Please note this is a lake front home on a slope with 115 stairs to lake and steep property.

What a beautiful property. The view is amazing. The host is very responsive and the property has everything one would need. It was also dog friendly! I really enjoyed my stay here.

Spent a long weekend on the lake ,we were able to bring our boat it was a blast .swimming fishing and boating .then enjoyed the nights at the outdoor fireplace

Easily the best house I have rented. Huge rooms, beautiful kitchen, amazing views, house is magnificent. The host was easy to get in touch with and responds quickly! Definitely going to rent this again.

Lovely lake house

We had a beautiful fall weekend at this gorgeous, spacious, modern lake house. There are tons of amenities in the house including games, kitchen tools, linens and paper goods. Our kids loved the amazing bunk room in the basement. The owners were great to work with and the house lives up to the pictures!

Beautiful property!

Pictures don’t do this property justice, it’s absolutely stunning and much bigger in person! I hosted an intimate women’s retreat and it was perfect. I would definitely book this place again and John and Joel were wonderful hosts! We got snowed in one day, and John came and helped us get our cars out. Thank you so much for the wonderful day!

One of our favorite houses ever!

We have stayed at many homes over the years with my family of six. This time as we were leaving everyone decided this was one of our favorite houses ever. it’s comfortable it’s clean it’s got all the amenities and the owner was very easy to work with. To top it all off the mattresses are extremely comfortable I actually took the information and ordered one for my wife and I. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with my family.

Outstanding House on Candlewood Lake

Three fathers and four teenage sons stayed here for a long weekend of fishing on Candlewood Lake. This is certainly not a fishing cabin, but well worth the extra expense. The house is "as advertised," with no expense spared, great attention to detail, and a well-thought-out floor plan. The main floor/kitchen area was great for everyone to be together, but the house also offered plenty of space for personal time. The beds were super comfortable. The dock offered plenty of space for hanging out and swimming. We also enjoyed the spacious deck and the outdoor fireplace. Lastly, the hosts went above and beyond and were quick to address issues (VRBO system issues, not the house). Would definitely stay here again.

Start to finish this one was exactly what we were hoping for. The location is tucked away in a private neighborhood w/gorgeous views of Candlewood Lake through lush green foliage. The house itself is so well put together for large/small groups. We cooked nightly in the gourmet kitchen complete with a Sub Zero fridge that I now have to order for my wife. The Wolf range was spectacular. We had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, supplies, countertop space. There is a huge island that we all congregated at morning, noon night, just like at home & just like we were hoping for. There is a large dining room that we utilized nightly for family dinners. The living room had with a huge sectional and a large smart TV allowing you to sign into all your streaming services quickly and easily. All of this with the stunning vistas as your background. Upstairs was 4 sizable bedrooms w/3 full bathrooms - more than enough for our group to comfortably enjoy our holiday disconnect. The basement was perfect for the kiddos to hang & get some space from the adults w/another smart TV. The massive deck off the main living space was greatly appreciated even through the cold Thanksgiving weather. I imagine this property would be incredible in the summer months with direct lake access, a pellet smoker. Parking was amble for our in town guests, the wifi was easy to join and quick, the location was close to markets. The hosts were communicative & you can tell they have real pride in their home. House was beautiful and comfortable - the pics represented it well. Yes, there's a steep set of stairs descending to the lake, but that wasn't a big deal and children were able to navigate them easily with adult supervision. Attention to a few small areas would help push this to a 5-star stay: There was a strong smell in the basement/bunk floor (maybe fresh paint?) that made it impossible for some of us to be there for the first day and night of our stay without coughing. The pots and pans all had scratched, non-stick coatings and need to be replaced to be safe to use. There wasn't a tea kettle. The doors were difficult to close inside the house. And there weren't any directions on how to handle the indoor and outdoor flues when using the outdoor fireplace - the owner/manager also didn't know how to advise us when the house started filling with smoke (although later we all figured it out). The house has a lot of potential and we had a really nice stay, but it would help to work these small kinks out.

Memorable home

We had a fantastic stay at this home. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of warmth and friendliness. The atmosphere was beautiful and inviting, making us instantly feel at home. The lake house theme was a wonderful touch, showcasing great creativity in the decor. The architecture of the house was truly fantastic. Every detail was well thought out, and the design was both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The layout of the home allowed for a seamless flow between rooms, creating a spacious and comfortable environment. One of the highlights for our family was the basement bunk beds. The kids had an absolute blast spending time in that area. It was a fun and cozy space for them to relax and play. Overall, this home was perfect for our long weekend getaway. It exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, style, and amenities. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable vacation rental experience.
