Nice place near UCF

Very nice place with many upgrades. Great game room upstairs. Under stocked with some essentials like bath towels and dish towels.

The home was beautiful. In a great location. Not on top of anyone else. Owner was incredibly helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again

The Pros: the home was safe, it had nice modern updates, was mostly clean inside, and accommodated our family. The homeowner was attentive to my needs and concerns.The Cons: the photos on the vrbo website of the exterior did not match the current state of the house. The house has faded in color, The roof is discolored, there is an abundance of trash and overgrowth throughout the yard, there was even hazardous items left throughout the yard, like tools and glass. The inside of the home was mostly clean, but the bedsheets and bed had stains, and there was no hand towels or dish soap. The homeowner had to procure these items for us upon our arrival. The homeowner added new rules prior to my arrival, including no shoes to be worn inside and requesting approval for guests. He did ultimately approve my guests, but required they remove shoes which was not possible for some of my family. To try and reduce any concerns about scuffing his floors, we ate dinner outside. Unfortunately, because it’s the rainy season it only met. We tracked in more dirt and grass into the house. Adding rules caused more concern and confusion overall and compounded frustration given the other issues with the house.I let the homeowner know in detail these issues so that he can correct them for future guests. However I would like to hear directly from vrbo on these matters.

Property was great. Communication was awful!

The house was wonderful— clean, spacious. Exactly what we needed for our entire family. The problem was communication and I don’t know whether it was the owner or Vrbo. All info was late getting to us. Check out info came from the owner the afternoon before checkout but I didn’t see it until the morning of checkout. I tried frantically to reply —- email, used the security code sent to me, program wouldn’t accept it. Try my password. Program wouldn’t accept it! Went through process several times and was unable to make contact. In the past when we used vacation properties, we had all of the info well in advance of arrival —- checking procedures, checkout procedures, address of property. AND if there were questions, we had phone numbers, emails, etc. because of these communication problems, I will not use your company again. And as a side bar, what is it with all of the commodes lined up on the outside of the property!!!!

Never trust reviews

We give it a 1 out of 10 and will never rent this place again. It was just not worth it, with a misleading description and “excellent” reviews that were likely fake. Roaches in the kitchen, bugs in the bed (and before the haters react, we are all from Florida and are used to bugs…just not in a fancy, expensive place like this!); toilets that wouldn’t flush, requiring three of us to waste a day in the house waiting for an emergency plumber; all major appliances with dents, some weirdly expensive but with no instructions; an ice maker that was frozen solid, blocked by a big chunk of ice; an overflowing septic tank that, according to said plumber, was ready to flood the yard …just a few of the flaws. BTW; the VRBO ad says five bedrooms and four bathrooms, but three of the latter are on the first floor (including one in the laundry room!), leaving only one for the occupants of the three bedrooms upstairs…and that one bathroom’s toilet didn’t work…so those unlucky enough to be staying on the second floor had to navigate stairs in the middle of the night just to go (and everyone in our party was a senior citizen…just saying!). Caveat emptor. PS: the owner, seemingly a nice guy, was on the West Coast, and he ended up giving us a refund—some of us thought we shouldn’t have paid a dime after our experience, but that’s another story—and we’re betting that he’d never seen the place…our theory was that this was an investment for him, that he was just in it for the money, and that whoeve

Orlando Modern Retreat

Owner is very responsive and easy to work with. Home is as described - very clean, comfortable surroundings & fantastic kitchen. The modern upgrades to the home add an ease of use and are professionally done. All beds are new and super comfortable with high-end linens. Mega TV in the family room and all the viewing options along with total house surround sound. Definite keeper for the future baseball tournaments at Boombah - 22 min away.
