Find your Groove in Ocean Beach
Just north of Point Loma, this small beach town is a favorite among locals for its blissful mix of activities and pastimes, including surfing, sunbathing near the pier and strolling among the many surf shops, taco stands and unique local boutiques. Ocean Beach boasts a throwback vibe of vintage SoCal, coupled with friendly locals, great dining and microbrews, and a vibrant nightlife scene.

WHERE TO GO
The Pier at the foot of Newport Avenue is one of the longest piers in Southern California, extending a half mile out to sea. The Ocean Beach Pier is one of the few places in San Diego where you can fish without a valid California fishing license. It is now fully reopened after extensive repairs due to storm and wave damage.
Dog Beach is wedged between the Mission Bay Harbor Channel and the jetty at the north end of Ocean Beach. Here, pets are not only allowed on the beach, but are permitted to play leash-free with other canine beach-lovers.

This shabby Chic bungalow is walking distance to the beach, boardwalk and downtown shops , eating. Great outdoor space for BBQ and enjoying your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Free on site parking included.

This cozy beach bungalow was perfect for our weekend in San Diego! It is an older building, so it was kind of warm during the heat, but there is an air conditioning unit provided in the bedroom which helped a bit. Due to the heat, the place can have a slight mildew smell, but when we opened the windows and aired out the place it was fine! Even then the smell wasn't awful.Plenty of amenities are included which was nice, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, and hangers. We had initial trouble checking in as the lock code was not working, but even at 9:00 pm our host reset the lock and got us into the place in less than 10 minutes! I really appreciated the quick response. The place was very good walking distance to everything. About 5-10 minutes to local shops, restaurants, and the beach. Plenty of bedding and pillows provided. Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly cozy place and are fine with a older building and it's charm, this is the perfect place for you! I would definitely come back for future stays :)

Great location. Central to all amenities and the beach. Parking was very convenient. When we first arrived we had trouble with the electronic lock, creating some immediate frustration. The apartment itself appeared clean, however there was a musty oder, even with both windows open it did not disappear during our stay. There is an outdoor seating area that was unusable due to flies. Even though the house itself is clean the rear alley is appalling. I believe that to be the source of the flies.Overall it was tolerable, although a bit cramp, for our family of four. What we wanted was the beach, not a place to spend indoors. The price was comparable to something we would rent at the New Jersey shore.

I loved my stay at the beach cottage! It checked all of my boxes; comfortable bed, coffee, clean, quiet, great location (it really is 2 blocks from the beach), restaurants, Old Town, the airport (very little noise in the daytime and none at night), and parking. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Let's start with the good. The location is PERFECT! The off street parking was definitely a perk. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance. The beach was also only 2 blocks away! Now, the not so good. The unit was not what was shown in the listing. The shower wouldn't drain and after text communication with the host, maintenance never showed up for that issue. We had to wait nearly an hour before the next person could shower. The 2nd day we were there, the door would not lock and my communication with the host was less than ideal. They sent out a maintenance person to change the batteries. It was good until the next day when our unit door would not lock...again. The AC worked sporadically, the bedroom fan and light kept turning on in the middle of the night. I'm assuming it was an electrical issue because there was clearly water damage that had been painted over on the ceiling. The floors are also slanted so if you have an older guest (like we did) it's a hazard.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the house, it was so easy to book and cozy. We were at San Diego for my son’s military graduation ceremony and family events, we would arrive exhausted and we were so glad that the place clean and cozy for rest and has everything we need. I really recommend this cozy bungalow, it’s small but it was perfect for my family of four.

The unit was clean and I appreciated the bedroom being a bit separated from the living area. It was musty when we checked in. We were able to air out the unit except the bathroom continued to smell like mildew. It was clean though. Although the bathroom was not as nice as it looked in the photos, I think it is a great property for the price and location.

Affordable spot in a great location!

The property was just what we needed for our group of 3 adults to stay near the beach for a few days. Not really set up for dining in, but for breakfast and sightseeing it worked well, and it was great to have a dedicated parking place!
