It was a very nice, quiet place. The owner was very accommodating and always available for questions or needs of the occupants. I will definitely stay when I return to the area.

This is a cozy little house in a quiet neighborhood - actually in the owner's side yard. Ample room for a couple to enjoy. Lynn provided bottles of water, coffee and pastries. Plenty of towels and a comfortable bed. Kitchen fully furnished including microwave. There is not a dishwasher but who cooks when there's just two of you! We were there in July. The yard had plenty of shade. It was just what we needed for our trip.

Wonderful cottage with a Fabulous Hostess

This cute cottage was clean, comfortable, well stocked and decorated for the season. The hostess went above & beyond to help us settle in & provided food & even some birthday surprises on my birthday! The Greenbelt Trail is nearby & we brought our bicycles, which we were given access to the garage to store them in during our visit. We had an excellent stay here & highly recommend!

The Wright Place is the Right Place!!

This is our second stay and once again it was excellent. Even though we had to last minute reschedule because of Hurricane Milton and we are from the Tampa Area, everyone was very accommodating to find another time and not lose any money. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to Eastern Tennessee. Very convenient to everything.

Perfect Little Get-Away House

This property is perfect for a get away for 1 or 2 people. Quiet with easy access. Furnishing are comfortable and inviting. The owners are attentive and helpful.

Beautiful, peaceful, just an awesome place to stay. Owners were excellent!!

It's absolutely wonderful!! The deer come to feed. Homeowners were great! They actually washed and dried our clothes . Just a great place to stay!

Cute little cottage. We enjoyed our short stay. Lynn was over and above with attention to detail. Bagels and muffins were a nice touch, along with little snacks.

Absolutely fantastic!

One of the best vacation rentals ever! I was traveling alone and this was the perfect stop for a single lady. Lynn and her family were wonderful hosts. The cottage is on the back of their property, where you are guaranteed to see the deer they feed, a highlight of my time there. Lynn has created a home away from home and her attention to detail is lovely and so welcoming. I hope to visit again! If you’re looking for quiet, seclusion, and super friendly owners, this is your stop!

New Years Getaway

Lynn was awesome from beginning to end! Yhe place is just as described and Lynn makes every effort in her power to make your stay as accommodating, easy, warm and friendly as humanly possible! I would highly reccomend this place as a place to stay for a couple or single needing a place to stay in the Kingsport area! We visited the LampLight Theater while there for a new year's event and loved the whold city and experience. Beautiful place to visit and Lynn os a wonderful Host to have!!! Thanks Lynn for eveything and may God Bless you and your family always!

Amazing Cottage- Will stay again!

Lynn and her family are amazing and so accommodating and welcoming! ❤️ She made sure we had everything we could possibly need for our stay and was very knowledgeable of the Kingsport area! She gave amazing recommendations on activities and restaurants. She is truly committed to quality service with her cottage and it shows! Incredible Hospitality!

I stayed here when visiting the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough. An easy 30 min drive from there, this cottage was the perfect retreat. The whole place was decorated for Halloween/Fall, which was so adorable and made me feel so very welcome. There were thoughtful details everywhere, like snacks in the kitchen and toiletry items in case I had forgotten anything in the bathroom. The bed and couch were both super comfy. Outdoor area was also lovely and peaceful. Lynn was a great communicator and made me feel very well cared for. I had no concerns during my stay, but I feel like if I had Lynn would have helped out right away. Property and neighborhood felt very safe for a solo traveler. Peaceful but still nearby grocery store in lots of restaurants. Highly recommend!

Best stay of our lives! Incredible hospitality ❤️

I can’t even put into words how incredible our stay was at The Wright Place, but I will try! We drove up from Florida for our 5th anniversary with our 4 year old daughter. We were greeted by the host and her family who helped us carry our luggage into the cottage. It was absolutely perfect! Clean, cozy, warm, decorated for fall, stocked with SO MANY amenities, and even had snacks, coffee and breakfast pastries (muffins, bagels/cream cheese/cookies) and even hot cocoa and marshmallows for our little one. When we went upstairs to our bedroom they had left an anniversary gift and full-sized paw patrol stuffy for our daughter as welcome gifts. That evening they invited us to their house for dinner and we shared an amazing meal together. Please don’t book any other place if you want to feel like you’re staying with friends/family. This is the ONLY place we will stay when coming back to this area and now consider the Wright family as our own next of kin. Thank you so much for such a wonderful place to call our second home!

Home Away From Home

In all of our stays, in all of the different locations, in all of the different accommodations, we have NEVER stayed anywhere as wonderful as this! From the personal welcome by Lynn, to the spotless cleanliness of the rental, and all of the thoughtful touches along the way, there was not a single detail that the hosts did not put considerable thought into. This place felt just like home, and in fact had the most comfortable bed we’ve ever come across in our travels. Lynn made certain that we didn’t want for a single thing. The rental was adorably decorated, the kitchen was well stocked, the bathroom was well appointed with big fluffy towels, and the furnishings were both stylish AND comfortable. Lynn even left a sweet little welcome note and some treats for us to enjoy during our stay. If you are in this area, THIS is the place to stay. We look forward to returning and catching up with Lynn and her sweet family!

Tiny Home Dream Stay

We pulled up to the property and one of the host was there waiting for us. Everything was clearly explained to us on how to operate everything. A tour was provided to us, with my son being Autistic they made special accommodation and did not push him on talk or interaction with them. They even got him a gift to help him with the transition to being in a new place and set up a special area for him to sleep. We could not have asked to have been treated any better. We were conveniently located to shopping and restaurants, however I loved that they had a stove and provided items for me to be able to cook for my son and I. I highly recommend this place to anyone and as soon as I know the dates for the convention next year we will definitely be back.

If you’re coming to Kingsport, this is where you want to be. The host is a gem … Lynn and Doug made sure we had everything (and I mean everything) we possibly could have needed from fresh baked goods to toiletries and firewood for a bonfire. I could not recommend this rental more - you will be very happy with your decision, should you decide to stay here. 5 stars all around.

Couldn't ask for a cleaner place and more accommodating host. They were the top that we have ever had. The A/C was always perfect.The extra special effects placed in the cottage were beyond what we could of ever hoped for. Snacks, treats and even an unexpected meal all ready for us when we arrived. The personality of the Host were phenomenal.

My husband and I moved here from Florida with our 7 year old son, Cayden in 2017. My husband is a retired police officer and my background is in customer service. Unfortunately I have some health issues but I wasn't willing to give up my love for serving others so we created "The Wright Place".
I love providing an experience for my guests and meeting new people and making new friends from all over.

The cottage is located in a wonderful area. It feels like you are up in the mountains but yet you are also close to stores and restaurants. The deer and wild turkeys visit us daily.
