Hands Down...10 stars. What a glorious experience we had at the farm house. Diane and Mike are amazing hosts... so welcoming, kind, and generous. We wished for nothing more. Thank You so very much for allowing us to visit your gorgous land. Jodee and Wayne
Beautiful place. Host was super accommodating and the house was perfect for our visit to the island. Quiet and yet close to everything! Can't wait to visit again
Beautiful location and view. House is very nicely remodeled and tastefully decorated. Water access area is terrific. Hosts are welcoming and helpful. WiFi is excellent, phone calls often don't work, texts do work. Suggestions: add small trash cans under kitchen sink and in each bedroom; label recycling and trash cans by washer; install wall hooks in small bedroom to hang wet stuff, towels, etc, in lieu of closet; add 4-plex thingys to electrical outlets in bedrooms to charge multiple devices at once. Great property, with an amazing view! Lotsa of fun stuff around the area. âSeagull islandâ was fun for the kids to watch. The host was friendly and the swimming pond was a nice bonus!! Gonna be back next summer!
Beautiful, serene atmosphere that never gets old to see and experience. There's lots to do on the property itself but we also enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market and eating Diane's amazing clam chowder and buying a few of Mike's wooden boats! They are fabulous hosts!
Diane and Mike were lovely hosts. We had the most fantastic time staying on Lopez! The house is comfortable. The views never get old. The eagles and seals and crabs are everywhere!
We are fortunate enough to find Farmhouse as our place for a family retreat. What a wonderful place. Diane went above and beyond to make sure that we are enjoying our time there. It is an unique experience. Thank you.
We arrived via the Anacortes Ferry in the middle of a rain storm and then had PERFECT weather for the remainder of our 1 week stay. The âFarm Houseâ is a scaled down family home in pristine condition on 33 acres of forested shoreline that is WONDERFUL for exploring. Our AMAZING Hosts were VERY attentive to our needs and were truly the reason our stay was so memorable. The sunrises, views of Mr Baker, and sea life (Orcas, seals, sea otters, etc.) as well as the eagles will not soon be forgotten!! It was tough leaving such a wonderful place.
Clean and expansive property. We spent almost the entire weekend at the house and the beach. There are so many fun activities and places to explore, including beach combing, watching the seals and birds from the house, and the family of 4 river otters hanging out at the beach. Hosts are very welcoming.
We loved our stay and made wonderful memories. The property is stunning! The house is darling and the hosts are quick to respond to any questions and very helpful!
Spectacular view property, very clean and well appointed. Comfortable stay and hosts are very responsive, coming immediately to fix an issue on check in. Would definitely stay again!
I am a grandparent of 2 and they love animals and the outdoors. This beautiful home and surroundings was the perfect spot for all of us. Plenty of room for them to explore, and a rock in the ocean with seals, and eagle sitings everyday. We were very close to whale watching access by boat at the marina. To watch the children experience new adventures puts a smile on my face everytime!
The farmhouse was very clean. The views even better than the pictures show. Hosts were lovely and showed us around the property. Everything needed was provided.
We had a wonderful stay here, the beds were comfortable, the view was unmatched and we enjoyed using the BBQ and beach even in rainy weather. We look forward to returning!
This small farmhouse sits on a large piece of waterfront property. It is impossible to describe the sweeping view of the Sound and other islands from the windows on the front of the house. Absolutely stunning. Owner was incredibly accommodating and forthright with answers to our questions. Neat as a pin, modern decor, and plenty of room to explore the property. We have stayed here several times with friends and look forward to coming back! A+++
Idyllic property. The Farmhouse itself is clean, comfortable and well-furnished with postcard views of the water, a sea-lion nursery and occasional sightings of otters closer to shore. You can walk to a secluded beach, kayak or just sit on the deck and take it all in. A special place. Highly recommended. Would (will) return. Easy communication with host even though she was traveling out of the country.
I loved everything about this property! It's exactly as described and i can't wait to go back next year!
One heads up, It is very rural, about a 10 minute drive from "downtown". While the island is super cyclist friendly there are many rolling hills that make it hard to ride into town. If you are planning on riding your bike from the house and are not accustomed to hills, consider an ebike.
The Bumstead family purchased this amazing property in 1946 and have enjoyed its beauty for these many years. We moved to Lopez Island permanently in 2020. We love showing and sharing our little slice of Heaven, and have had so many return again and again! Mike and Diane love participating in the Farmers Market each year where we sell hand made wooden ferry boats, sail boats and kayaks along with homemade clam chowder. We love our family which consists of 5 children, 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren! We are sure you will love this property as much as we do!!
This vacation rental is located on 33 acres with a wonderful beach, fire ring, and a large fresh water swimming area . Our favorite is the view. Seals on small Island, ferry boats making their journey from island to island. Eagles soaring, and all the sounds of nature. there is nothing to compare!!!
There are so many activities here. Hiking, kayaking (we rent them on property) a variety of beaches and areas to visit, biking, and enjoying the quaint Lopez Village with all it has to offer.
