Step back in time at this beautiful log cabin in the country. This special place is furnished with antiques and old woodwork from a previous cabin on the site, yet has all of the amenities of modern day home. Curl up and enjoy an evening of reading, selecting from the nice collection of books, play any of the many board games provided, or just relax in the jacuzzi tub or by the wood burning fireplace. Barbecue on the large back porch with either the gas grill or charcoal grill. Kids will enjoy the Xbox 360 in the loft and outdoor games provided. At the end of the day you can watch the sunset from the front porch swing.
The cabin was wonderful. We loved every minute we spent playing games on the large dining room table, sitting on the picnic table on the porch watching a momma bird feeding her baby's in the little bird house. watching deer in the field and crossing behind the cabin. Living in nature setting was so peaceful. Thanks for making our stay so fun.
Very quaint and hospitable home/property. Great location, close to grocery stores/ restaurants/ VMI/ WL, but not so close as to be affected by crowds/noise. Kitchen and linens well stocked, beds very comfortable and clean, bathrooms well supplied and very clean, grounds well maintained and ready for easy entertainment. Beautiful location with roads close by that provide safe walking on for pedestrians. I look forward to staying here again soon.
One of the few properties where have stayed at that we would definitely return to. Kids spent most of the time outside and perfect yard for football and volleyball. Coffee pot was missing and that would be our only complaint. The porches were awesome! Fire pit was perfect for sâmores! We will return!
This being our first vacation with our out-of-state son and his family, LaKishaâs cabin made for an excellent vacation. The children ages 9-3 yrs had plenty of room to run on beautifully manicured lawns. We had a plethora of fireflies at dusk, which was a delight.
She also supplies firewood for the fire pit which we all enjoyed making Sâmoreâs and the hubby and our son stayed up late having fireside chats.
The cabin is beautiful inside and out, very clean with comfortable beds. I loved the sheets in my room downstairs.
And the icing on the cake is the location being so close to the Natural Bridge State Park, a lake, and other activities.
We celebrated my husbandâs birthday in this beautiful property.
Thx!
The driveway up to the property and the view from out the front door were amazing. I loved that we had cows as neighbors across the street. We had little trouble getting inside, but never figured out how to change the door code. Directions were ok, but not super great and we just kept the original code. Walking in, immediately noticed a pretty interesting smell. It was almost fishy. Not sure what could have caused that. Other things we noticed without searching for particular issues: broken knobs on the stove, exposed wires at the bottom of the staircase, screen on the front of the cabin was completely off and laying on the porch, back deck with table was pretty dirty (lots of bird poop), and some of the rooms were quite cold, especially at night.Unfortunately, we couldnât spend more than a few mins outside at the property due to literal swarms of bugs. There was some mention of possible bugs in the initial email but WOW. Was not expecting that ! Not to mention so many box elder bugs inside. We sprayed with the bug spray provided but still weâre finding them everywhere inside. Thankfully, it was a short trip. We came and did all the things we planned on doing. For the cost, it was OK. But definitely need someone to check more thoroughly for cleanliness and broken things between guests. (I have photos of everything mentioned, but I donât see a way to include those at this moment)
Very nice property. We did have some check in issues with the door being left open and then the wrong phone number was listed when trying to contact the owner. Otherwise, great long weekend, property, very relaxing.
Beautiful place and relaxing. So close to the natural bridge and safari park . Plenty of places to eat only a few miles away. A must stay property that you will definitely want to come back as do we. Our trip was to honor our late Daughter Danielle who we lost to Acute Myeloid Leukemia in Nov of 23 . She would have been 22 when we visited on the 31st of August so we did some things that she was never able to . This place is perfect for that. So I highly recommend you to visit. And please visit @Bellsrockgarden on Instagram. If you stay here look for the special rocks we left and let us know .
