We were there for the Marathon Weekend and we were so grateful the host directed us to a shortcut directly to the finish line from the property. So convenient for my family watching the finish and for me to walk back on tired legs!!

We felt like we must be the first ones to ever use this place, it was so clean! Perfect for our family of 4. Very comfortable and great location to walk into cute little town. Nice to be staying in a quiet area after seeing busy Bar Harbor. Easy drive into Acadia. Loved it!

An extremely comfortable space with plenty of natural light and a very nice outdoor space. My friend and I greatly enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Southwest Harbor (and the Cranberry Island ferry), the quiet location, and we enjoyed sunset on the deck with the propane fire pit. The space was very clean and well equipped, and it was an easy drive to Acadia. We would definitely stay here again!

Another amazing stay! This was our third summer staying at The Barn Loft, and it was as wonderful as ever. Clean, well-stocked, comfortable, and a great location. Dawn makes the entire experience seamless and is a wonderful host. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Barn Loft while exploring Acadia. The space was clean and well stocked. The location was in walking distance to downtown Southwest Harbor, which has plenty of shops and food options, while being way less congested than Bar Harbor. The hosts communicated quickly and provided helpful information about the area. We would definitely stay here again.

The loft was so clean and suited our needs very well. (2 parents, 3 kids aged 14, 11, and 8) We really liked being close enough to town to walk but the property feels private and slightly secluded.

We enjoyed our stay but we would have appreciated knowing the Barn Loft sits above and next to the owner's workshop and brightly painted large trailer and beyond that a trailer park. There were a lot of tools, equipment, workshop items and what seemed to be scrap metal to the side and back of the property. All of this distracted from the beauty of the area and views out the windows. The owner might also want to consider replacing the mattresses. They all seemed to us to be old and thin. The kitchen was well stocked but a dishwasher would have been nice as we enjoy cooking dinner when traveling.

I’m so sorry that you found the view in the back of the property to be a distraction when the view to the side and front of the property of the field, woods and western mountains is so beautiful this time of year. We try to keep a very accurate description of the amenities which clearly states there is no dishwasher, I’m sorry you missed this. The mattresses are all new and we have not had any complaints about them, again I’m sorry to hear of your disappointment.

This is an amazing property. The entrance stair is steep and wide. It wouldn't be good for little kids (no baby gate possible) or anyone with a mobility issues. The deck is amazing. One of my goals for the vacation was star gazing at Acadia, and I just stayed at the house and used the deck. I even saw a shooting star! Everything was clean and I would book it again!
