Summary:

Forest-framed A-frame with hot tub, barrel sauna, and cold plunge—your private spa after Galbraith & Lookout Mountain rides or coastal hikes. Unwind by the fireplace or under the string-lit firepit. Two queen bedrooms with skylights, full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a deck for golden-hour hangs. Fairhaven dining nearby. ~1 hr to Mt. Baker. Best midweek rates.



The Space:

• Living: open-beam A-frame, wood-burning fireplace, leather seating, smart TV, forest views

• Sleep (upstairs): two queen bedrooms, each with AC, large skylights, cozy sitting areas

• Baths: 2 full baths (one upstairs between bedrooms, one on main level)

• Kitchen/Dining: fully equipped kitchen + custom live-edge dining table

• Outdoors (Spa Setup): upper deck with teak seating + hot tub; lower spa area with barrel sauna and cold plunge near the string-lit flagstone firepit

• Vibe: quiet, woodsy setting with frequent deer sightings—feels tucked away, yet close to town

The Neighborhood:

Gate 3 of Sudden Valley—family-friendly, tree-lined streets. Cascade Park is a short walk. Lake access, marina, and beaches are near Gate 1; Community Center (Gate 2) has pool & fitness via affordable day passes.



Getting Around:

~15 minutes to Bellingham & Fairhaven. Day trips: Mount Baker, Chuckanut Drive, San Juan Islands, Vancouver BC. Car recommended.



Other Things to Note:

•Dogs: up to 2 house-trained dogs (no cats). $35 per dog per night. Include pups in booking; keep off furniture/beds. No unattended dogs at the home. Pet fee added via quick alteration after booking.

•Firewood: bring a couple bundles of dry firewood + kindling for prime fires. We do provide firewood as well.

•Arrival info: directions, codes, house details sent before arrival.

•Check-in/out: no early check-ins or late check-outs; if we’re ready before 4 pm, we’ll message you.

•Nearby essentials: Sudden Valley Market and Deli, Tino’s Pizza, El Agave (~5 minutes).

This was a fabulous property and location for privacy and close proximity to town as well as outdoor areas for hiking. I would come back hands down. Great hot tub and sauna.

We loved our stay. The house is super comfortable and the hosts have really thought about all the big and little ways to make their guests comfortable. We loved the sauna and cold plunge with the jacuzzi. Such a treat. The house is beautiful and well kept. We would definitely come back.

The property was impeccably clean and well organized. What a cozy and beautiful little cottage nestled in the trees. If you are looking for a place to exhale, this is it! The hosts were amazing, assisting all along the way even with items that were above and beyond. While we never needed any assistance, we always knew they were there if we needed them. The kitchen was wonderfully appointed and equipped and everything worked perfectly. It felt like a cabin deep in the woods while we were ony 15 mins from all the restaurants and other businesses and attractions in Bellingham. The deer outside in the mornings were an added treat. This is a great spot. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful cabin close to amenities. Incredibly quiet, clean, private and comfortable. I appreciated the AC and fans in both bedrooms. Ample parking and very easy access and check in. We enjoyed our stay!

Had all the amenities in kitchen. Bath , laundry room. One thing would be helpful if had hand railing in bath, shower . Upstairs one is very high and hard to get out of. Dangerous for old . Aren't dressers in room.

Although raining nonstop, the cozy home was a perfect refuge. The woodstove was crackling, the kitchen was well stocked and hearing the rain on the roof was lulling.

Long weekend away

We stayed at this property for a quick family getaway with our newborn baby, the kitchen was well stocked for us to cook in, the washer/dryer was an awesome added amenity with a newborn who goes through multiple outfits a day, and we loved having some relaxing time in the hot tub after bedtime! The property was even better than the listing showed, we’d absolutely stay here again!

A beautiful little spot away

We loved this cabin. It's beautifully updated, with nice, careful features. It's conveniently located near excellent hiking and water sports opportunities; as well as a small grocery and a couple of restaurants. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay and this place. Beautiful area, lots to do, great mountain biking, found a wonderful spa in Ferndale (Flow Motion), and everything we needed - washer/dryer, cooking items, comfy beds and linens, all great!

Bellingham Quiet in the Trees

We had a great long weekend stay at the cabin. It was very well appointed with everything we needed to cook and be comfortable. The hot tub was very clean and ready to use. It is in a residential neighborhood about a 15-20 minute drive from town but was very quiet and felt like a true get away. I would book again!

the property was absolutely fabulous! we loved the hot tub, surrounded by trees with gorgeous sunlight filtering in. the place is pet pet friendly and has treats, bowls, and a dog bed, so thoughtful! we will absolutely be coming back :)

R&R in the woods

This cozy, A frame cabin had everything we needed for a getaway for some R&R. The hot tub on the deck was wonderful and offering all the TV streaming options, plenty of towels, cookware and supplying cider, hot cocoa etc was a lovely touch. We’d love to stay again!

Beautiful relaxing getaway

The property is just as is pictured. A beautiful A-frame in the woods with a nice hot tub on the back deck. Really close to town for groceries and close to the lake for a cold plunge. We hiked and hot tubbed and had a wonderful time

PNW Gem

For anyone wanting to experience the Pacific Northwest vibe, this cozy little cabin in a quiet, wooded, hillside community is the place to stay. Feels remote but only a short drive alongside a serene mountain lake to and from all the places to eat and things to do in and around Bellingham. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The hosts are very attentive and accommodating.

Can't go wrong here!!!

A very nice home tucked away in its own oasis!! The home is secluded in spite of being in a neighborhood. It is surrounded by trees- feel like you are in the woods! Ample of space with two full bathrooms, stocked kitchen, great beds and a wonderful hot tub. A good location to visit Mt.Baker/ north Cascade and Bellingham. We had great communication with the owners. These were the hikes that were great: Maple Grove, Oyster Dome, Thunder knob and Church Mountain.
