Need a quiet get-away? You've got the it!!! Relax on the front porch and drink in the gorgeous mountain view and lovely night music. This is a quiet place in the mountains to relax!! Instead of town noise, you'll hear all the night sounds & watch the colors of the sky change as the sun sets or the fog sets in. You will love the fabulous night air, the night sounds, and the stars while relaxing in the hot tub!!

This home has a living room, furnished kitchen,(no dishwasher) full bathroom, & bedroom with a queen bed on the main floor; 2 floor mattresses in the loft; basement has a full bed and bathroom. There is DVD player, Roku Smart screen, WiFi, horse shoe & corn hole, as well as card games. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby. This cabin is 15 min from the AT at mile marker 809.1

Please note that this home is in the mountains & it does have a gravel road that curves up to the top. If there is ice on the road during the winter, you will need a heavy 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up to the house. Please consider purchasing Travel Insurance during winter months. This location is in a subdivision, but the gravel road is not state maintained. We are in the mountains so you will encounter some bugs.

There is a gas grill and a fire ring. Fire wood is available. Supplies for the grill and fire ring are in the shed or the deck box.

Mountain Top Experience!

Great cabin! Very comfortable, everything was perfect, clean and cozy! Would definitely recommend this property. Visited Natural Bridge and VA Safari Park and both were amazing!

Mountain getaway

Dee's Cozy Haven was everything we were looking for. Secluded and just about to the top of the mountain gave us the quiet mountain escape we needed. Will be our first choice next time we are heading to the area.

Peaceful Mountain Retreat with Stunning Views

Our stay at this cozy mountain home near Amherst, VA, was truly memorable. The panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains were breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for our getaway. We relished grilling meals on the deck and unwinding in the hot tub under the starry sky. The house exuded warmth and comfort, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. A delightful surprise was the frequent sightings of deer grazing nearby, adding to the charm of our stay. This home offers a perfect blend of nature and comfort—we can’t wait to return!

Great mountain retreat!

Our stay at this mountain retreat was absolutely perfect! The house was cozy, well-equipped, and had stunning views that made every morning feel like a dream. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck, relaxing by the fireplace, hot tub, or exploring the nearby trails, we felt completely at peace. The hosts were thoughtful and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Awesome cabin

Dee’s cabin is wonderful, very clean and very well maintained and equipped. This was a short visit but we will definitely stay here again. Beautiful Mountain View’s and very relaxing atmosphere, hot tub was icing on the cake. Thanks to our wonderful host.

Just Perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You have to drive a ways to get anywhere but we new that ahead of time and planned our outings accordingly. The house had everything we needed for our group of four and the hot tub was a perfect way to wind down in the evening. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cabin in the woods retreat. It offered every amenity and was so very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. The Mountain views were spectacular. We enjoyed visiting neighboring towns, although not very close. Would definitely highly recommend this place and will be back in the future.

Cabin Hideaway

This cabin was just what we needed for an anniversary getaway. The cabin is beautiful! Dee was a perfect host and the cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. Perfect cabin for a getaway

We celebrated our 10th anniversary here. We loved spending time in the hot tub and eating breakfast on the porch. Delores was responsive and engaged. The property is remote and extremely peaceful. We would definitely stay again!

Girls Trip 2024

This was the perfect cabin for us. We loved waking up to the fog rising over the mountain. Dee made sure the cabin was stocked (even left a bowl of candy!) and had the lights on which was so nice when arriving at night and in the rain. We would love to book another stay!

Wonderful getaway before baby!

Our family of 5 had an amazing stay! The cabin was so clean and cozy and had everything we needed! All the little touches make such a difference! Comfy beds, coffee station, even a bowl of candy… we played cornhole, made s’mores, went to the natural bridge and took the kids to SeaQuest! The cabin was easy to find and loved the personalized message when we walked in! We would love to stay here again

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

Dee’s cozy cabin was a great place to spend our mini-vacation! The home was very clean and could comfortably fit a larger group, something we’ll keep in mind for the future. Despite the extreme cold, the inside stayed nice and warm. Dee was very communicative about the weather conditions leading up to our weekend, and was available to answer any questions we had in a very timely manner. Great place to stay and a great host!

Dee's Cozy Haven

We've stayed in many cabins the past several years and this was by far the best one. The cabin was secluded and quiet. The cabin was well stocked with the things we needed and it was very clean! Dee was very helpful with questions we had and very quick to respond back to us. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone that wanted a quiet get away.

Peaceful Setting

Excellent lodge for a couple- possibly 2 couples or small family. It’s clean, relaxing in a peaceful setting with a beautiful view. The jacuzzi outside was a great highlight. We relaxed on the porch for meals and quiet time. It’s close to several nice hikes. Restaurants were 30 - 40 minutes away. We ended up eating in Lynchburg for better choices, but also brought our own and used the kitchen. Sweet touches- coffee and chocolate candy provided!

Perfect cabin getaway!

We absolutely loved this mountain retreat! It was the cleanest, most well stocked VRBO that I ever stayed in! We will definitely be back again! We had a lot of destinations to visit on this trip; if I ever go back it will be to just relax at the cabin. The only negative that I can even give is that it was a tad bit far from a foodlion than we expected but there was the cutest small town grocery store close to the cabin that has essentials and they sell some local ground beef and burgers that we grilled at the cabin and we just had to stop by again to get more for home! Thank you Dee for sharing your beautiful home with us!

I have always lived in VA and love spending time in the mountains! I enjoy adventure and traveling! I don't get to meet my guests but I love to have a clean relaxing place available for other travelers that are needing vacations or just traveling through.

I chose this location because the mountains create such a relaxing and calming environment. Its a good place to recharge and get ready to face real life again. There is so much beauty in the mountains!!

Lots of guests come here for the quiet setting - totally away from town. The hot tub adds an awesome way to relax while enjoying the fresh mountain air!
