Stepping inside this stunning Sunflower Beach home you will be instantly welcomed and refreshed by the stunning decor. Spacious; open floor plan in the main living level provides plenty of room for everyone to relax! Guests will love the large flat-screen television and the living room furniture. The kitchen's granite countertops; stainless steel appliances; and gas range make preparing meals a delight; and the nearby wet bar offers a great place for preparing evening cocktails. The patio offers a choice of places to savor a morning coffee and coastal vistas. The first level features one bedroom —the luxurious master bedroom with a queen murphy bed and a private bathroom with a shower; a tub; and a dual-sink vanity. The guestroom is conveniently located on the second level with a private entrance; accessed by an OUTDOOR staircase. It offers a queen bed and private bathroom. After a fun day at the beach, drop your beach gear and soak up some sun at one of the two Premier Sunflower Pools. Sunflower Beach Resort offers direct access to the pristine Gulf Coast Beaches. Bike and Golf Cart Rentals; Walking Distance to Palmilla Golf Course; Adult Only and Family Pools; Adult pool will be heated starting Nov 1st through March 1st, during this time children will be allowed in the adult pool until 5 pm Sunflower Library Stations; Community Lounge Areas and Much, Much, more! Fireplace is decorative only.

*Second Bedroom MUST be accessed by the OUTDOOR PATIO STAIRS.

New, BUT................................................

The place was new and the community pool was fabulous; however, I've never believed or knew what feng shui actually meant or felt like until I stayed at Mare Nostrum. The decor was so miss-matched and the configuration of the rooms were very odd. The upstairs Guest Suite was quite crowded and we needed a ladder to get into the bed. There was no space between the wall and the bed so I basically fell off the high bed and caught myself against the wall.The Guest toilet didn't function properly and there were sugar ants in the kitchen all over the counter. There's also a ton of construction going on at the resort so if that bothers you I suggest you wait until next summer. Nothing stopped us from having a great time but when we come back again we will not stay at Sunflower Beach Resort. When you pay a lot of money you expect excellence.

The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway at the beach! The only downside is that there is so much construction…but that's just what happens with a growing community. It will be even better when Sunflower is complete. We will be back

We loved everything about sunflower condo .great staff closer to the beach big swimming pool golf carts on site nicely decorated and the condo was awesome I will definitely will be back soon

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the unit to have a staycation for the holiday and be socially distanced but still feel on vacation. The unit is gorgeous very nice finishes and really made our weekend without the kids feel fancy. The location is on a perfect spot for the beach and very close to the Black Marlin Bar and Grill. We would definitely rent again. Quiet and cozy and just what I needed to end a crazy year!

Super Cute and Comfortable

Mare Nostrum proved to be quite lovely for our anniversary getaway. The bottom floor is very much wide open with each of the three rooms connected to one another via wide openings. It was really quite comfortable for my wife and I. One funny thing that I failed to notice in the pictures was that the steps to the second story are located outside, there is no connection to the upstairs inside the house. Not an issue for us during our stay, but if you had inclement weather to contend with it might prove problematic. We really enjoyed the decorating throughout the house. We also appreciated some of the smaller things, like the silverware that is provided is clearly an antique set of silverware. Not a huge thing, but it feels better in your hand rather than something from Ikea. There were thoughtful little things like that throughout the house that enhanced our time there. The walk to the beach is probably 7 or 8 mins. There is a walkover on the east side of the development that was quite convenient. But you could also easily walk down Beach Access Road 1 as well to get to the beach- it is about the same distance away as the walkover. I would not want to deal with the walk if I had kids, but maybe your kids are up for something like that more so than mine would be. There is quite a bit of construction happening around the development, so a good amount of construction noise in the distance- but nothing super close to the house itself. The check-in process was quite easy and all communication was conducted via email prior to our arrival. We didn't have any issues during our stay so there was no need to contact the property manager while we were there, but I would imagine they would have been quite prompt in their reply. We really enjoyed our time at Mare Nostrum, and would definitely consider booking it again in the future!

Love the place but the AC doesnt work.

Great property and location but the air conditioner never cooled the place down. The temp stayed at between 82 and 86 in the unit all weekend, even at night. We tried calling the property manager twice but got sent to voicemail each time. We left a voicemail but never received a return call.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mare Nostrum was the perfect way to get to the beach and be away from the hustle and bustle of large resort properties. The "camp cabin" was fully equipped for everything one would need to set up home away from home. The only appliance it might need is a toaster/convection oven, as the convection on the combioven above the cooktop really is good as a microwave. The appointments/decor are the perfect theme for a beachside home. This is a two-bedroom home. The upstairs bedroom has a separate, private entrance for small groups traveling together. However, this also is a perfect size for any couple traveling alone. One to the pools -- neither was crowded. More often than not, we used them alone. We'd definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed staying in our cabin at Sunflower properties. Just a couple of thoughts to pass on to the owners. The Murphy bed was fine for one person; however, if 2 people consistently use this bed it will not last long. Having only a microwave/convection oven proved to be a challenge. Due to Covid, we had all of our meals at the cabin. It is very difficult to cook an entire meal without an oven. We all agreed that we would like to return to Sunflower Properties.
