This property is an absolute gem! I had a group of friends coming up from Ontario to experience the east coast and this place was incredible. Kelly’s communication was great, he is a great host. What a beautiful property! Highly highly recommend. We will be back!

Annual Family cottage week.

Everyone enjoyed their stay at this property. The extra space was great for the 3 little great-grands especially.It was helpful to have the facilities to put them to bed and not disturb them and also to allow for most of the adults to sleep in a little in the mornings.Kelly was pleasant and reasonable to deal with.

My immediate family (me, wife, 4 teenager) as well as some extended family (brother, sister, and her daughter) stayed here for a week. Wow. What a place. We did go do some local sightseeing in Halifax and Lunenburg, but our best times were at the place. It has all you need for a wonderful family vacation. Plenty of room for everyone, swimming off the dock, an incredible view, and a wonderful, super responsive host. It gets our highest recommendation.

A perfect get away

Such a great spot. Kelly is very knowledgeable and helpful! Great location and amenities offered! The house was very spacious. We had a group of 12 and fit comfortably!

This property was perfect for our needs. It is within a short driving distance to all of the sights in the area. Kelly was very easy to communicate with us and he helped us cook up our own lobster dinner. It is a peaceful place that is right on the ocean. I would definitely recommend his place for anyone staying in the area as a home base for all the activities in the area or just to relax. Our only regret was we didn’t stay longer.

Great time at Fox Point

All 11 of us loved it. Kelly was helpful and accommodating. Bicycling , sightseeing and golfing was great. Lots more stuff to do in this place.

On-the-water retreat

This property was one of our best rentals yet. Our party experienced so many wonderful things. Jumping off the dock was a very popular way to spend time in the sun.

Friendly Host

Host lived next door so he was available to answer any questions and assist in any way he could. He has a lobster pot on deck and cooked our dinner! We appreciated that. Lovely location.

Beautiful setting

A great spot for a family gathering. Loads of space included a larger screened in front room where we ate all of our meals. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats, and beautiful sunrises. Our host Kelly really cares for the property and is available in an instant for anything you might need.

Hard to beat this view!

7 ladies had a fabulous weekend! Lots of room, comfy beds, all the amenities of home and very clean! A huge deck to relax on and we watched the lobstermen prepare for the season. Everytime we went on the deck (which was alot!) we were in awe of the amazing view! Definitely hard to beat this view! I would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing views

We had a small family reunion for 7 adults and the house was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone. Home was clean and tidy. The view from the deck was amazing. We spent a lot of time out there or in the Sun room off the kitchen when we were gone visiting the many small towns nearby. Found some yummy places to eat as well. My sister and niece found a couple hiking trails nearby the property. There were some fishing poles available and I caught a large haddock. There was fun for all of us. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.

Amazing property and amazing host!

A family member was getting married in Hubbards this weekend and we were her decorating crew so needed somewhere to stay. The house was perfect it slept all 13 of us (10 adults, 3 little kids), it was clean, well maintained and had absolutely stunning views. Kelly was absolutely wonderful to deal with, we will definitely be back!

Great view and Great space!

We were 8 golfers looking for a location that would provide us with lots of sleeping options, kitchen facilities and outdoor space to enjoy at the end of the day! This location was perfect! Kelly is an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. He was easy to contact and respectful of our space. It was our second stay at this location and we would not hesitate to return.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

the most photographed view in Lunenburg County,this property is very close to home and absolutely wonderful to visit.The sounds of the fishing boats and gulls swirling in the air, the quiet evenings and spaciousness of the interior were major motivators in the purchasing of this property. At first it seemed daunting. Originally the site of a small 'fishstore'(that is a hut on the water that fishermen stored nets and made bouys/floats etc during the cold winter days) it was added on to over the years and used as a small fishplant before our acquisition The large apartment was built before we purchased and we added the second apartment a year later. We recognize that it is difficult for large groups to find accommodations suitable for families, etc and thought that this would be a good place for that. It is large and therefore everyone can find a space of their own. Although...........most people park in the sunroom and spend hours looking out at the cove.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

A lot of travellers like a home base to return to after their day away. This is that place.Just about everything to see in Southshore NS is within 45 min.travel and there is nothing more scenic than our view.You can stroll over to the Gov't dock and watch the fishermen bring in their catch or just ask our neighbors of the availability for fresh fish for supper. We have a lobster pot and boiler for lobster boils and a bar b que for hanging on the deck. There is a beautiful beach 4 miles away that is super for children and also a picnic beach just a mile away in Southwest Cove. We have good friends who run an adventure tourism business and they will bring kayaks to our dock if you wish to rent. There is a yoga loft 2 miles away with drop in classes nearly every day. There is a great little market Sat mornings in Hubbards and a great cafe 'The Trellis' where you can relax and eat some good food.Golf at Chester, a quick 30 min. drive offers some of the most spectacular ocean scenery you have ever seen at a golf course and there is a couple pubs and shops there as well.As we live so close by we are always ready to take care of our guest's requests. We have life jackets for the kids safety on the docks and if you can brave the temperatures can swim right off the dock.I'd never want to leave if I was vacationing here. It truly is a place to unwind and relax.
