable for a third person to sleep. It also feels dirty and would benefit from a washable cover. - the closet in the bedroom is old and falling apart. Similarly the cabinets in the kitchen . - kitchen sink is rust

Great location

This was a great location for what I needed while staying here. Far enough away from the busy 5th Ave but close enough to walk there when I wanted. This condo was only a few blocks away from the dive shop I was using and that was super nice. Timely responses to my questions or concerns. Had a great stay here.

Did not like it .

I had to move the falloing day to a different hotel, problem was on arrival, no toilet paper no soap no drinking water no hat water to take a shower and the air conditioner was very weak units were old and wifi 😢 super weak and then they tell me I have to pay for electricity, my wife explored so I looked for a different place, very bad experience.I want to see if they re inverse my money for the days (6) that I didn't occupied the apartment, sorry 😢 😞 😔

Great location well equipped

We were very happy with this property. It's in a great location near 5th Ave and the beach. It is very well equipped. We were only staying for a week but you could easily live there long term. It has everything you could need. Check in was very easy. Betsy provides a lot of great information about the unit and Playa in general. The pool area is also very shaded and well landscaped. It's way more comfortable than other buildings with rooftop pool areas.

Wonderful apartment

Chris and Betsy were great hosts. The apartment was accurately described and very comfortable. It is in a quiet area just two blocks from the beach. Lots of good restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

Not quite what we expected

The condo was fairly comfortable, but was much older and more run down than it appeared in the photos. It was only surface cleaned, there was dust behind the furniture and the fan was so dusty that we opted not to turn it on. We hired a cleaner to come in to reclean the condo and then felt more comfortable. The air conditioner in the front room was broken and the one in the bedroom was marginal. If the rubber cover wasn’t properly placed over the shower drain the whole house smelled of sewage. Also, Apparently the condo is for sale, because the manager contacted us asking if a realtor could show our condo. We allowed it, but felt a little uncomfortable with the situation. We did enjoy our visit to Playa del Carmen., however the owner mistook us for another renter who had brought a pet. She sent me a very unprofessional email in regard to “my pet”. She realized that I was not the appropriate renter, and sent another email asking me to disregard the first email. It wasn’t the fact that she sent the first email, it was how rude and threateningly it was worded. While I was reasonably comfortable there, I would not rent from that owner again because of the email.

Beautiful apartment

Well apportioned, great support from the property manager who speaks English. Close to the beach and shops. And iI felt very safe during Covid. Many of the locals wear masks. I shopped for groceries then stayed home the entire time and watched Netflix!

It was everything advertised. The Restaurant in the building was Great , the Condo had lots of room , a big bedroom and good sized living and Dining room. It is also close to 5 Ave the main Action Street. The Condo Building also has a very good pool a Drugstore and a Seven Eleven. Enjoy. Roger.

Rented for a month… no internet for 2 days the first week; no hot water neither stove for 1.5 day; fridge door shelves inadequate/broken; toilet seat not the right size flap hits our back; balcony set was a decorative set, metal and all rusted so couldn't use it; one full month of very noisy and dusty environment with the construction of 2 condo buildings just besides ours; no opaque curtains in the bedroom so very difficult to sleep in the morning and at night with the exterior lighting; no tv station to listen, neither DVD or CD player as mentionned by owners in their notes; kitchen table no at a standard height (too high) so quite uncomfortable; toilet doesn't flush well, need to shake tank to fill it up!; safe located in a very difficult and unsafe area to access; however the location of the pool was perfect and access to the corner store very handy.

Perfect place for a month getaway!

The property is almost perfect. Spacious, well supplied and low-key. This was really a great property. I am not sure what else we could ask for, there was just about everything we needed. Since we stayed a full month it was very nice to have it all. Pots, pans, plenty of dishes, linens towels etc. Made full use of the washer and dryer, even had some snorkel gear and beach accessories. It really was great. Rocio the apt manager was very responsive and helpful. Checking in with the security guard was a breeze, and the tourist police within a stones throw made us feel secure. Although we NEVER felt anything remotely threatening anywhere. This is for anyone considering working remotely. The apartment's internet was very spotty but the cell service is great. If you intend on working remotely I highly suggest having an LTE hotspot on your phone or a separate device. Between the two options I was never completely without internet and with little effort was able to work. Rocio was very quick to respond to internet outages, but she is at the mercy of the internet company so having a backup option is a must. I also want to point out there was a huge lightening storm which knocked out internet in most of Playa, so this was not complex specific. With that out of the way, I highly recommend this complex. We had a blast, cooked in A LOT and did not have to purchase anything other than what you would expect. The Italian food place in front is really pretty good and Sam the waiter was super friendly. Hugged us every time we walked by with a big smile on his face. 7-Eleven next door is super convenient, plus there are a lot of cheap taco stands right up CTM past 5th avenue. Have to give a plug to MU Burger as well. If you're looking for a good burger and craft beer, this is an excellent option. If you want an apartment style vacation vs. a resort this is the way to go. Thanks to Chris and Betsy for allowing us to invade your space. And oh BTW, thanks for the dentist recommendation. We had the unfortunate happen, I had to have a root canal on day two of our trip. Dr. Armenta and Dr. Omar were great! Thanks to Rocio for all of your help and recommendations.

This complex is absolutely amazing

We loved our month stay in this complex. So much so we have booked again in a ground floor unit for next year for 6 weeks. The people are very friendly and the pool is lovely. Location is perfect. Close to everything you need. We bought bikes and cycled all over. Beaches are close and snorkelling from shore easy and lots of great fish life. The Italian restaurant in front of the complex is outstanding. David the groundskeeper works very hard and it shows. Rocío makes sure that all guests are well looked after. Sunday cocktails is such s great way to meet people and socialize. Only thing I wished is that the balconies were a little bigger. Just an extra couple of feet would have been nice. Wifi worked well in the living room but not in the bedroom hopefully with the new fibre optic that will solve that issue. Units are well equipped with everything you need. The outdoor grill was very well utilized most evenings. Can’t wait to go back next year. So relaxing and so much fun.

Very nice relaxing vacation

We had a great time at this property. this property is perfect for people who do not mind walking a lot. We walked to grocery store, bus station, etc. Taxis are definitely the most expensive route of transportation. When we got to the airport we paid for the trip to condo by taxi and also to be picked up on our last day that way you save money if you book both rides at that time (cost about 100$ for round trip). we had problems with ants in the kitchen so have to be super careful about crumbs and wipe down counters after every meal. We did one excursion to the tulum ruins which was great and a much nicer beach there then the one across the street from condo. The one by the condo we still went to every day. There are tons of restaurants everywhere. Overall, it was a great vacation and was very relaxing. If you want to do excursions everyday you could do that too but we liked spending most time by pool/ocean. Thanks for letting us enjoy your property!

3 great weeks at Alizes

My wife and I had a great stay at Alizes. Betsy, Chris and Roccio were fantastic. The location was bang on. Next to the beach, close to restaurants and stores yet isolated enough for peaceful evenings. The ambiance at Alizes is exceptional. So many knowledgeable regulars and travellers always ready to share their experience. It was without a doubt the best trip down south with truly great value. Everything we were looking for...

Chris & Betsy, Thank you for renting us your condo. We enjoyed our 3 week stay in your beautiful clean condo. Not liking air conditionning, we were looking for a place where we could leave the windows open. It was perfect with an amazing cross ventilation that was fresh day and night. We found everyone friendly, enjoyed the poolside get-togethers, the Friday morning Eco-Markets. Great location with only short walking distance to 5th Ave with all its restaurants and tiendas. An Excellent choice

Choose this condo if you want to make friends quickly in a beautiful garden oasis and live in a place that instantly feels like your home away from home. The photos are accurate. There is a lovely refreshing breeze that flows through the condo so no need for air conditioning. The condo is very clean and safe. We left the sliding doors open day and night. A very safe neighbourhood made walking to nearby restaurants comfortable and stress free. The beach is a comfortable block and a half away with easy access to beach clubs or a huge public beach depending on what you need. WiFi and cable service are sporadic at best but the TV is of good quality and can access Netflix if the WiFi is working. Comfortable king size bed with decent quality linens. Laundry service is dependable and affordable since this unit doesn't have a washer and dryer. The pool is clean and the pool area is well maintained. The garden surrounding is an oasis of palms and tended plants. A great place to meet greet and relax. Chris and Betsy are awesome condo owners and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.

Wonderfull location, kind people

We recommend hightly this condo. The location it's very interesting because near the beach and not to far to the busy center. We found everything we need in the condo, very confortable, quiet, incredible terrasse... We were in the same time that the owners in their another condo above, and we had some inforgetable cocktails. Yes, lets go, there, it's "la belle vie" !

Amazing Condo

An amazing condo with great owner and Property Manager, who always addresses questions promptly. Ideally located between the beach and 5th avenue, it feels like a slice of paradise. :) Electricity for 7 days cost extra 40 US Dollar, but electricity is expensive in Mexico. Chris and Betsy Bailey live in Tennessee but call Playa home all winter. You can find our personal details on Facebook at Betsy Woodham Pardue Bailey and we urge you to become Friends with us. We own two condos in Alizes and one is always available for rent and the other can be rented sometimes. We are both retired professionals and travel extensively.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We looked in several countries for just the right place to spend our winters and found Playa del Carmen was just right for us. Great dining in walking distance, great beaches, friendly expat community, lots of things to see and do and the weather is nearly perfect. Alizes fit our requirements with no windows looking into other condo windows and a fantastic garden and pool with plenty of shade under the coconut trees. We don't need a car and take inexpensive taxis if needed, for everything else we ride our bicycles or walk.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our Casa Toucan at Alizes is on the North end of 5th Ave and the beach and does not suffer from the noise of downtown Playa. Alizes attracts a young at heart middle aged crowd. We are a 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the restaurants and attractions of 5th Ave. You really do not need a car!
