Nestled among the serene Tennessee mountains, this charming fully remodeled ranch home stands as a true haven of tranquility with a modern feel! Offering 2 inviting bedrooms and 1 bath, it guarantees a life of peace and quiet but also close enough to downtown to enjoy the restaurants and activities. The long driveway provides ample parking for multiple vehicles
The owner is very quick to communicate with you. The home is small, but very clean and well kept. Location was convienent and in a fairly quiet neighborhood.Cons:Driveway is uphill with a small area to turn aroundNo chairs on front porch to sit onNo dishwasher in kitchen. We would stay here again!
We were in Kingsport to visit relatives and needed a place to stay. This house was clean, comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We didnât need to cook, so I canât speak to that. The only negative I have to say is that the air freshener was too strong when we first got there. It made us wonder if it was going to smell bad when it wore off but it didnât. The house didnât need it. Iâd definitely stay here again and just ask the host to hold the air freshener.
Visiting on laws for Thanksgiving and usually we stay in a hotel but since they are elderly and no longer up for cooking, I decided to rent a home so they could come over to eat. This house was perfectâŠit was 5 mins from their house. My husband l, daughter, and I had everything we needed and check in was easy. I verified with the owner that it was ok for the family to come over for the meal and they said it was ok.
House had more than I expected-pots, pans, etc and it was just what I needed. Got nice and warm when the temps got into the 20âs. My only very minor issue which is more me specific is that the motion detector lights outside are very sensitive and kept flashing on and off at night. It kept me up because it felt as if a flashlight was shining in. That being said, you could just bring an eye mask. Or sleep like my husband and not even notice! đ
Will definitely book here again next time we are in town.
Though there was hypoallergenic lotion in the bathroom, the linens were very fragrant. The odor permeated the entire house and caused quite an allergic response for me. I had to create a mask for myself so I could sleep the first night. The smell did dissipate a bit more each day, but my arms and hands were red & itchy all week. Allergy medicine did help somewhat, but what a nuisance! The curtains in the bedrooms are very thin, so if you want to sleep in past daybreak, bring a sleep mask. I used a hand-towel over my eyes. The bathtub faucet is not properly attached to the wall. It was difficult to push/pull the knob to turn the shower on/off for fear of pulling the faucet off the wall. The toilet seat slides from side to side.
I did not contact the host with these issues during the week, but I think they can all be easily fixed. If/when they are, then this would be a great rental property. Everything was very clean. We didn't eat in the home, but it looked like everything you would expect in the kitchen was there.
Everything about our stay just before my wedding was delightful. Beautifully put together house and you wonât go wrong with booking here for your trip to Kingsport whether it be for business or pleasure.
Great location to get to things in town. But it was a little dirty. Still crumbs on the counters, hairs in the bedding, dog hair poking out of the couch. There is beautiful outdoor areas but no seats to enjoy it. We stayed with my spouse and in laws and there just was not enough space for 4 adults. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was definitely not a âbadâ experience but personally would not return to this one.
Came to Kingsport to visit family & friends. Sevier Cottage was convenient to restaurants & shopping. Will definitely stay here on our next trip. Thanks for everything.
This was a great place to stay, the home is clean and cute. The neighborhood was quiet, near a park, and close to town. Checking in was easy and the hosts are polite and easy to work with.
The property itself was just as advertised. The location was great - close to a lot of good restaurant options. When I left there was an ambulance and 5 or 6 police cars about 10 houses down from where I was staying. I know if my wife was with me, she would not feel safe staying there again. Could be nothing, but it was definitely eye-opening.
