We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful house! The location is amazing and the house is spacious with everything you need. Heather is very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, listening to the waves and watching the ocean. It is right next to the Grand Hyatt and walking distance to several local restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!
A week of beautiful sunrises, sunny days, fantastic food and day trips around the island. The house is well situated, a bit tired(eg. kitchen cabinets chipped, peeling paint on some window sills), smoke detector chirping in middle of night that taking out the battery was not going to quiet the beastâŠ
It was a great property and the manager, Heather, was super helpful. The A/C worked great.
I'd suggest a floor lamp for the living room since I woke up in the middle to the night and wanted to read away from the bedroom. But no floor lamps so the ceiling lights were needed, which often don't provide enough light.
Great stay and awesome property manager but VRBO messed up our reservation.
This property is beautiful and thanks to the amazing property manager Heather we were able to stay there. VRBO messed up our reservation and did not communicate with the property manager that we would be staying there. Upon arrival we found that someone was there ⊠Luckily, it was the owner and they cleaned the house quickly so we could get in. Heather was more than accommodating and absolutely mortified that this happened. Would love to stay at this house again, but will not use Vrbo ever again.
Great location, lots of space, but not well maintained home
We stayed at this same place 6 years ago and loved it. 6 years later and a different property manager, and it wasnât great. House was not maintained or cleaned well; small hairs in the bathroom sink and sticky surfaces, and windows were streaky; with a wonderful view that should be a priority. Right before we arrived we were notified that AC would cost an additional $600 for 6 nights. We opted in once we arrived to a very stuffy house. They would not unlock it until we paid it all upfront. Unfortunately only half the house would cool and after 3 days of trying to get it to work they finally agreed to refund half. Also the AC repairman showed up unannounced through an unlocked side door - which we didnât know about. With 2 little ones in the house that was very unsettling. We then had a trail of ants; we asked them not to use insecticide but they did anyway. I think there was a lack of communication with the property manager who was away for vacation and the onsite person who was handling the property. All in all a sub optimal experience. Weâve stayed at many other rental homes and this was very disappointing.
We stayed at this gorgeous home in Poipu for a week for a family vacation. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us (would be plenty of room for 4 couples); each bedroom was comfortably sized with a big closet and full bath. The kitchen/living room area was spacious and accommodating as well, and it was convenient to have a nice big laundry room with washer/dryer. Most of our time was spent on the patio -- also roomy and accommodating -- which looked out on the green space from which you could see the ocean. Shipwrecks Beach is just a short walk away; very convenient and easily accessible. Heather, our point-of-contact, was very responsive, informative about local hotspots--and patient!
My only complaint would be that air conditioning was an added cost; I wish it would have been priced in at the beginning. Our visit was in August, and although I know the islands are famous for their tradewinds, it was hot and muggy this time of year, and air conditioning was a necessity. (And I'm someone who loves warm, balmy weather.)
Other than that, it was a beautiful home in a great location, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. :)
The property was even better than represented on VRBO. It was impeccably clean, and everything was in working order.
The location, the open area with ocean view from the back patio, the open floorplan and condition of the property exceeded our expectations. We loved the location. Our grandkids raved at how close it was to Little Fish Coffee House, the beach, turtle viewing and restaurants.
Just about every day, we would walk down to the beach, past the beautiful Grand Hyatt flowers and do cliff hikes over to the Poipu Bay Golf Course, then we would come back and hit the beach. We got up early 3 times to see the turtles leave their beach resting places for a day of swimming. So memorable.
Heather was the perfect host. We had a couple minor issues during our stay and we were able reach Heather right away and she took care of things immediately.
As you can tell, we had a wonderful time and appreciated being able to stay in such a beautiful place.
This house was beautiful. Very close proximity to the beach. Kitchen, living room, bedrooms, outside patio.. spot on perfect.. bbq grill worked great for the fish we caught. Spotted whales, and turtles.. loved this place thank you very much.. the Monroe family.
We had a wonderful time at this property. It was an excellent location with views of the ocean, easy walking trails and beautiful grounds. The inside of the house was large and beautiful. Each room had its own bathroom which made it convenient for all.
All in all we had a great time and will certainly return in the future.
We stayed at Hale Mana Kai Poipu during spring break and the onset of Covid-19 in 2020...what an interesting week it turned out to be. We arrived in Kauai with clear and simple instructions from DLissa on how to access the home. Everything was beautiful, clean, and better than expected. Sitting on the lanai with open views of the greenbelt and ocean are magical...you can hang in the sun or shade listening to the ocean and watch the local birds. During our time at Hale Mana Kai Poipu, we had some challenges due to weather and Covid-19 restrictions. We reached out to DLissa and got immediate response with helpful suggestions that made our week memorable. Looking forward to returning to Hale Mana Kai Poipu.
My family (4 adults, 2 kids ages 5 & 8) had a wonderful week in this beautiful home. The layout and generous size could have easily accommodated another couple, but it was nice to have room to spare. The home includes many items youâll need for your stay: toiletries, beach towels, etc. The view of manicured lawn and ocean in the distance was the perfect setting from sunrises with coffee to sunsets with wine. It is only a 5 minute walk to the Hyatt if a guest needs to attend a conference during your stay, as did one of our guests.
DâLissa was very quick and courteous in her responses and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!
A few notes:
- Air conditioning costs an extra $ per week. I missed that detail during the booking process. My fault, but thought I might mention it. We stayed in February and the home averaged 80-degrees indoors even with opening windows at night to cool things down.
- There are no beach chairs/gear available.
- No Blu-ray/DVD player.
- There are approximately 6-7 sets of stairs with about 3-4 steps each. One of our guests was healing from knee surgery and had a hard time maneuvering all week. Just be aware that there are many levels to this home.
Even with a few items âmissingâ from our stay, we were pleased and comfortable with the accommodations. Poipu is simply the most wonderful place in Hawaii.
Beautiful home with a perfect location! Enjoy the amenities at The Grand Hyatt, see the ocean from the master, family room, kitchen and dining area. DâLissa the property manager was awesome! To make this a real review, some of the beds are ready for replacement.
This property is perfect for a family stay in Kauai. A beautiful view of the Pacific, short walk to beaches and sea turtles, shopping close by and all the amenities complete this fully furnished modern home. The agent, DâLissa, was a joy to work with. We didnât want to leave!

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in Poipu! A total of 8 stayed for a family vacation for 4 days. The location is great with an easy walk to shipwreck beach and the trail to the cliffs. Poipu beach is a bit further (~.75 mile), though easily done via a walking path. DâLissa was wonderful and even came out later in the evening due to our blunder with air mattresses. Her husband also makes a good pizza at their restaurant (even if it is New York style) ;) sorry Chicago pizza humor. Thank you to the owner for sharing this gem! Hope to return!
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. DâLissa is a very responsive property manager willing to tackle any problem that may arise. The house is simply stunning.
We absolutely loved this property and the outdoor entertainment seating for the mornings and nights. We had 4 couples and we all had plenty of personal space. Fully stocked kitchen and large dining table for dinners and game night. Quick walk to the Hyatt for lunch and you need to try the grilled pineapple burger. D Lissa was very responsive with any requests we had, during our stay. Just a few suggestions would be to keep an extra back-up propane tank filled on the property and also maybe some beach chairs and snorkels. We also feel investing in the A/C for the month of June would make sleeping at night even more enjoyable. Even with the windows opened and a breeze it was pretty hot at night without A/C. Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality and D Lissa was great! You are lucky to have her for your property manager.
