Beautifully preserved beach cottage, well appointed and a quiet, classic New England coastal view. No need to stress over the dreaded âCape trafficâ- a hidden gem!
My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful place surrounded by nature! The view is amazing at all times! Everywhere you look! The sound of nature and the animals together with the view was perfect! Thank you so much Matt and Karen!
Small but super comfortable. The back deck and back yard views are so relaxing. Spent every evening just sitting and watching the wildlife . We will definitely be back .
What an amazing little place this was! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hidden gem. Right on the water, we enjoyed early morning coffee watching the fish jump and the birds float along the water. We slept up in the loft and the view out the window at sunrise was just breathtaking. We will definitely be booking here again! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!
Our family had a wonderful time staying in this cute little cottage. The views were beautiful and the cottage was adorable. It was so quiet and peaceful.
Super clean, adorable cottage on the water. Very quiet neighborhood, such a relaxing stay. Everything you need for comfort is available. Conveniently located to great biking trails, kayaking nearby, ice cream and tavern around the corner. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is a perfect choice.
Camp Comfort was a little slice of heaven. Great location for all things Cape Cod. Matt and Karen were super quick at responding to our numerous questions. We will DEFINITELY be back!
The property was amazing better than we could have hoped for. The kids had a blast fishing and catching hundreds of crabs. Short walk to the beach nice and private. Quiet community very relaxing and peaceful!
The cottage was very clean and has everything you need. It is in a quiet and peaceful area with amazing views over looking the water that you get to enjoy from the dock, large deck, or from inside through the giant glass slider doors. We are so happy we came across this property. It was the perfect little getaway for our family of four.
We loved our stay in this cozy, rustic cottage. My husband enjoys fishing at the canal and my son and nephews enjoyed crabbing and playing on the private beach. The view from the sliding doors cannot be beat. It felt secluded, relaxing, and peaceful but everything you need is a short drive away. We wish we could have stayed longer, but back to reality for us. Showering outside was a little strange at first but added to the fun of the whole weekend. We hope to be back soon.
My family enjoyed the most relaxing stay here, and we absolutely loved the location. The kids had so much fun âcrab huntingâ! The scenery is amazing, I couldnât see it clear because it was across the river but I believe there was an eagle perched on the dock across from us.
Ten out of ten would stay here again!
Overall really nice rustic place but very dusty. First night my sons allergies reacted and for the rest of the week he was not well. Besides that really nice view and good location.
This is a well thought out description of the property, making it look so much better than it is. It's far from a cozy cottage, more like a tired boat shed. It doesn't have a bathroom, an inside dark cloakroom and outside shower the only way to wash. The true description should be a glamping hut, in fact it would be better to camp outside. The mattress on the floor in the eves is not suitable accomodation at this price, and the "bunk beds" are only suitable for small children. I complained to VRBO who refunded my fee, but the host was not helpful and refused any compensation.
My husband and our two kids (5 and 7) stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect for what we wanted! The owners and pictures say it all, but itâs worth noting that this is a really rustic place. If you love just having a cozy (and cleanâso clean!) place with the bare minimum to relax in, this is it. We loved having to shower outside and grill, but that may not be for everyone! My husband is 6â2â so had to sleep in the loft, and even at 5â5â, the bunk beds were a little short for me. I still slept fine but itâs good to keep in mind. Even though the house is set in a neighborhood, itâs shocking how quiet and isolated it felt. The loudest thing we heard all weekend was the family of ospreys living nearby which were amazing to watch. The tide comes right up to the house, and there are endless hours of crab watching/hunting. We spent days at Onset Beach, afternoons at the local beach, and had ice cream at Kool Kone (our kids brought their bikes and we rode to get ice cream). It was a worry-free weekend weâll cherish for a long time!
We had a wonderful stay in Wareham. We had plans to go to the beach on the first day before checking in, however the weather was not great, so I reached out to Marc. He was quick to respond and was gracious enough to let us in a few hours early. Marc texted me all of the information needed and was available for questions. The house had everything we could need, however we didn't realize there was only an outdoor shower available to use. This worked well for us since we were only staying a few days, but is important to note for anyone considering a stay at the house. The futon in the living room was a bit uncomfortable but worked for a few nights. It was nice to have a separate room to have our children sleep in while the adults could hang out in the living room or on the deck. We had a great time hanging out on the deck during the day and at night (fireworks on the water both nights we were there!) and the beach was conveniently only a 2 minute walk from the house. Fire pit would have been nice to have in front of the deck or even on the deck but we were able to enjoy it one of the nights (not a negative, just a suggestion!!). We were hoping to walk down to the bay area in front of the house during low tide, but the property line does end at the stone wall. Again, not a negative, but important for anyone to know who is considering a stay. We also loved that there was a TV available for streaming for the kids and adults :) Thank you for a great stay!
