The property was clean and well equipped. The view was amazing! The area was convenient to restaurants, but not crowded. The host was very responsive. Would definitely choose this propert again.
This is by far the most outdated unit we have every stayed in at Perdido Skye. We have stayed at 5 other units over the years and they have all been updated, clean, decorated beautifully and felt like a home. Unfortunately, this unit felt like no care has been taken to make it comfortable and welcoming. There were dirty coffee cups and dishes in the cabinet so we went and bought papers plates, cups and utensils to use while we were there. The property manager was very nice and helped us with questions that we had so that was great. The view and location is fabulous. This unit just needs some serious updates and a revamp.
Had a really great experience at this condo from start to finish! Autumn was very responsive by phone or texting when we had questions. The unit was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The deck had unbelievable views and we started our mornings here with coffee and finished the evening here with drinks. Even saw dolphins a couple of times! Jellyfish across the street was a great spot for happy hour and appetizers, the Salty Pearl was one of our favorites with fresh seafood. Publix and Dollar General are 5 minutes away for all of our essentials. The beach was really gorgeous and weâre already planning our next trip back! We will definitely return here!
While we enjoyed our visit, there are several things needed in this room:
- Master bedroom: blackout curtains in the bedroom (outside light VERY bright)
- Kitchen: dishrag or sponge, drying towels, hot pads, baking sheet, more forks
Overall: a more prominent sign is needed in front of the building. It's hard to see entrance especially at night.
There was still a lot of construction noise that woke us every morning, but we chose this property for the balcony and the view, which did not disappoint. Had a few hiccups and was not our smoothest rental by any means. Check-in was a bit of an ordeal and we had to get them to bring coffee filters so we could have coffee. Elevator is also way out of inspection. I'm sure that's the buildings responsibility, but it may need to be mentioned.
First, they claimed they were painting the building so it said we had to park across the street which was very annoying. Due to medical issues we needed handicap parking so this was a big inconvenience! On Friday we received a note on our car saying we would get towed even though we were told to park there. On Monday morning there was a knock at our door and before my husband could get to it two men let themselves in our condo saying they were there to paint the inside of the door. No advanced warning that anyone was coming. They said it would take them two hours and it was all day. At times they would leave our door wide open with no one there working. On Tuesday morning the water was off for two hours. On Friday the power was off for three hours. We had to walk down 8 flights of steps and on a fused ankle and two relatively new knee replacements and that was difficult. Even after we told them that we did not want them doing construction inside our condo they continued to harass us. I really feel that a renter should be told if they plan to be doing work inside the condo during the requested stay. That way one could decide if they wanted to look elsewhere. With all that being said the condo itself was ok and the weather was beautiful!!
This is a an older building that was under construction during our stay. Which was fine, it was just not told to us beforehand that there would be construction going on. With that being said, it was still a nice place, it was not loud at all, and the view is phenomenal!! We were on the 7th floor and it was amazing!! There was a slight problem with the code at check in, but was quickly and easily resolved. It was clean, but could have been done better. It was almost like they were in a hurry and didnât pay close attention to detail (shoes left under dresser, can left behind light on deck) small things. Overall, it was clean and there was plenty of towels, garbage bags, etc. Overall my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay again for sure!
Wonderful family trip to the beach! I donât understand the lower ratings given by previous guestsâŠ. We absolutely loved our stay! The condo is adorable and is RIGHT ON THE BEACH. Will definitely return.
