We enjoyed our time there, but the bedrooms needed more lights in the room. The showers didn't come on well.
Need stairs down to the river.
Great rooms and furniture. Beds were great.
The condo was more than we expected. It was very clean and plenty of room for us to enjoy our family time together. We did have some issues with the heat, however the staff went out of the their way to make it comfortable for us. The view from the condo was unbelievable, was well worth the money. If we are ever back in the area, we will look at renting from them again
My friend and I took a break away from life to enjoy some solitude and fun in Estes. The place fit our needs well. The staff was super friendly and helpful, five stars for them! The condo itself was large and had plenty of amenities. The beds were comfortable and very well kept, which was important to me. :-) The only thing that we didn't think was 'awesome' was that the buildings are very old, and the upkeep on some of the older features was not great... most of that was not a big deal, but in our condo it posed a problem in that our screen doors and the locks on our sliding doors were either difficult to use, or didn't work at all. Otherwise we were satisfied.
We came for a wedding and rented this unit close by. It was great except for neighbors smoking on their porch! The unit is right next to the river and you can fish in this river also. It is also less than two miles from the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. The pool is nice to have-my son enjoyed it very much. It can get warm in the summer as the unit does not have air conditioning but it usually cools down in the evening. The kitchen was not very well stocked for cooking as it was lacking in utensils and such. Also, the unit was very dated and things like screen doors did not work.Sometimes the parking lot was extremely full and we would get the very last spot often!
The overall appearance of the Fawn Valley Inn from outside is somewhat dated. However, the check-in area was a very nicely appointed room. Likewise, I thought our 2 bedroom place was very nice compared to other family member places elsewhere on the mountain. The king bed was very comfortable. The 4 of us had plenty of room. The place was clean, some areas a little dated, others newer in appearance. Bath towels were excellent. Support staff very nice. TV reception and Wi-fi excellent. No TV in master king room. Verizon cell service poor, but this is true pretty much everywhere on the mountain. Most text messages went through. Nice big dining room table. Couches could have been more comfortable. Need to walk up flight of steps to access unit from parking lot level, but only a short distance. Nice view of the creek from the balcony. Overall, Lynette was very helpful and I would not hesitate to stay in this place should I return to Estes Park!
Wonderful location less than a mile from the RMNP! We loved this property! Plenty of room and an amazing view! Fawn Valley Inn was quiet, but still close to EP for essentials. We were able to see elk bugling from our back deck. AMAZING.! The only caution I would have is there is a fairly good flight of stairs to climb to get to the property entrance, so muscling the bags up after a long travel day can be a wee bit of a challenge. But other than that, perfectly perfect!
Overall a nice place to stay with a good layout
Pros - Beautiful area, easy to get to, Easy access to National park and Estes. 2 bedroom 3 bath layout was nice
Cons - Fridge door was missing 2 shelves, 2 showers had poor pressure, Hide a bed sofa was broken and cushions fell thru couch. Sliding glass door was missing a screen
This is a great location for those wanting to get away from Estes a bit but still be close enough. The property is huge and the views are great from any room/suite.
How can you miss by being in Estes Park? Condo was a bit run down and showing itâs age. Need to lose the carpet all together. The deck area was pretty shoddy. We were on middle of three floors and even just people walking above us made annoying sounds. Kitchen could have been better equipped.
The stay was great but paying the price we did the property fell a little short, first both of the porch sliding doors and screen doors need some serious work which lead to multiple flies and other bugs inside of the rooms, second some of the wall outlets didn't work. Also we didn't know the second bedroom faced the parking lot which was noisy along with the early morning garbage pickup.
Our family enjoyed our stay at Fawn Valley, and for the most part the property was as advertised. The location, only a mile from the park entrance, couldn't be beat, and the soothing sounds of the river just outside our window added to the mountain experience.
The unit was spacious and very clean. The kitchen contained all the necessities (although our Mr. Coffee maker failed to perform!). The free wi-fi was excellent, as was the television reception.
Our only negative thoughts about our unit concerned the furniture in the living room, which we unanimously determined was woefully out of date, badly worn, and totally uncomfortable. (The photographs of this furniture on your site must have been taken many, many seasons ago since they do not represent the current conditions we found!). The beds, on the other hand, were judged to be quite comfortable!
The only other suggestion we would have would be to add some additional lighting to the bedrooms, which we found to be somewhat lacking - either floor lamps or an additional table lamp in each room would greatly improve things.
Finally, Fawn Valley's personnel all deserve an A+ for their willingness to provide their guests with help at all hours of the day, along with providing suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc.
Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at this property again. Met our expectations and needs perfectly. Liked the easy access to RMNP and the access to fishing on Fall River. Cozy place for family meals and relaxing inside during the afternoon rains.
We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk was very nice and personable. Our condo was charming, clean and had such a beautiful view. We were amazed at the elk and wild turkeys. Loved having a glass of wine on our balcony and enjoying the beautiful river sounds. Our family will definitely be back.

Beautiful!
Perfect for visiting RMNP, river provides beautiful background noise for sleeping, house is comfortable and I love the lodge furniture! Deck is wonderful for relaxing after a long day of hiking. Professional, courteous staff and the owner is fantastic! I absolutely loved this unit and would be thrilled to stay again.
We enjoyed our stay here. Spacious - we put a pack & play in the 3rd powder room bath located in the hallway, and our toddler in 2nd bedroom.
Appreciated that there was a door shutting off the living room from the hallway to the powder room and 2 bedrooms, which made it easy for us to put the kids to sleep and stay up in the living room/kitchen area. My husband and I slept in the master with the door ajar to listen to the river all evening. We enjoyed the heated pool as well. I misread the listing - the washer/dryer is on the property but not in the unit itself. Its very close to town, and both entrances to the park.
Just loved it! Great communication with host prior to arrival. The front desk answered all questions and made sure to assist us when needed. 8 people slept very comfortably. Would definitely stay here again.
I came for a few days away with my family of 4 and my parents. The unit was large and well appointed, the 3 full baths were wonderful! The WiFi is free, but service is not the greatest, but if you came to Estes Park to spend time on your phone well then you shouldnât come to Estes Park! Very close to RMNP, literally a 2 minute drive which is great! River in the back made for an amazing night of peaceful rest. Beds were comfortable, plenty of tv stations available for down time. I would suggest that you take care of the sliding glass doors in both rooms though. This was also mentioned in past reviews but has not been taken care of. If someone has curious little ones it could be a serious issue because they do not lock properly..... Could use a bit of updating, but that wouldnât stop me from coming back here. Overall a pleasant experience
We had a wonderful stay. The unit was very clean and we loved the view, the inn overlooks the river and has a nice path that walks along side of it. Convenient location to town and RMNP!
Excellent unit with great views. Was able to see deer and elk on the hillside while laying in bed! AWESOME!! Had an issue with fireplace not starting and was promptly repaired. Would definitely come back.
