Splashed with sunlight, the interior of Sunny Daze is as comfortable as it is charming. The main living room features ample seating, a gas fireplace, a smart TV, and effortless balcony access. When you aren't hanging out here, enjoy engaging in some playful competition over the pool table in the family room. A kitchenette and leather seating are also available here, perfect for the adult's nightly hangouts.

Cooking is made a breeze in the well-equipped kitchen. Complete with a full suite of appliances, nifty gadgets, and ample meal prep space, show off your culinary skills here before dining together at the expansive dining table.

OBX experience

Decent Stay

The house was not at all as described. Photos listed on site were old. House is very out dated. Cob web and bugs throughout the house. Breakers were tripped and we had to call for service. Vents are falling out of the ceiling. House smelled disgusting when we arrived. Most outlets didn’t work. I will definitely read reviews before booking another trip.

Wonderful Experience

The house was so clean and all the amenities were so amazing. We spend so much time in pool, hot tub and the location from the beach was so perfect……. We will definitely be back soon!

Summer Daze

Location near Harris Teeter and Timbuck II was a plus. Distance to the beach was a bummer. The beach is lovely and the access to the beach is great once you find it. Having to walk so far to get there, or there not being any parking nearby was a hardship. The hot=tub and pool table were great. Oven and fridge worked well, but no ice makers functioning. Rain showers were great, but the furniture was generally dowdy.

Perfect for what we needed

The house is definitely in need of some good loving. A deep clean, kitchen reno, and deck rebuild would make this a significant upgrade/investment opportunity to justify the cost. The house is just what we needed. Easy to maneuver with 3 levels of steps inside and outside. Sound proof with the kids on the main floor (loud, video games, pool, pool table, and a mini kitchenette) to not bug/bother the adults in the rest of the house. It’s an older home that leaves a lot to be desired. It is generally clean, I did my own cleaning before the crew arrived because there were piles of dust/sand that the housecleaning staff missed and I like things to be sterile before I feel comfortable. The furniture layout and amount of chairs/couches/stools/etc was exactly as expected. The basketball hoop was broken when we arrived. The customer service team was quick to say they reported it but no one showed up to fix it. At any point during our stay. When we arrived, a gentleman drove up as we unpacked and asked if we checked in already. I advised I received the text notification that the house was ready and the code was activated. He looked at the pool, noted the sandy bottom and said someone would be out asap to clean. No one showed up until the following Wednesday. The pool guy added chemicals, emptied the trap/filter for the pool and set up the hose to add water. Never cleaned up the sand. Only knew he was there because he had ear buds in and didn’t see/hear us leaving as he was setting up. We must have scared him. The house is a good hike from the beach BUT you can drive down, drop your stuff off by the entrance of the beach or use the cart provided at the house to carry your stuff, and then repack the car, walk back. I’d list myself as a fully functional body that can walk a mile without getting winded… the walk from the house to the beach was 5 city blocks. Not bad, flat, no hills, and easy to figure out how to get to the beach. For all intents and purposes, this house worked great for a multi generational family that had a varying degree of needs. It was in a great proximity to shops, restaurants, Harris Teeter and Food Lion, the sound and beach. I’d stay here again but I wouldn’t be as reluctant to pay peak pricing for what we received. My suggestion is to lower the weekly prices by at least $500, suggest $1500, unless serious improvements will occur.

Pictures are deceiving

The air conditioning and hot tub were nice, but overall the house was very dingy and needs a lot of cleaning and fixing up. The pictures made me feel like I was getting a much nicer house than we did for the price I paid. This house could definitely use a deep cleaning and some upgrades. Looks like all updates were done DIY. There was an ant trap in the kitchen but the top level and lower level had ants. Beds were not comfortable. There were no reviews at the time of my booking, hoping this review helps others!

House needs a deep cleaning

I wish there were reviews at the time I booked because I would have changed my mind. This house was not only left dirty from the previous renters (after cleaning service cleaned) but also is dirty and needs major cleaning. Couches were dingy and needed sheets over them for us to feel comfortable sitting on them. Floors were dirty. Bedroom fans have a layer of dust on them. There were fingernails left on the back of the couch and the windowsill. The vents were blowing dust onto beds and the upstairs AC was not functioning. Vacasa sent out a repair guy who changed the dirty air filters which fixed the issue. One out of three coffee pots worked. I usually don’t review but I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t. I wish there were reviews when I was booking our trip. Vacasa was very helpful and we have never had issues before this listing. The house was a few minute walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were nice and the kids loved the downstairs pool table. The house is situated on a cul-de-sac which made it nice for the kids to bike and hang out. I feel like this house needs to be deeply cleaned and you would be able to look past the updating that needs to be done.
