Perfect for our littles, the house is right on the water. Great location, clean house. We told the host we had trouble with AC they came over to install another window unit. My daughter got sick and they answered the phone immediately to suggest a local urgent care. Very responsible, respectful of our privacy and a lovely house. We would stay again.
Jamie is an American who has lived abroad since 2005, working in international public health. She purchased this property on Locke Lake where she could fill it with her collections from travels around the world, and come home to touch base with family and friends. It has become a gathering place that has generated so many incredible memories. Now she is making it available to you.
Her son, Brendan, is the property manager. He has lived in numerous countries, has a degree in hospitality from the prestigious Swiss university Les Roches, and has managed properties and worked in high end hotels and restaurants.
Together, they are making sure you get the service you deserve, the bed and bath a step above the ordinary, and most of all, the unique setting that will create long-lasting memories with friends and family.
Locke Lake is a perfect little jewel of a lake -- quiet, with calm waters that reflect the light and attract loons, ducks, eagles, hawks and many other types of wildlife.
The Locke Lake Colony provides four beaches (in addition to the property's private beach), tennis and pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a 5-hole golf course -- all free to guests.
Within 15 minutes, Lake Winnipesaukee offers the "big lake" experience where you can rent pontoon and power boats.
A sunroom overlooking the lake is a client favorite spot, where you can watch the sun both rise and set. You can grill and eat dinners on a fabulous covered outdoor dining area, watching the sun set over the lake. Sit by the beachside firepit with one of our cozy blankets and wait for the fireflies to come out. Inside, you'll find artwork from around the world -- wire sculpture from South Africa, vintage posters from Vietnam and Switzerland, paintings from American artists, pottery from France and Portugal, rugs from the Middle East, hanging art and baskets from Burkina Faso and The Gambia in Africa.
