Beautiful farmhouse overlooking water with beach access on a private estate
Enjoy this beautiful home with a gorgeous view of the water and just a few steps from the beach. On this property you can swim in the fresh water pond, hike through wooded trails, take a kayak adventure straight from the beach, roast a smore on a beach campfire, play some games on the large grass sports field and much more all on this 33 acre marvelous estate! There is another cabin about the same size on the property if you have larger parties and would like to book both, please message for details.

We are fortunate enough to find Farmhouse as our place for a family retreat. What a wonderful place. Diane went above and beyond to make sure that we are enjoying our time there. It is an unique experience. Thank you.
Spectacular view property, very clean and well appointed. Comfortable stay and hosts are very responsive, coming immediately to fix an issue on check in. Would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay and made wonderful memories. The property is stunning! The house is darling and the hosts are quick to respond to any questions and very helpful!
The farmhouse was very clean. The views even better than the pictures show. Hosts were lovely and showed us around the property. Everything needed was provided.
I could tell this amazing property is a cherished possession, and we loved it just as much! This was a perfect get away for our family of four. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Amazing views and beach access. The picnic table on the deck was a great place to eat and enjoy the view. Honestly canât say a negative thing about it!
The farmhouse was such a special place to stay. Gorgeous view of the water and nearby islands with lots of windows to enjoy it. The house itself was cheery, cozy and spotless. Well stocked with everything you'd need and the Bumsteads were such nice hosts. Do yourself a favor and just book it - you'll love it!
I am a grandparent of 2 and they love animals and the outdoors. This beautiful home and surroundings was the perfect spot for all of us. Plenty of room for them to explore, and a rock in the ocean with seals, and eagle sitings everyday. We were very close to whale watching access by boat at the marina. To watch the children experience new adventures puts a smile on my face everytime!
My family of 5 had a lovely time here. The house was clean and comfortable, the hosts very friendly and responsive. We loved the location. It was fun bbqâing at the beach, kayaking, and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit by the beach. Our young children enjoyed the expansive outdoors, playing on the lawn, digging through sand and pebbles on the beach, and watching the ongoing battle of the bald eagle and seagulls on the little wildlife sanctuary island just off the coast. Highly recommend it!
We arrived via the Anacortes Ferry in the middle of a rain storm and then had PERFECT weather for the remainder of our 1 week stay. The âFarm Houseâ is a scaled down family home in pristine condition on 33 acres of forested shoreline that is WONDERFUL for exploring. Our AMAZING Hosts were VERY attentive to our needs and were truly the reason our stay was so memorable. The sunrises, views of Mr Baker, and sea life (Orcas, seals, sea otters, etc.) as well as the eagles will not soon be forgotten!! It was tough leaving such a wonderful place.
This small farmhouse sits on a large piece of waterfront property. It is impossible to describe the sweeping view of the Sound and other islands from the windows on the front of the house. Absolutely stunning. Owner was incredibly accommodating and forthright with answers to our questions. Neat as a pin, modern decor, and plenty of room to explore the property. We have stayed here several times with friends and look forward to coming back! A+++
Idyllic property. The Farmhouse itself is clean, comfortable and well-furnished with postcard views of the water, a sea-lion nursery and occasional sightings of otters closer to shore. You can walk to a secluded beach, kayak or just sit on the deck and take it all in. A special place. Highly recommended. Would (will) return. Easy communication with host even though she was traveling out of the country.
From the moment you enter the property, you feel special. The setting is even better than the photos! Super clean. Smart design. Well-equipped. Quiet. Wonderful hosts. The beach. The view. THE VIEW! Memorable. Our family will always stare wistfully into the distance and recall this little slice of heaven on earth whenever the Pacific Northwest is mentioned.
Spotless, quiet, and aside from the stunning view the kids loved the pond that is larger than appears in pics. I biked from the property to farmers market (find the hosts stall for clam chow see and handmade wooden toys). Some serious hills pedaling, but can continue on waterfront designated bike path. Had a peaceful trip and kids were happy. Beds comfy. Communication was excellent and the hosts were lovely! Thank you. We will return.
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful this location is on Lopez. We absolutely loved staying in the farmhouse for our trip. The views from the house and the deck are fantastic. It is an easy walk down to the beach for great kayaking, bird watching, seal watching and evening s'mores on the beach. Diane and Mike were fantastic hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking family meals. The beds are comfy and so is the couch if you want an evening watching a movie. Our girls felt right at home and could not get enough of watching all the seals out on Small Island. We would not hesitate to come back and hope to get the chance to do so soon! Thank you for a great stay!
This place is everything you need for a San Juan Island vacation! The farmhouse is comfortable and well stocked. There is lots of beach to explore and kayaks available to rent by the hosts. Our last night, we had sâmores on the beach using their fire pit. We loved observing the seals and birds on the small island in front of the property. The swim pond is a short walk on a forest road- so fun to paddle around! On top of all that, the hosts were so warm and welcoming to my family (thank you!).
If you can manage to leave this vacation oasis, Lopez island is very beautiful and friendly. Be sure to stop at the farm stands for fresh meal ingredients. I like to explore new destinations but would love to come back to this place in the future, truly a gem!
Clean and expansive property. We spent almost the entire weekend at the house and the beach. There are so many fun activities and places to explore, including beach combing, watching the seals and birds from the house, and the family of 4 river otters hanging out at the beach. Hosts are very welcoming.
The Bumstead family purchased this amazing property in 1946 and have enjoyed its beauty for these many years. We moved to Lopez Island permanently in 2020. We love showing and sharing our little slice of Heaven, and have had so many return again and again! Mike and Diane love participating in the Farmers Market each year where we sell hand made wooden ferry boats, sail boats and kayaks along with homemade clam chowder. We love our family which consists of 5 children, 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren! We are sure you will love this property as much as we do!!
This vacation rental is located on 33 acres with a wonderful beach, fire ring, and a large fresh water swimming area . Our favorite is the view. Seals on small Island, ferry boats making their journey from island to island. Eagles soaring, and all the sounds of nature. there is nothing to compare!!!
There are so many activities here. Hiking, kayaking (we rent them on property) a variety of beaches and areas to visit, biking, and enjoying the quaint Lopez Village with all it has to offer.
