Cape Cod sur le fleuve Colorado- Waterfront House à Moovalya Keys

La maison est située dans une communauté fermée sur des canaux qui mènent au fleuve Colorado. Il est bien situé juste à côté du canal principal, ce qui permet un accès facile à la rivière. Les canaux sont à 5 mph ce qui permet un amarrage sûr de vos bateaux et motomarines. Il permet également de nager en toute sécurité ou de flotter sur des radeaux. La maison a son propre quai privé de 50 pieds juste en face de la maison. Il y a 2 niveaux de terrasse. Le patio principal est au niveau de l'eau. Le deuxième patio est hors du deuxième étage. La vue depuis le deuxième étage est vers les montagnes et la grande zone d'eau du canal principal où il bifurque. La maison est orientée à l'est, ce qui lui donne l'avantage de l'ombre de l'après-midi pendant la partie la plus chaude de la journée, mais les adorateurs du soleil peuvent toujours obtenir le soleil sur le patio supérieur. Cette maison est située juste en face du canal de mon autre maison (La Pointe), ce qui en fait un endroit idéal pour les grands groupes.

Great location and home

It was a perfect spot for our family. I celebrated my son‘s 18th birthday and it was 120° out there so it made it very nice to have the water right outside and back to cool off and a nice air-conditioned home. It had everything we needed and owner Kathy was wonderful on communication.

Perfect set up for a stay at the river. The family loved being able to float right off the deck. We all slept great every night. Beds were comfy! Super spacious and seating for all 10 of us! We will definitely rent again!

LOVE the Keys!

We absolutely love staying in the Keys and this house was perfect for our group! The dock fit all of our toys, the overall space inside the house was great for all the kids and adults. Kathy was amazing to communicate with and always quick to reply to any email and questions.

Glorious weekend at the river

Stayed here with friends for wife's birthday. We all had a great time. Sitting out on the patio, mere steps from the clear, clean canal was great. If we had a boat it would have been spectaular, but we only had unicorn floaties, so it was still great. Kitchen had what you needed, we BBQ'd every night.

River 2022

We rented this house 16 years ago and It's still almost exactly the same. Great home for our needs this year. Kathy is easy to work with and check in and check out are a breeze! If you know the Keys you know its a pretty cool place. We've been vacationing there since we were kids and I'm 47 now.

There have actually been a lot of changes in 16 years and I try to do improvements every year. The house isn't even the same color anymore since I replaced all of the siding and painted it grey instead of blue. It has a new roof that is white instead of black. All of the downstairs has slate floors instead of carpet and tile. The kitchen has all stainless appliances. This year I remodeled the downstairs bathroom and had the patio and dock repainted. These are just the major changes.

Great place, perfect location!

This has been the best upkept home we have rented in the past 6 years. Dock was in good condition, steps into the canal. Perfect for tying up tubes and kayaks! House had a great layout for 10 people. Location is just 2 canals in the the river, but at the end of a canal, so easy out and in. Grass in the canals was long this year, but not terrible. House had plenty of required items to cook there and not have to go out. We had a great time!

Holiday Weekend in the Keys

House was great and had everything we needed! A couple items that could’ve used a refresh, but nothing that impacted our stay. Location was perfect as it was inside the keys, but right off the entrance so easy in and out, especially with a 30ft pontoon boat. Had a ton of fun in the water and the 50 foot dock with all the outdoor seating and hangout space was perfect. We had a mix of couples and single friends and felt like the bedroom setup was perfect. The home is at the end of a cul-de-sac with pretty limited parking so I’d encourage groups to carpool or arrange parking elsewhere beforehand. Kathy was wonderful and so accommodating! Thank you for letting us stay in your home-it was the perfect place for a Memorial Day Weekend on the river!

Good Times....

I recently stayed at this house with 10 people and had a great time. The house was very clean when we arrived and the kitchen had everything we needed. Parking was no problem. There is parking for your trailer near the house. Neighbors were very friendly. There is plenty of dock space for your boat. Outside there is a bbq and patio furniture and the area was clean. We hope to come back next year for more fun. Thanks again

Nice loction - Disapointing house

Great location for all the outdoor activities. Nearby Emerald Canyon Golf Course was exceptional. Do not miss Bobby D's Diner. Lots of space for large groups or families. The owner was very nice. However, if you expect pristine updated interior, this may not be the place for you. The interior of the house, the indoor and outdoor furnishings are pretty tired and/or in need of repairs or replacements. Although we really enjoyed the location and our time there, the house condition and furnishings were a disappointment and we probably won't be back.

Thank you so much for spending part of your winter here at Park Place. I have been renting this home since 1995. My home is centrally located to many things and I am glad you took advantage of those things. While I always appreciate critiques I was more than little surprised at your comments as you never mentioned nor contacted me about any issues or what you felt was the condition of the home through out your 30 days at the house. The pictures are updated yearly and the house is regularly maintained. I rent this house based on the homes fit and features. Other homes, especially of this size, rent for a lot more than what I rent my home out for. I rent this home for significantly less in the winter than what it is rented for in peak periods. I would be hard pressed to find a hotel for a nightly rate even close to what you were charged. I would appreciate it if you could reach out to me off line so that I may discuss your concerns. Even though you may not come back to my home I hope you enjoy all that Parker has to offer next winter season.

What more could you ask for?

I wish I could convey my satisfaction with the house and my renting experience. I was able to get a group together and we needed the right place. I am confident saying that we found it. The house was spacious and we really enjoyed the lay-out. It is right on the keys which allowed for easy access with our boat. Parking was a breeze and with the additional cars, we actually had people park at BlueWater Casino and we would pick them up and bring them back on the boat. I also have to mention that we brought way too much stuff ourselves because this place has everything. A blender, pots, pans, cutlery, BBQ tools, the works. WHEN we rent this place again, I will focus more on the food and less on the stuff we brought to prepare our meals since it was all at the house. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay and we will be back again soon.

I was born and raised in San Diego. We would go to the river near Yuma at Lake Martinez/ Fisher's Landing. We decided in 1990 that we wanted a house at the river but at that time you could only lease in that area. So we got in the car and started driving and trying to find a river house we could own. We found Moovalya Keys and fell in love. We put in an offer on a house that day. We spent all our free time there and our kids who were 2 and 4 grew up river rats. We proceeded to buy 2 more houses in Moovalya Keys but this is the house we spent all of our time in. We would come here year round. We had a lot of great times here.
Although my kids are now grown and we don't make it out to the river as a family anymore. I still come out once a month to check on the houses (I also own The Pointe #347966 which is right across the canal) and do maintenance and repairs. I have been a board member for the HOA since 2016 so I'm up to date on what is happening in the area.
I have been managing my houses since not long after we started renting them. Although we have tried using the real estate companies I preferred to handle the property management myself so I would know what kind of people were renting my houses. I have had some really great people rent my houses over the years and the majority of the people that rent from me have rented before and many come every year.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We loved how this house was different from all the other houses out there. When we bought it it was just a shell and had never been finished due to the owner dying. The house had sat abandoned for many years and most people figured we would tear it down and start over, but we loved the open floor plan that was so different from most of the houses out there. We also liked the location just off the main canal which made it much easier and quicker to get out to the river.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The house has 5 bedrooms so everyone can have their own bedroom instead of having to share. There's a huge living room and a large kitchen and the kitchen is open into the living room. The open floor plan is really nice. There are no hallways at all. There's an upstairs patio that's great for looking at the stars. The patio areas have a great view of the mountains. Since the house is just off the main canal you're not boxed in and can be out on the river in in less than 5 minutes
