Located in beautiful Carolina Beach, this gorgeous oceanfront property, recently updated in 2025, features a heated saltwater pool that lights up at night, private beach access with shower, and large backyard that are exclusive to the two units of the duplex and shared by the guests of both units.

Permanent Waves has 5 bedrooms with 4 1/2 baths, water views from nearly every room that can accommodate 14 guests comfortably and in style. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the table and 2 bars provide seating for up to 14 with additional seating for 4 on the oceanfront porch. Wireless internet is available throughout the unit. Each bedroom and the main living room enjoy Smart TV's with premium cable packages. A Blu-ray DVD player, DVD's, books, games and puzzles for all ages are at your fingertips.

Bedroom 1 is on the 3rd floor and features a king bed, vaulted ceiling, large bathroom with jetted tub and tiled shower, desk for work/study, and large oceanfront balcony with porch swing. Bedroom 2 is located on the 3rd floor and has a king bed, large bathroom, and beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Bedroom 3 is located oceanfront on the 1st floor with a queen bed, full bath and seating available on the oceanside porch. Bedroom 4 is located on the 1st floor Waterway side and has a queen over queen set of bunk beds. It shares a full bath with Bedroom 5, which has a twin over twin set of bunks and a twin trundle.

Exclusive to this unit are a private, outdoor hot & cold shower, propane gas grill, multiple boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a beach cart, sand toys and pool floats.

During your stay you will receive a welcome bag with paper towels, napkins, laundry pods, dryer sheets, dishwasher pods and other goodies to make your stay more enjoyable.

The owners use this property throughout the year so it is upscale with all the comforts of home. In an effort to keep our home in top shape for all of our guests we require a 3 day minimum stay in the off-season and a Sunday to Sunday 7-day stay in the summer.

Permanent Waves, Unit 2, is perfect for families getting together for a reunion. For larger family reunions and multiple families vacationing together, the entire house, Waves and Sun, (VRBO #4253263) is available for rent. Waves and Sun, can accommodate 25-28 guests.

Beach Paradise

Beautifully decorated house with everything we needed thoughtfully provided. Plenty of towels, beach chairs, toys and more. The pool was enjoyed by all. Comfortable bed and bedding, easy to cook in the kitchen with nice cookware and sharp knives. Very relaxing week for the whole family. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing Beach House and Stay

All the family came in for a 4 day beach stay / birthday party. The beach house is completely updated and well equipped for all ages. Plenty of space inside and out heated pool and elevator big plus. In the spaces below the house is a new grill, beach chairs, beach toys, pool toys etc. Highly recommended for large families!!

The perfect vacation

This home and its location offered everything we needed and more. Clean, well maintained, well stocked with all cookware, etc. the pool is heated! The decor and bedding, etc is all quality. The beautiful beach is steps away, the property hosts were so kind and organized. It was hard to leave this beautiful home.

Wonderful NC Experience!

This place truly had it all. We had 10 families staying in this unit and the other one which all shared the pool. It was the absolute perfect set up! We created so many wonderful memories there with our family. So much pool time! The access to the beach was incredible and we seriously lucked out getting to see dolphins out in front daily. With so many families, we appreciated having all of the spaces to hang out. A huge plus was having an elevator available for when our relative who is in a wheelchair came to visit. He was able to go in the house anywhere and out at the pool anywhere thanks for wonderful flooring and smooth concrete. The amount of dishes, pool/beach toys etc you don’t need to bring anything. The communication was wonderful, early check in became possible and they let us know which was great. The owners for both places communicated making sure we had everything we needed and were available to us if we needed. Highly recommended!

Perfect home for a family trip. The house is located in a great area at CB and the pool is an added bonus. Well stocked kitchen, beautiful views and cozy furniture. The owners are exceptional with responding to questions and needs and made the trip so easy from start to finish!

One of the best beach houses we have ever stayed at. Very good location and everything was in great working order. A few of us were older and the elevator was a life saver. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect house

We really appreciated how the basic supplies were in the house—garbage bags, toilet paper, condiments, etc. Having that as well as beach chairs, toys and games made the stay so much easier and enjoyable. Pool was great. Paying 200$ for linens was a bit steep, but they did make the beds.

Lovely beachfront stay.

We visited for a family wedding and had friends and family staying close by. It was great to hang out by the pool, fly kites on the beach and generally enjoy the property. The house was well appointed with pretty much everything we needed. The bed layout is great. It easily accommodated our varied family group. Plenty of room to get ready for the festivities. Parking easily accommodated 4 cars (could squeeze in one more if they're small). The host was great in communication and readily adjusted our reservation when we needed to adjust dates.

Great Beach House

Property was great and was very close to the beach. Everything was clean, working and communication with the owner was easy. I didn’t read the listing super detailed before booking and when we arrive found out that they do not provide sheets for the beds and you’re expected to bring your own. This was entirely my fault for missing but is a little unusual for a property this size. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would definitely use this property again.

A group of couple friends accompanied us to this lovely condo. It was perfect in every way! Very comfortable, well stocked and ocean front with a pool and parking for 4 vehicles. We’ve already made reservations for next year!!!

Phenomenal Property

This property was PHENOMENAL. It was by far, the best rental property any of us have ever stayed. We had such high expectations after the fantastic reviews we had read when booking and it still exceeded our expectations. we have never been in a cleaner or more well maintained property than this home. It is also fully stocked where you feel as if you’re renting someone’s well lived-in home. The kitchen had plentiful dishes, glasses, cookware, spices, oils, etc. the space is beautiful. The pool area is pristine and well-maintained and to have a private boardwalk to the beach is unmatched. This location was exceptional both on Carolina Beach and access to boardwalk, grocery, and restaurants as well as the location on the beach. Public access is just far enough away that our beach was never crowded or having to fight for spots. Could not recommend this home enough. We will be back next summer!
