Forty acres of oak forest and vineyard, and for the length of your stay, all of it is yours. Booking the Dunning Ranch buyout means both suites and the whole ranch — two private entrances, two kitchens, and quiet in every direction — tucked into the heart of Paso Robles' Willow Creek AVA.

The main house sits at ground level: two bedrooms (a California King and a Queen), a full kitchen, a proper dining room, and a living room warmed by a wood stove, with a satellite TV and Blu-ray player for slow evenings in. The bathroom pairs a deep soaker tub with a separate tile shower. Two porches bracket the house — one out front for morning coffee, another for watching the light drop behind the hills — and the whole place is air-conditioned for warm Paso afternoons.

Up its own private staircase, the upstairs suite is a retreat within the retreat. It opens onto a large deck with a private entrance overlooking oak forest and rows of vines, and inside there's a bedroom, a private bath with a hydro-spa tub-and-shower combo, and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. A full-size pull-out sofa handles the extra guest or two. Together, the two suites sleep seven across three bedrooms — enough room for two couples, a small family, or a group that wants to spread out without leaving anyone behind.

The setting is the real luxury. This is working wine country, and some of the Central Coast's most acclaimed wineries and award-winning restaurants are just minutes down the road. Right next door, the adjacent Dunning Vineyard — separately owned — pours by appointment, about as short a walk to a tasting as you'll ever make. When you'd rather move than sip, hiking and exploring start right at the property line, and the rolling hills of the Willow Creek AVA are yours to wander.

There's a grill for the nights you'd rather cook in, and enough seclusion that the loudest thing you'll hear is wind through the oaks. For day trips, historic Mission San Miguel is about seventeen miles out and Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa roughly twenty-nine; San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport is the closest way in, around thirty-two miles away.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
