Welcome to Eagle’s Rest
Managed by Northern Michigan Escapes

Escape to Eagle’s Rest, a peaceful and private guest suite nestled along the water—perfect for relaxing getaways, remote work, or a cozy retreat in any season.
Also please note that there is long term renter on the top portion of the property.

Located on the lower level of the home, this suite features its own private entrance, offering both comfort and complete privacy throughout your stay.

Inside, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed open-concept living space with everything you need to feel at home. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, and both a traditional coffee maker and Keurig—ideal for slow mornings or fueling up before a day of exploring. An electric fireplace adds warmth and ambiance, making this space especially inviting during fall and winter.

There are two queen bedrooms, both offering beautiful views of Lake Michigan and equipped with smart TVs. You’ll also find a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as a newly remodeled half bath—perfect for helping everyone get ready and out the door for the day’s (or night’s) adventures.

A small desk area is also available, perfect for catching up on work or working remotely with ease.
Although this rental does not have air conditioning, its shaded position and basement layout help keep it naturally cool and comfortable throughout the warmer months.

Step outside to your enclosed patio, or head down to the private beachfront—a true highlight of the property. Whether you're watching the sunset, enjoying a quiet morning by the water, or gathering around the fire pit in the evening, this setting offers a memorable Northern Michigan experience.

Beautiful Lakeside Retreat with our dog. Nice fenced in property with all the amenities and a wonderful bathroom and shower!! Enjoyed town and the gorgeous sunsets! Will definitely head back in warmer weather!

The property was beautiful, clean and quiet, with an amazing view of the lake! The screened porch was a perfect spot for listening to the waves at night and enjoying a drink. Being able to bring our dog was an added benefit. I would highly recommend the property. Great place to relax and enjoy time with our family and friends!

Perfect Spot

This place was amazing! The views and sunsets were incredible, everything was clean and as shown. Lots of outdoor seating options, plus plenty of space inside. We did occasionally hear the renters above walking through the ceiling but nothing loud, to be expected, and we had the swing all to ourselves through our stay. We were able to explore Petoskey, Boyne City, and Charlevoix with short drives.

You happened to visit during an exceptionally rare 93-degree stretch in Northern Michigan, which can certainly make homes without central air feel uncomfortable, especially when cooking. Because such hot weather is uncommon in the region, many homes were originally built without central air, but we recognize how important comfort is during those rare summer spikes. Your comments about central air and the smoke alarm going off are valuable and will be shared with ownership so that they can evaluate future improvements. We’re glad the rest of the property met your expectations, and we hope that in more typical Northern Michigan weather—which is much cooler and milder—you’ll find it far more enjoyable. The location was perfect - being directly on Lake Michigan without a ton of steps (none) and also close to Charlevoix. The road in which the property is located is a dirt road, so be aware before you bring a "classic car" or etc. Property was very clean, and the decor/amenities were great.

Gorgeous private beachfront

Modern lower level w decent furnishings, screened in patio, nice area for pet .This was our second visit and it’s still very nice and private.Could use some fly remedies as they are getting in thru some openings not sealed in the unit. We bought Windex to mitigate. There is no dishwasher so we washed all our dishes before using.Also could use a good sweeping in the enclosed patio.Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and recommend if you can deal with the mentioned issues. Thanks

We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered and appreciate you bringing them to our attention. We understand how frustrating it can be to have flies getting in, and while we know seasonal pests can be common in Northern Michigan, the openings allowing them inside should absolutely be addressed. We’ve passed this along to our property management team to identify and seal any gaps to prevent this from happening in the future. Your patience in handling the situation with Windex during your stay is greatly appreciated, but we know guests shouldn’t have to deal with this on their own. We also acknowledge the lack of a dishwasher and understand the inconvenience of having to wash dishes before use. We’ve shared this with the property owner to ensure dishware is thoroughly inspected and cleaned between guest stays. Additionally, your suggestion for better sweeping in the enclosed patio has been noted and communicated to housekeeping to ensure a more thorough job is done moving forward. It’s great to know that despite these inconveniences, you still enjoyed your stay and would recommend the property to others. Beautiful location!

The property was well cared for and spotlessly clean. Information about the rental, and ideas for activities, restaurants, etc. in the area were informative. The photos presented the interior as a much larger living area, but it was fine for 2 of us. The furnishings were comfortable and tasteful. Being on the water was a big positive, and the side yard for the dog was a big plus. The negative aspect was the fact that the upstairs renters could be heard overhead when they were home. (Their movement, music, and dogs) Fortunately, they were not excessively noisy.

Nice Lakefront Property

We had a nice weekend at this property. The location is very nice. It had a large yard that leads down to Lake Michigan with a very nice, large screened back porch, and a wooden swing and fire-pit down by the lake. It also has nice side yard fenced off if you bring your dog. Bringing our pet service animal was a big plus. A couple of negatives, the property is on the lower level so there is someone who lives above, so renters should be aware. You can hear the upstairs residents. Might also caution anyone with mobility issues and suitcases that you do have to walk down a stoney path to access the unit. It does not have a dishwasher which wasn't a big deal for a weekend, but for a family staying for longer, it may be. Amenities are in very short supply - no soap whatsoever in the shower, but there was some liquid handsoap by the sinks. Overall it is was a nice stay.
