Welcome to Camelot Chalet at Baxter Lake, a stunning 4 bedroom home built in 2022, comfortably sleeping 12-14.

Whether you're planning a relaxing summer getaway filled with days on the lake and outdoor adventures or a cozy winter escape to enjoy snowy landscapes and fireside evenings, this retreat provides the perfect setting for your seasonal vacation.

Prepare delicious meals in the designer kitchen, unwind in the spacious living areas, and retreat to the comfortable bedrooms, which include 4 king beds and 2 twin/full bunk beds.

We're super proud of this custom home. We built it from the ground up in 2022 - literally cleared the lot, poured the foundation, worked with an architecture firm on the plans, and designed it as a rustic modern retreat, sparing no expense! It's our dream vacation home and we're so excited to share it with you and your friends and family.

Centrally located at Baxter Lake, Camelot Chalet is about 30 minutes from both Portsmouth and Lake Winnipesaukee. Gunstock Mountain, Laconia, Kennebunkport, Wolfeboro, Concord, and Newburyport are all within 1 hour's drive!

This spacious home offers four large, cozy bedrooms, all with king beds because that's how we like to sleep and we're guessing you will too!

There are two bedrooms on the main level, two bedrooms upstairs, and two twin/full bunk beds on the lower level (which also includes a reclining sectional, large TV, poker table, foosball, tons of board games, and a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo). It's the perfect spot for kids at heart or for all the actual kids to hang out and have their own space!

Enjoy a five-star stay in our pampering master bathroom, featuring stylish tile, a walk-in glass shower, shower wand, and high-quality amenities.

On the main level, indulge in a spa-like experience in our stylish master bathroom, featuring a walk-in shower, luxurious amenities, and plush towels.

Our second full bathroom is also on the main level. It is equipped with a stand-up shower, ensuring a delightful stay for every guest in our home.

Upstairs is our third full bathroom featuring a shower and providing a seamless experience for guests staying in the well-appointed upper bedrooms.

Experience ultimate comfort with our fourth full bathroom located downstairs. This spacious bathroom is perfect for families, offering a relaxing tub for you to unwind, and an easy-to-use setup for bathing your toddlers, making your vacation truly stress-free.

All bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and amenity kits for your convenience.

We love dogs! We warmly welcome your canine companions to our home! For the safety and comfort of all, we kindly ask that you keep your furry friends on a leash when outside, pick up after them with poop bags, and be mindful of other dogs in the neighborhood.

There are certain risks associated with using a bunk bed and bunk bed ladder, and guests agree that use is at your own risk. Property owner assumes no responsibility for personal loss, injury, or illness of any kind which may result from use of the bunk bed and ladder. The owners are not liable for any accidents occurring. Parents with children should be especially cautioned regarding ladder use and agree to accept all responsibility for minors. While not an exhaustive list of precautions, guests agree to follow these industry standards: 1) Use of top bunk is limited to occupants 6 years or older; 2) Use of top bunk is limited to 1 occupant and a maximum 175 lb weight; 3) No jumping or other horseplay on or around the bed; 4) Always use ladder for entering and leaving the upper bunk.

As a host, I feel entirely ridiculous even having to include this section within our listing.

You are welcome to use our property, enjoy walking throughout the private roads of Lancelot Shores, and even use the community beaches and boat ramp.

We’re lucky to be in a peaceful, close-knit neighborhood, and maintaining strong relationships with our neighbors is a big part of what makes our home and this community special.

For over 99.9% of our guests - this is obvious and not an issue. Unfortunately, for the 0.1% of guests who haven't quite understood this, it has caused a problem with our immediate neighbors, and they let us know EVERY TIME someone violates this rule.

That’s where you come in.

We ask—firmly and respectfully—that guests do not set foot on any neighboring property for any reason.

This includes:

** The yard and beach across the street (no sitting, walking, or passing through)

** Launching kayaks, paddleboards, or other watercraft from the private beach across the street. That is their yard - please don't even ask them if it's ok.

** Swimming or entering the water from any neighboring beach

** Using any garbage or recycling bins that are not on this property

** Taking photos or wandering onto lawns, driveways, or shared paths

Some neighboring properties have security cameras and will contact us immediately if guests trespass, even briefly. Their cameras are motion-sensored.

We know this may feel strict, but it’s part of being a great guest in our shared community.

If you have any questions about boundaries or access points, just ask—we’re happy to help. Our property lines should be fairly obvious, as are the ones for our neighbors as you navigate within our community.

Renting our home constitutes that you have read and understood this policy.

Unfortunately, if you violate this policy, you may be asked to leave without a refund for the remainder of your stay.

Amazing lake house

My whole family of 12 stayed for the week. The house is amazing and amenities include everything you need. The beaches were really nice and we got a lot of use out of the kayaks and paddle boards

The hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with. The house had everything we needed for the stay and a few extras that many places dont think about (like toiletries you may have forgotten). The neighborhood is quite and very beautiful.

Gorgeous place and wonderful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stau at Camelot Chalet. The small details were much appreciated. Location is great for all of NH and neighboring states. The fact that all the bedrooms had a king bed plus number of bathrooms was aweaome. Host was phenomenal...would definitely recommend. Thanks for making our stay incredible!

Beautiful home!

I was looking for a last-minute lake trip for me, my sister, husband, 2 kids, 2 grandparents and 2 dogs. This house was spotless, beautifully decorated and truly comfortable for all of 7 us with plenty of room to spare. The kitchen had everything we needed, from plates, utensils and tupperware to pizza cutters, foil, measuring cups, strainers...you name it. Fridge and cabinets were stocked with essential condiments, salt/pepper and olive oil. Beds were super comfortable (loved that there were four king beds!) all the bedding was brand new. The kids, my husband and I shared the upstairs/bathroom while my parents had the ensuite on the first floor, which was great and easily accessible without needing to traverse any stairs. (There is a ramp from the driveway to the back deck so stairs can be avoided if needed.) My daughter loved the cute reading nook upstairs and my son loved the foosball table in the walk-out basement. We spent a bunch of time playing with the dogs (and each other) in the yard. We brought our own small trash bin to keep outside for the doggy waste, which I definitely recommend if bringing pets. Highly recommend if looking for a spot to kayak or just a clean, fun and cozy homebase when staying in the area. The owners were super helpful and communicative, could not have asked for more from them.

Our family base camped here for 5 days for a family wedding nearby. This house had a great layout, comfortable beds and was clean and well stocked with coffee, condiments, and games for our large group.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Camelot Chalet has been a work in progress since 2018 when we purchased land across from Baxter Lake in the hopes that someday we would build our dream lake home there.

We live in Newburyport, but have been vacationing in New Hampshire at Baxter Lake for many years. In fact, our family members retired right down the street from Camelot Chalet! Baxter Lake is close enough from Boston for a quick hour-and-forty-minute drive up after work, but it's a world away from the city. No light pollution, clean air, quiet and tranquil, Camelot Chalet at Baxter Lake is the perfect escape for a long weekend, or a full week's vacation in the summer.

This home has been a work in progress since 2018 when we purchased the land next to our original property and added to it a year later.

We bought architectural plans, found a terrific local builder, and broke ground in December 2021. We excavated and poured a foundation in the first half of 2022, and then built the home, infrastructure, and finishings in the latter part of 2022.

It turned out so gorgeous - we're super proud of this home and we're so happy to share it with our guests!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Camelot Chalet is a destination unto itself, but also close enough to grocery stores, hardware stores, craft stores, and restaurants (15 minutes away), skiing (45 minutes away), and day trips under an hour (Ogunquit, Dover, Portsmouth, Laconia, Lake Winnipesaukee, Maine, Outlet Shopping).

From the moment you arrive and make use of the convenient self-check-in, we encourage you to enjoy the entire house. The property is at your complete disposal with the exception of the owner’s closet. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience. This is a dog-friendly home! We look forward to hosting you and your furry friend.

There is ample secure parking available for up to six vehicles in the driveway.

Aside from our owner's closet, you will have free reign of the house, and are welcome to access all rooms.

The main entrance is up 3 exterior stairs from the walkway. We have a ramp leading onto the deck, but there is a step up to the ramp from the rear walkway, and we don't keep it fully shoveled during the winter. Someone would need to unlock the slider from inside. With that said, the main living level does have sleeping, shower, and kitchen facilities.

We escape the city for our home in the woods as often as possible, but we also love sharing our home with responsible families and groups of friends who will treat our home respectfully.
