This was a terrible experience
We asked if our daughter could stay and we were told no because there wasn't enough room. Which is disappointing but understandable. I checked into cancelling and would not get a refund so we didn't cancel. Upon arrival the host was very rude and threatening. She said "you better not destroy my house, I have your deposit." I reassured her that just bc she was being rude didn't mean my family would destroy the house, we arent like that. We travel a LOT and do this often. She said well how many people are with you? I said there are 6 of us. She said I changed the code bc I didn't know if you were going to break the rules. I said no. At this point i am VERY uncomfortable saying here but we just drove an hour and my kids are tired, so we go in. We look around and there are only enough beds to sleep five. So I called her back. She said, very rudely, I don't know how you got into my house. It's for 4 adults and 2 kids! Ok, that's still 6 people. Didnt you look at the pictures? There's pictures. She counted a pack n play or crib as a bed. My youngest is 6. So, we had to leave and drive an hour back home. This was for my huband's birthday so it ruined the day and the trip. We do this a LOT and I've never been treated so badly. I was so uneasy staying there knowing they were next door. We have traveled enough that we know a pack n play is not counted as a bed but an amenity. We also know that pictures don't always show everything, if it says sleeps 6 we thought we could have 6.
