A: Absolutely. Children are welcome at the house, however, the house may not be suitable for young children because of the indoor fireplace, lack of child-proofing features and a steep hill with access to the water.
Q: Will I encounter any wild animals?
A: The house is located in a natural & wooded area, so you may see & hear bugs, bald eagles and ospreys and other birds, furry critters of all sizes (including but not limited to deer, squirrels, and rodents), & reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in & around the property. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property.

This house had been a dream of ours for a long time. We are from the DC area, have two young kids, a menagerie of animals and wanted a place within an easy drive of DC on the water where we, and our friends, can come to get out of the hustle. The second we drove into Montross, we instantly fell in love with it. It's oozing with charm, super friendly people and really fun things to do! We think the Northern Neck is the best kept secret in the area. Weâve done a lot of work to try to make it the best experience possible for you and yours.
