Halsnoy Haven—A hidden gem on Lake Superior—Perfect couples retreat—Sweeping views

Welcome to Halsnoy Haven! From every angle, you’ll be surrounded by all that Lake Superior has to offer in this large, newly renovated property. With one bedroom, two baths and amazing outdoor spaces, it’s perfect for couples and beautiful in all seasons. Watch the sun rise, listen to the crash of the waves and explore the North Shore with ease—Halsnoy Haven is just minutes from some of the North Shore’s most popular hiking, skiing, biking and dining spots.

Inside, you’ll find an immaculate and well-appointed space with all the amenities. Enjoy the spacious living and dining area with vaulted ceilings, large windows, gas fireplace and smart TV. Sliding doors bring the outdoors in with access to a full porch and covered screen porch for amazing Lake Superior views. The updated kitchen features new appliances and granite countertops. Upstairs you’ll find a king-sized bedroom with en suite bath and cozy nook for reading or naps. Outside, the large flat lot includes a gas grill, adironack chairs, double-swing, fire pit and ample parking.

From Halsnoy Haven, it’s 2 minutes to Tofte, 15 minutes to Lutsen Mountain and 45 minutes to Grand Marais by car. Or, walk or bike the paved Gitchee-Gummi trail for miles—there’s an access point at the end of our driveway. Cross-country ski lovers can join the Sugarbush Trail System just across highway 61. Nearby attractions include Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen Ski Resort and Temperance River State Park.

Staying at the Halsnoy Haven was an absolute pleasure. Beautiful home perched on the edge of Lake Superior. Everything you could want, solitude, fresh air, peaceful surroundings. We awoke to amazing sunrises and fell asleep to the lapping of waves from the lake.The enclosed porch or open air covered deck were perfect for morning coffee and afternoon sun breaks. We didn't want to leave!

Peaceful and Beautiful

We ended up with rain during our stay which gave a foggy view, but we could still hear the water and it was heavenly. The place is beautiful and the accomodations were top notch.

Superior Serenity

Halsnoy Haven is a wonderful house and property. The panoramic view of Lake Superior is so impressive from the outside deck, the enclosed deck or behind the big windows and sliders across the front of the house.The house is very well designed and fully fitted out to support a great stay. It was so comfortable and beautiful that we only left the house to hike - no restaurants have a better view and we like to cook.

Halsnoy Haven is a gem tucked just off Hwy 61 overlooking Lake Superior. It is extremely cozy and immaculate. We would definitely book this property again. It is in close proximity to many sights, trails and yet is very private. The bed was very comfortable.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Halsnoy Haven, and really enjoyed the place. The description was spot-on
well-appointed living spaces, excellent screened and open porch. Having access to the garage was unexpected but appreciated
with heavy storms for a day-plus, able to keep the car protected. That same stormy day, we took full advantage of the jigsaw puzzle collection that was available! I’d certainly recommend this lovely cabin for two people wanting to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing few days

Beautiful location with great view of Lake Superior. House is nicely finished and equipped. Nice location for using as a base camp for doing day trip explorations of the Superior north shore.

It's exactly as advertised. We enjoyed having some shoreline to ourselves to sit and relax and look out over the water. With all the windows, the view felt never ending.

North Shore Gem

We loved our stay at Halsnoy Haven! The house has a beautiful view of Lake Superior from the large deck. The newly remodeled interior is modern, fresh and clean. The location near Tofte is idea as it is fairly close to several hiking trails and quaint North Shore town. The bike trail goes right by the property. We hope to return to Halsnoy!

Simply Amazing

From the first few steps in the house this property is amazing. The views of Lake Superior are incredibly brought into the home with the countless windows. Staying here was an experience not just a place to stay. Watching the sunrise and hearing the waves crashing from the deck was a memory we’ll never forget. Lovely property within close proximity to Lake Superior and Tofte

My husband and I stayed at this property for a quiet weekend getaway and what a lovely property. The house is well equipped with everything needed for cooking and very clean. The bedding and mattress was new and very comfortable. We enjoyed the lakeside deck and comfy Adirondack chairs as well as the fire-pit. Our communication with the property manager was responded to quickly and efficiently. Other than the too early checkout time on departure day we have absolutely no concerns. Thanks for a lovely respite overlooking Lake Superior.

What a beautiful view. A perfect get away, with everything we needed.
Even in cloud cover the lake is stunning.
The sound of the waves crashing and rolling in were a perfect treat with our morning coffee on the enclosed 3 season porch.

For the 3rd year we had a wonderful Fall Break at Halsnoy Haven. The home is well cared for, exceptionally clean and well stocked. As we were leaving the cleaner was waiting and we where happy to compliment her on the wonderful attention to detail. Of course the view always dazzles.The wine and water bottle were an appreciated addition.We are all signed up for the same time next year.Laurie

This property was close to several beautiful waterfalls and a couple of lighthouses. The view was absolutely breathtaking! The home had everything we could want and was very inviting. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. We went for our 25th wedding anniversary and loved it!!!

The property was perfect for a weekend getaway. We wished we could stay longer. The first thing we saw when walking into the house was the amazing view of the lake. The weather was rainy and cool when we were there, so we appreciated the covered deck and 3 season porch. Highly recommended this property, even though I would like to gatekeep it, and look forward to returning.

The lake views were incredible. We really enjoyed both sections of porch. Nice to have the enclosed section to avoid mosquitoes or chilly breezes. Wonderfully dark skies made for great star gazing. Bed was very comfortable. Appreciated the dishwasher and gas fireplace. We had a lovely time!
