House is great—Property Management Company not so much
Check in was a nightmare… e-lock code didn’t work. 30 minutes on hold before I got someone at Vacasa to provide me with another code that didn’t work. Finally got in with an emergency code. Code issue wasn’t fixed for 24 hours and not without a lot of back and forth with Vacasa. National and local Vacasa teams communicate very poorly with each other leaving the renter in the middle, confused.
Other issues that were solved quickly—water was shut off to the washing machine so I thought it was broken. Also, ants were a big problem in the kitchen despite our best efforts. Ant traps helped but did not resolve the problem—an exterminator will need to come and seal off areas (visible) that they are getting in.
Once I got the phone number of the local subcontractor (not Vacasa) responsible for fixing the issues, things were taken care of quickly. They (again, not Vacasa) were great!
The beds were cheap and uncomfortable. An upgrade would make a huge difference in our nights sleep. Additionally, having extra blankets would be nice—we had to go out and buy our own. Also, listing says it’s a drip coffee maker but it’s a Keurig so bring your pods from home if you have them.
NOW TO THE GOOD PARTS—absolutely amazing location/pond. House looks just like it does in the pictures—very charming and tastefully decorated. Great swimming, but bring swim shoes because the pond bottom is rocky. Great appliances and powerful central air.
