Chamberlands is a true gem to be discovered in Lake Tahoe. Located between Homewood and Tahoma on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, this neighborhood offers wonderful woodsy locations with many properties bordering on streams. There are approximately 300 homes in the Chamberlands subdivision, but only around 100 have access to the pool and tennis courts!
All homes have access to a private section of the beach and can use shuttle service for transportation from their homes to the beach. The shuttle departs every half hour on the hour beginning at 11am with the last regular run at 4:30pm. The shuttle operates on a limited basis (primarily over summer holiday periods and weekends) from approximately July 1st â August 20th. Visit the Chamberlands HOA website for additional information including shuttle route schedule during the summer months.
Chambers Landing Restaurant is a localâs favorite and located right next to the private beach area on the water. During the summer, offering an outdoor bar and grill during the day and open for fine dining in the evenings, Chambers Landing Restaurant has it all! The restaurant is open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Pull up and park your boat at the dock to enjoy all that Chambers Landing on the lovely West Shore is known for. A long wooden pier stretches out into the blue water with a small bar serving the famous âChambers Crushâ. A white sandy beach and supervised swimming area is perfect for enjoying a day with family or friends. The restaurant itself features wonderful Tahoe mountain ambiance and outstanding food. It's a short distance to the Chamberland's Shuttle to the lake where you can enjoy the private beach, pool and tennis during Summer. Full membership to the Chambers Landing Recreation Association (including Pool & Tennis access) included with this property.
Minutes from skiing at Homewood Mountain Resort. Close to Squaw Valley / Alpine Meadows. Short drive to Tahoe City. Close proximity to Obexer's Market and Tahoma Market, Dog & Bear, Cult Burger, West Shore Cafe and Where We Met Coffee Shop. Bring your bikes and enjoy the west shore bike trail.
Booking guest must be 25 years of age or older.
Maximum 10 adults (per county ordinance). Additional room for children under 16 up to a maximum of 12 (inquire with host when booking).
Community quiet hours from 9pm - 8am daily.
No events or parties. This is not a party house and is best suitable for those looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the mountains.
No smoking of vaping.
No commercial photography and / or filming allowed.
There is parking for 1 vehicle in the garage and 2 - 3 vehicles in the driveway (depending on the size of your vehicles). Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).
Cleaning fee charged is to cover the standard cost to clean house and service the hot tub at each turnover. Guest agrees to take financial responsibility for excess cleaning charges required in order to reasonably restore the property to original condition. With respect to the hot tub, if it is determined that the water has to be changed out (dump & scrub) due to guest negligence and / or abuse, a $150 fee will be charged to guest.
No outdoor fires or charcoal bbqâs allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).
Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.
Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked, and bear mats activated) whenever not present in the home.
The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. Youâll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
Winter house access is primarily through the attached garage. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe snow berms in front of the garage (a result of the plow service). There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.
WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.
ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, thereâs always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.
