Maison de plain-pied avec 5 chambres et plus au bord de l’eau, avec vue imprenable et occidentale sur le lac Candlewood. Le lac Candlewood est le plus grand lac du Connecticut. À seulement 70 miles de New York, il n’ya pas de meilleur grand lac aussi proche de la zone à trois états. Grande cour arrière avec un nouveau quai et au moins 20 mètres de votre propre plage de sable fin. Quai privé pour grands bateaux - apportez votre propre bateau ou louez-en un. La rampe de bateau est à 2 minutes. Marque de nouveaux lits, ameublement et planchers. Écran meublé maison. 3 salles de bain complètes. Foyer extérieur au bois ET foyer en été (foyer intérieur au bois en hiver). Garage et parking jusqu'à 8 voitures. Téléviseurs haut de gamme avec système Sonos. Hautement coté des matelas / oreillers Casper et Avocado Green!

Pente indiscernable douce vers le lac depuis le niveau inférieur. La cour arrière est presque de niveau, contrairement à la grande majorité des locations sur ce lac qui nécessitent plusieurs escaliers pour se rendre au lac. La catégorie plate est parfaite pour les invités très jeunes et plus âgés, ainsi que pour les jeux / activités en plein air

Nous acceptons les locations de 5-7 jours à l'été 2019 maintenant.

Le prix varie en fonction du week-end / jour de semaine, des jours fériés et de la saison.

Chambre 1 - Lit en mousse matelassé. Salle de bain privée. 2 - Reine de la mousse. 3- BUREAU - Lit de repos double avec un lit gigogne 4 - 2 lits superposés (4 lits au total) Chambre 5-Queen. Chambre 6 - Reine.

Un escalier à la maison.

Notre maison est sur la côte ouest de Candlewood Shores, une communauté privée sur le lac.

Obtenir ici est le meilleur en voiture. Cependant, Uber / taxi de la station de métro Danbury MetroNorth (18 minutes de route) coûte environ 15 dollars. Brewster et Sotuheast sont les arrêts MetroNorth les plus proches sur la ligne Harlem, à environ 20 minutes et environ 20 dollars. La ligne Harlem est toujours un train direct au départ de la grande gare centrale de Manhattan. La ligne Danbury est soit directe (aux heures de pointe du retour, par exemple), soit nécessite un transfert, dans le sud de Norfolk.

La maison utilise une fosse septique, il est donc déconseillé de prendre de longues douches.

Wonderful experience

3 kids and 6 adults had the best time. We kayak’d, swam, rented a boat, cooked out, fire pit, etc. highly recommend for a relaxing time.

Fantastic for family vacation with small children

The beach with shallow lake to wade/swim in is perfect for kids who are new swimmers/not yet swimmers. Gorgeous property. Owners very responsive. Would definitely book again next year

The house is perfect for families with young children! Doesn't get any better than direct lake access and a small beach. The perfect view for 4th of July fireworks. Did not want to leave !

Candlewood Lake Family Vacation

The home was exactly as advertised. My family felt very comfortable and enjoyed our brief stay. The lakeside location and views were exquisite. Kim and Chris were very easy to work with, communicate with and very accommodating to our schedule. I would highly recommend their home to others.

Checks all the boxes!

We had a wonderful week here! After renting four times on Candlewood Lake, we finally found a house that checks all the boxes for us and our two adult children and their partners (and our priciest to date): 3 comfortable King/Queen beds (and more for guests), 3 full bathrooms, spacious kitchen and common areas. Screened in porch was delightful as was the comfy waterfront furniture under the shaded tree, dock, kayaks and small sandy beach water access. The flat yard is rare on Candlewood and a plus for our elderly parents who came to visit. Central location on the lake was helpful despite the heavy boat traffic on the weekends. Location is ideal for shopping and dining. Only drawback was the septic, a minor annoyance in an otherwise finally appointed home.

Lakeside Luxury

Chris and Amy were terrific hosts, very responsive and attentive! Everything was just as advertised or better! The lake access was fantastic and everything inside was better than one could hope for! Good light, good air, great/comfy beds. We appreciated their accommodation for our family to stay together. Would love to do it again and again and again!!!

Spectacular Lakeside Vacay

We just returned from our Candlewood Lake vacation and couldn’t be happier. We fell in love with the lake and were very happy with our stay at this property. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Fishing off the dock provided hours of entertainment for our 11 year old son and his friend. The house was perfectly located, had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our party of 6 adults and 2 boys. Kim and Chris were great hosts, very responsive and remained in contact throughout our stay.

Heart of Candlewood

The house was roomy and modern, and located at the heart of the lake. We had an excellent view of all the July 4th fireworks. We enjoyed that it was very near the Echo Marina from which we rented a boat just about everyday. We also enjoyed that we were able to walk 2 plus miles each day on flat and quiet streets.

Amazing time!

Our family of 5 and our nanny rented this house for a few weeks this summer. From start to finish, everything was wonderful. We were in communication with the owners, they are kind and responsive and helpful, very nice people. We met the next door neighbor who were very nice as well. We really enjoyed our time at Candlewood, the beach is beautiful and our kids enjoyed swimming and playing in the sand. We fished off the dock with the kids. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and the house fit us very comfortably and everyone had their own room to sleep. The community is beautiful, people are nice and fun and the community beach is clean. We had an amazing time and would love to be back! Thanks for being so kind and making us feel like we were home.

You can’t beat Candlewood Lake in the summer!

Kim and Chris were wonderful hosts - very responsive and proactive with communication. It is hard to beat how beautiful Candlewood Lake is in the summer and this house is a great family base. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out, and kids loved the bunk beds! I loved the expansive views off the living room, screened-in porch and master. Neighborhood was great for morning strolls, and quiet at night. Getting out on the water in the kayak and on the paddle board was awesome, right off the beach! Thank you for the great stay!

Peaceful getaway

This is an absolutely beautiful place. The sunset aligns with the large living room window and the lake. It was such a peaceful and restful getaway from the city, also very safe and quiet. There is a lot of great hiking in the area for all levels. The communication with the owners was straightforward and easy. We said good-bye to 2020 in this wonderful house on the lake and in nature watching the birds. It was perfect.

Great weekend getaway

The view from the main room is just amazing. Even in November we were able to use the kayaks. Lots of great hikes in the area. The house was clean and very spacious.

Terrific family vacation house

The panoramic view of the lake from the living room is a spectacular first impression. And every night we enjoyed family games there. The bunk beds were a big hit, and the dock is so easy to launch from. A level yard, not always the case at Candlewood, made outdoor activities possible.

A truly magical place

I use to be an ocean person my whole life but This place changed me. Wonderful house and location. Rented boats and pulled them up to the house. Went kayaking, relaxed in the sun and ate great food. The owners we super helpful and we definitely want to return.

Wonderful lake house

We stayed here for Thanksgiving with our family and a friends family. We were 4 adults and 4 kids and it slept us all very comfortably. We probably could have slept 4 more kids comfortably. We also exercised the kitchen heavily - it has two ovens and a good layout. And the living room upstairs has a great couch for conversation or watching the big screen. The views of the lake in mid-afternoon are phenomenal.

Amazing Lake house and Perfect for all ages!

What a fantastic week! This house is beautiful. It was so clean and comfortable with many amenities. Lots of space with comfortable bedroom options. As you walk into the home, the open concept and amazing views from to the lake is breathe taking. We so enjoyed the screen in porch too. The views were spectacular, and the water is so clean right off the private beach and excellent dock. We enjoyed many days playing and relaxing at the beautiful lake. We all swam the entire week. The waterfront and excellent dock make it fun jumping off and floating with tubes and noodles. We kayaked around the lake daily, the firepit provided campfire for making smores! Our family really enjoyed the back yard. It was easy to play frisbee and allow us to easily wheel my 93-year-old mother down to the lake. With beautiful trees for her to have shade and enjoy the days with us. I highly recommend this home for a family vacations, as there is plenty of room for everyone. Lastly, the owners are a pleasure to work with and is an outstanding communicator.

Great Lake Getaway

Great location on the lake. Rented a boat for tubing & skiing. Second time for this house. Memories made for me with my kids/grandkids. I had owned a house down the block! Familiar territory!

Relaxing by lake.

Very comfortable home that easily accommodated 8 adults. We never felt on top of each other. The views of the lake was spectacular. We will come again.

Beautiful house beautiful view

We were a group of 12 and this house was perfect for us. Their is plenty of room within the 2 floors to give everyone their space without feeling crowded. It was immediately apparent that the owners put a lot of care into this home as it was well maintained and decorated beautifully. The icing on the cake for us was the amazing view of the lake you get from the large living room window. The pictures in the description are nice but it is not the same as actually seeing it. The view was beautiful. The owners were also great to communicate with and were very accommodating to our requests. The next time we are in the area our entire group would choose to stay here again.

Amazing home with a beautiful view

We had the most amazing weekend at this beautiful home. Not only was the house immaculate but it was decorated beautifully. The kitchen had everything you needed to make a great meal. The dining area which is right off of the kitchen, made entertaining so easy. There was so much space to hang out and so many different seating areas that we never felt crowded. I always have a difficult time sleeping on a strange bed but these beds were so comfortable! Honestly the best beds and pillows of any rental or hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We were 12 people- 3 couples and 6 kids. Each family had their own bedrooms and bathroom. When the kids got too noisy we were able to send them downstairs to play. The house is very kid friendly. On Saturday we hung by the lake and even though the weather is turning the kids were able to put on bathing suits and stick their feet in. In the evening we made s’mores which was a huge hit. I would so love to stay at this house again. It is so peaceful to have a morning coffee admiring the gorgeous view I’ll be dreaming about it for weeks! 5 stars!!!

Great property, GREAT VACATION!

We found this property on a whim and it was still be remodeled when we booked it. We took a gamble with not having current pictures of the property. It worked out great! The house and set up worked well for us. Nice quiet neighborhood. The waterfront is what makes this property the best. It is flat walkout to the water. This was crucial for us as we had little kids and elderly with us. The beach was small but very nice. It has a great dock. It does get busy with boat traffic but the swimming area was well protected by the large dock. Kayaks and a paddle board were provided and we enjoyed them a lot. Owners were great to work with. Very accommodating and helpful. They would check in periodically during our stay. They don’t have cable, they have Netflix and To be honest we never needed the TV anyway as we had so much fun without it. Beds were comfortable and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get away at Candlewood Lake!
