Profitez de vacances inoubliables dans cet historique cottage en front de mer de 5 chambres, 3 salles de bain. Construit en 1940, il allie tradition et modernité.

Le niveau principal comprend une cuisine / salon bien aménagés - un lieu de rendez-vous idéal après une journée au soleil. Profitez de manger dans le porche extérieur fermé et confortable. Deux chambres et une salle de bain se trouvent à ce niveau. La salle de bain est accessible depuis une chambre et depuis le porche. A l'étage 3 chambres et 2 salles de bains.

Situé au centre-ville, le centre-ville de Wrightsville Beach est facilement accessible à pied des épiceries, des magasins et des restaurants. De nombreuses familles sont retournées dans ce chalet pour une escapade de vacances. Venez découvrir la plage de Wrightsville comme avant!

Great Family Home!

We loved staying at this beach cottage! There was plenty of space for our family, and the number of bathrooms and bedrooms made it perfect for our family. You cannot beat the location-the beach access is terrific, and the cute shops and restaurants are right down the street. Wonderful place to stay- we will definitely be back!

Great location - tired house

Bryant was very helpful, but in the end, this property is really bad. It was dirty (baseboard and other areas with dirt), paint is peeling everywhere, original windows that will not open (or stay open), and just not a very nice property. We were very disappointed, and would not recommend this property at all.

Beachy cottage

The location is great and the house is large and comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone inside and out on the porch. Light and bright upstairs. Only thing missing was a grill which would have been useful since the kitchen is tired. We would definitely stay there again!

Location, location, location!

If we had been any closer to the water, our feet would have been wet. Fantastic location, not just for its location right on the beach, but also for its convenience to all of the nightlife, shops, restaurants, and attractions in Wrightsville Beach. The house is older than the newer ones around it, but it did NOT lack for amenities, cleanliness, or comfort. Will definitely stay here again!

Great Place, Some Improvements in Order

I have a love of old beach houses. This one was absolutely perfect for location and ambiance. It is in need of some minor updates but overall the experience was great. I was happy to see a washer and dryer on site but they are small and pretty old. Some of our clothes came out with "burn" marks. I loved all the rocking chairs on the porch but at least one was coming apart and made it unsafe. The furniture was comfy, but really worn out. All else was really great. Just can't beat the location and the number of rooms and spaces for people to hang out was really really great.

Good Time

Perfect location but grimy house!

The location and amount of rooms was great but the house was dingy and gross. The bathrooms were grimy and the kitchen had dirty dishes in the pantry. The coffee maker and dryer both both. The handle for the freezer popped straight off. The house needs to be updated and cleaned properly!!!

Lovely location; tight fit

I love an old school beach house, especially one on the beach! House had some charm but for our group, it didn’t quite work. Too cold to get much use out of porch so fitting 3 families into 1 living room with 1 couch wasn’t great. Kitchen also cramped and no indoor dining space. Deck is a bit crumbly and ready to give you some splinters. Didn’t like renting through Vrbo but getting passed to a rental company and having to fill out more contracts.

charged for a pet. No pet was there. Charged for damage fee. Nothing was damaged. Charged for parking passes and was not told specifically to return them at a cost of $300/pass. all in all, very unsatisfactory.

Back in the day merges with the modern life here.

If you're looking for lush accommodations, high rise views and 60" TV screens pass on this one. BUT...if you're looking for the Wrightsville Beach LIFE as it was intended, this this your spot! The stuff in the kitchen works, you DO NOT HAVE TO LUG STUFF UP three flights of stairs, if you want food and drink it's a super easy walk, if you dig clear-clean water to swim in, and if you enjoy surrounding yourself with real NC history, book this cottage. The beds are numerous and comfortable. The wrap around porch entices reading, board games, discussion, and just sitting there to enjoy what life is really meant to be on my beloved Wrightsville Beach. Have a Surfer Dog (add slaw) at Trolly Stop, have Pina Colda at The Oceanic, take home some chicken salad from Robert's Grocery...it needs to be on the NC historic record, and grab something that was receltly swiming at King Keptune's. There's also late night fun at Red Dog's ALL WITHIN WALIKING DISTANCE.

Historic Wrightsville Beach Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a family of 9. Chequers had plenty of bed space and a beautiful wrap around porch (though dunes obstruct beach views from porch - disclosed in description beforehand.) Common areas were a challenge for our larger group, but again, we knew this going in as it's a 1940s cottage. Dining is either around the counter or on the porch. As we live in the area we brought a 6' banquet table and folding chairs to add to the existent porch table and that allowed us to eat together. Not too hot for us, as it was in the shade and in June. It might be a challenge later in the summer. We enjoyed having easy access to the beach and to downtown Wrightsville Beach. Parking is a slight challenge (as it always is at WB) with some jostling for street spots (2 street passes are included with the rental and the house has 2-3 spots, depending on car size.) Kitchen is well stocked.

Great Location, House Needs TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect location on the beach and a few short blocks from restaurants. The house is low to the ground, though, so there is a limited view of the beach from the porch and lower level. Beds are comfortable but house needs a deep cleaning and TLC. Master shower was unusable due to a slow trickle rather than spray, so everyone upstairs had to share the guest bathroom shower. Dryer took about 3 hours to dry a load of laundry. Bathrooms were pretty grimy and there is a layer of dust/hair on the light fixtures and baseboards. There was no hair dryer, hangers in the closets, or extra blankets. We had friends bring us hangers so hopefully they will be left in the closets for future guests.

Worst experience ever

Check in 4 pm Friday. check out 10 am Sunday. Refrigerator warm upon arrival. Had to buy coolers to preserve our food. Repaired Sat. afternoon. Only 1 burner working on stove out of 4. Couldn’t cook. Fixed Sat night. Main shower upstairs completely clogged. Repaired Sat evening. One bed soaked with urine upon arrival. Never fixed. Someone had to sleep on couch. Dryer broken. Never fixed. One trash can outside full when we arrived. Three repair people in our place when were literally there less than 42 hours. Had to call property management 4 times. Not how you want to spend your vacation. Awaiting word from property management regarding refund. I have never complained about any place I have stayed. Highly disappointing.

Excellent location, relaxing stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Steps from the beach and appreciate the historic vintage feel. Plenty of space for 6 people, each of us had our own beds. View of the ocean from 2 of the 3 upstairs bedrooms. Property is clean, air conditioning excellent for both floors, and beds are comfy. We prepared all of our meals in. There's plenty of dishes, glasses and pots/pans/utensils. We did bring our own spices, knives, small camping/portable grill, extra TP, paper towels/plates, garbage bags, extra dishtowels and beach towels (as recommended). We really enjoyed eating all of our meals outside on the shaded front porch, it has such a good cross breeze in the front corner. Rocking chairs are a nice touch. We had a minor problem with stovetop and maintenance came quickly and fixed it in 5 mins. The 2 outdoor showers with warm water helps to rinse off before going in the house. This was a perfect place to stay during the pandemic. It's located between 2 lifeguard stands, therefore just a little less crowded on the beach. Walk left for the downtown or turn right for Johnnie Mercers. Took nightly walks on the beach for stargazing. One night we were blessed to experience a rare bioluminescent plankton, which made the sand in your footsteps sparkle with glittering light. Very relaxing stay and we will come back again.
