Adorable beach cabin within a few steps to a secluded beach!
Enjoy this cute nautical cabin with a gorgeous view of the water and just a few stairs out your back door from the beach. On this property you can swim in the fresh water pond, hike through wooded trails, take a kayak adventure straight from the beach, roast a smore on a beach campfire, play some games on the large grass sports field and much more all on this 33 acre marvelous estate! There is another cabin about the same size on the property if you have larger parties and would like to book both, please message for details.
To get to this property you will need to take a ferry from Anacortes to Lopez Island. Reservations can be made up to 2 months in advance. Wait times can be hours if you do not have a reservation. The property is a 12 minute drive from the ferry terminal to your vacation rental. Below is the link to make ferry reservations.
Located on nice estate. Steps away from a nice beach area. Quiet area to walk or bike around. The little house is nearly new and the heated floor makes it comfortable in any weather. Wall of windows facing the water provides great views.
Thanks to Diane for sharing her wonderful family get away. What a beautiful spot, in a lovely location. The cabin had everything you'd need and the hospitality was so appreciated. We had a lovely time!
We had such a relaxing time in this beautiful place. We saw all kinds of wildlife and the sunrises were breathtaking. The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to help us enjoy our time on Lopez.
This little cabin is cozy and clean. We found everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The owners are exceptionally friendly. The view and the wildlife were amazing.
Very nice cabin, well set up, everything we needed, the view out the front window and from the lawn is worth the price. It is a little slice of heaven.
Diane and Mike are the best hosts! The house is very quiet with quick beach access. The house comes with everything you need for a quiet island retreat!
This was an amazing vacation spot! The house was spotless, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and had a spectacular view of the water and surrounding islands. Saw lots of wildlife every day including eagles, seals, and herons. Our host Diane was very friendly and responsive. We would love to come back some day!
Super cute cottage with an incredible view! Very clean and well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Wildlife on your doorstep from otters to seals to birds. Very relaxing.
Magical place to stay. Beautiful and tranquil area. Well stocked property and wonderful and attentive property managers. Island itself is a tight knit community and full of activities away from the well trodden path. Truly a hidden gem. I feel tempted to keep to myself, but i canât do that. Recommended!
Iâm not sure if thereâs enough space to describe how amazing this stay was. Gracious hosts, sweeping vistas of water and mountains, beach fires to gather around, fun boats to explore the coast, cozy cabins with everything we could possibly need. If you are looking for an experience thatâs true to the San Juanâs spirit, this is one of the best Iâve been able to enjoy.
This place was amazing and provided everything you could ask for on a short getaway to Lopez. The house itself was clean and provided all the cooking ware needed to cook inside or outside (with 2 large gas grills at your disposal if needed). The views are stunning and itâs tucked away on the property where the only things that will awake you are the sea gulls or seals barking in the distance. Loved my stay there and would be back in a heart beat!
An absolute gem! Seals, otters, and what a view. The pictures on the listing cute but this place is very well doneâŠâcuterâ in person. We base camped our e-bike weekend from here. It was in a great location, semi central location. The sunrises from the front room were simply amazingâŠwe will be back.
Never have stayed in the San Juan Islands before, we chose this cabin on Lopez Island. What a find. What a gem! The cabin was beautiful as was the view. The Host, Diane and her husband were great. Already looking to return.
The host for the property are on site. They are awesome and very accommodating. The little cabin had everything we needed. Located right on the water as said in the VRBO. Fire pit was awesome. Some driftwood to burn. Awesome views. At one point seen 20 seals on the Little Rock Island in front of the property. Make sure to take binoculars so you get a bird's-eye view. Can't wait to stay there again! Highly recommended.
Compact, well-stocked cabin with the most incredible view. We spent time in the hammock and chairs just outside watching otters, seals, oystercatchers, bald eagles, and noisy nesting seagulls. A short walk leads down to a secluded rocky beach. Picnic tables and bbq right there. A longer walk took us to a large man made pond with plastic kayaks, a rowboat, and pier. When we needed help with something our host was there personally in minutes. Lovely people. I cannot stress enough how beautiful the location is!
Wow, as soon as we arrived, we felt relaxed by the view and nature around us. This is a perfect spot to have some wonderful family time-a comfy hammock to lay in, a perfectly situated picnic table for outdoor dinners, and a beach and pier all right outside your doorstep.
The cozy cabin has all you need and is immaculately cleaned! I felt that everything was so well kept and up to standards of a quality hotel. You can explore the huge property they own and it is amazingly well kept!
The hosts, Mike and Diane, are so helpful and friendly. Very communicative and dedicated to making your stay enjoyable. On site if you need anything. We had fun stopping by their lovely farmers market stand that Mike sells his woodworking boats and Diane has clam chowder in the cooler months They even dropped by binoculars so we could better watch the fascinating and incredible wildlife on small island right out in front, especially the frequent interactions between the seagulls and eagle (that was game changing to have quality binoculars!). We just loved exploring the beach and clamming for fun (we put them back after finding them) They also have kayaks you can conveniently rent.
We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Mike and Diane.
The Bumstead family purchased this amazing property in 1946 and have enjoyed its beauty for these many years. We moved to Lopez Island permanently in 2020. We love showing and sharing our little slice of Heaven, and have had so many return again and again! Mike and Diane love participating in the Farmers Market each year where we sell hand made wooden ferry boats, sail boats and kayaks along with homemade clam chowder. We love our family which consists of 5 children, 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren! We are sure you will love this property as much as we do!!
This vacation rental is located on 33 acres with a wonderful beach, fire ring, and a large fresh water swimming area . Our favorite is the view. Seals on small Island, ferry boats making their journey from island to island. Eagles soaring, and all the sounds of nature. there is nothing to compare!!!
There are so many activities here. Hiking, kayaking (we rent them on property) a variety of beaches and areas to visit, biking, and enjoying the quaint Lopez Village with all it has to offer.
