A home unlike any other you will know. This newly refurbished craftsman features a New York style loft above an open timberframe living space, perfect for hosting friends and family. Ten minute walking distance to downtown, WWU and 9 breweries.
This house is equipped with two full sized bathrooms, three bedrooms with three brand new queen size sleeping mattresses. Ability to sleep two additional guests only upon request. Enjoy your most unique stay!
This is a custom designed home by an artist for artists - there is a story in every nook. It is a home intended to share with creatives and humans who appreciate and respect one another.
Please examine the photos and review the room descriptions including the sleeping arrangements for beds. There is one bathroom and two bedrooms on the main floor and a bathroom and bedroom on the second floor. The piano moved out last summer but the guitars are all for you to play
We look forward to hosting you!
Guests will have access to the entire house, free on street parking, and an opportunity to use the back porch and deck. Plenty of onsite and secure storage for bikes and SUPs.
Other things to note: This isn't a party house - it is a house of peace, love and art. Strict no party policy and your damage deposit reflects that. Thank you for respecting in advance.
The floors have been beautifully refinished and this is a now officially a shoes off house.
No Smoking of any kind. No pets.
Please also respect that this is a small community and my neighbors and I are close. There is a studio on the property in which we occasionally stay and or host a guest in town. This is a stand alone space on the property and not connected to the house.
The place was perfect for me the family. Clean and comfortable. Or host came by a couple of times to make sure all was well. He was very personable and not intrusive at all.
We just had the best week staying at this cozy intimate and unique home. It was by far the coolest vrbo home weâve ever stayed at. Close to downtown close to mountain biking trails and perfectly appointed. We canât wait to come back. We give it a 10/10!!!
We stayed in this artistic house when we visited Western Washington University. Itâs walkable to town and to the school. We really enjoyed the place and would stay there again!
We recently stayed at this beautiful home, and I canât say enough good things about it! The space was not only stunning, but also functional making our stay comfortable. The central location was just what we needed, providing easy access to everything we wanted to do. Nick, the host was fantastic. Weâre already looking forward to our next visit. Definitely a 5 star home.
Stayed near downtown Bellingham which was walking distance to bars and restaurants.
The house had a great vibe and we will look to stay again next time we visit.
What a beautiful place, and details upon details. The careful thought and atttention that has gone into every inch of this place has a calming effect and a great space for a retreat from the grind. Highly recommended!
We loved staying at this house over the weekend for the Bellingham Run the Bay! The house is gorgeous, with many small details that were delightful to discover. About a .75 mi. walk from the downtown area, and a 4 min. drive to grocery stores. This was a quiet place to stay, which suited our group. The kitchen was well sticked with equipment to host a nice dinner for folks before the run as well. Nick was very responsive, and respectful of our stay.
We were 3 adult couples - it was a little tight sharing the small downstairs bath with 4 people. We enjoyed our stay, but want to make a few comments:
1-bent screen in front bdrm, so not able to leave window open for air circulation.
2-listing could have been more clear about person living in the back yard shed/garage.
3-missing screen in kitchen window.
4-listing should state no microwave or instant coffee maker. (we did google how to use the french press)
5-listing should state no a/c. (we didn't get in until late and it was a warm day, so it took a while for it to cool off)
5-listing should mention street parking only (we were able to find a spot every day, but it was pretty full)
6-could use a step stool or ledge to get into upstairs bed.
Cute custom house, beautiful relaxing backyard. Host was very helpful and responsive. Every where we wanted to go was no more than 15 minutes away! Great place to spend time with family and explore Bellingham.
The house couldn't have been better for a weekend stay with friends. Walkable to downtown, clean, funky and with all the Bellingham spunk we look for when in town!
I loved everything about the house. We were visiting our son at western. It was walking distance (about .8 miles away) from campus. We loved all the beautiful artisan details in the house. The rain shower with the skylight was amazing. The neighbors was quiet. I would definitely stay again.
We had several family members who traveled from all over the country for a wedding. The house was well-appointed & beautifully decorated! There isn't a ton of privacy, so staying with people you know well is recommended. ;) Would stay again. I loved the close walk/hike to the arboretum & our fall stay allowed us to pick apples from the backyard! Great walking area & easy to get around B-ham.
This is not your average property, it's an experience! Our stay was a daily treasure hunt, from discovering the owner's craftsmanship utilizing reclaimed materials throughout the entire home to the home decor to the strategically placed surprises to the comfortable deck and back yard. Our family very much enjoyed our stay.
I've lived in Bellingham 26 years, and have been hosting friends and family for all occasions. I treat every guest like a family member and welcome you to reach out for any local tips on how to explore this wonderful community.
This home is in a historic neighborhood in Bellingham, located between the University, adjacent to a 200-acre arboretum, and walking distance to downtown. There is an adorable park at the end of our block. The Whole Foods Market and our Community Food Co-Op are both under 1 mile away. There are EV Fast Chargers all over town, including at the two above mentioned grocery stores.
This home was hand-built by me and is a very unique type of stay. Most guests fall in love as soon as they walk through the door but you'll have to see for yourself!
The home uses 100% renewable energy generated from solar during summer and energy credits during the winter. There is plenty of heat for the house with a natural gas stove and additional electric heating in most rooms. During the hottest days of summer, the house is passively cooled - meaning it cools itself by opening all the windows at night and closing them during the day. There is no AC unit in this house, but we rarely need that in the Pacific Northwest.
