We overpaid around 3,000 for our unit. The unit itself was nice but the beach was full of stinky dead fish due to red tide and the property didnât clean it up until after 6 days. So basically lost out on 6 days of beach time. Very disappointed in our property management.
The property was as described. It was very well maintained and decorated. Itâs close proximity to the beach was awesome! We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
Beautiful access and spot on Siesta Key beach, location was perfect, close to the Village and downtown Sarasota. Everything was as advertised and the whole process of check in and out was very smooth. Would definitely stay there again!
Great place, clean, beach was was clean, only 4 stars for overall is due to only having one elevator, and it broke down, and we were on the 7th floor, but credit due to having it fixed in a day, maybe 2.
Smartly decorated with everything that you would need. Great location with trolly stop across the street and quite a few restaurants within walking distance. Only limitation is limited cabinet space if you were planning to cook often.
The unit is excellent. Itâs updated and looks just like the pictures. Crescent Beach on Siesta Key is also unmatched. Weâve been going there for 15 years and itâs always amazing.
Only two negatives. Crescent Arms, the condo the unit is in, has implemented a bizarre system where you have to stand in line at 7:30 in the morning or you donât get beach chairs. Not sure why they did this as getting beach chairs was never a problem before. Also, the management company will send you conflicting information, so be careful and confirm with them whatâs accurate and what isnât.
Elevator broke down twice in my one week stay! My husband has heart issues and he had to walk up and down 7 floors each time elevator wasnât working! The property only has one very slow elevator for so many units! The property needs updated the inside walk ways look dirty and blah! The unit itself was clean and nicely decorated! Nice view but just to inconvenient for what I was looking forward to!
Unit was aesthetically well put together. 1st 3 days there were issues, ceiling fan and light not working AC stopped, issue with electrical outlet that thw sofa dis not recline and the lamp.came.in and off by itself. Maintenance person went into bathroom and used toliet without loweri g the seat a d left urine.on the toliet.
Enjoyed our stay at this newly renovated property. High quality features and plenty of storage. The bedrooms were large, one king room and the other room with 2 queen beds. Bathrooms were well appointed. Great kitchen with lots of extras.
A nice surprise was that there were beach floats in the closet to use and lots of beach towels. Beach chairs were provided at no cost by checking in with "the Beach guy" each morning. We rented an umbrella from him for the week for $90 and it was set up for us at our requested area each morning. The beach was gorgeous and well maintained by the property.
The location was perfect even if you did not have a car as the trolley into Siesta Key ran regularly and a stop was right across the street.
The Tropical Sands property management company was very helpful and answered all our questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the amenities provided in the unit despite the 6 occupant description. We did question the management and were told that the quantities were correct. Linens for a 3 bed/2bath unit were 1 bathmat, 8 towels, 6 washcloths, 4 hand towels, 2 blankets in winter for 3 beds,2 dishcloths, no potholders and 1 set of sheets for each bed. A small towel load incurs 7.50 to wash and dry, as well as 2 hrs. We experienced both plumbing and loss of heat problems twice requiring space heaters which incurred several maintenance days as well as balcony painting. There is not a way to prevent maintenance staff from entering the unit while you might be in shower, etc., very uncomfortable. The exterior walkway lights shine through the 3 windows even into the main bedroom. Better light blocking window coverings are needed. The shaky elevator and entrance is in dire need of updating and deodorizing. We visited other facilities that were cleaned up after the hurricane despite ongoing repairs. We encountered significant delays on our departure Saturday due to the one elevator tied up by the cleaning crew and their use of the very limited "shopping carts" meant for tenant transport. The management company also needs to provide the parking access code in advance to the renters. We enjoyed the view but felt that the overall experience was disappointing given the costs. We have never submitted a review with so many issues prior to this experience.
This unit is beautiful but Crescent Arms is not great
The condo itself was fantastic. Some issues preventing me from staying here again: Crescent Arms is a gated community that refuses to allow golf carts. This made my trip much harder because I booked a cart for the week as our primary mode of transportation. Nothing in this ad nor communications with the property management company mentioned this. I even asked about parking the cart on-site and I was assured there was 1 parking space for the condo. The ad does not mention that there is not a washer/dryer in the unit. There is a shared laundry room on each floor, that requires $2.50 worth of quarters for washing and drying. This is ridiculous! The money paid for the rental should come with free laundry! The machines don't even take credit cards so you have to get quarters from the front desk (when they're open) or drive around Sarasota looking for a coin machine or begging some cashier for change. The washing machine also malfunctioned after taking my money and would not give it back. Very annoying after a long day at the beach. Additionally, there is one elevator that is very slow. Try not to book the 7th floor or you will be spending a lot of your vacation waiting for it. Lastly, the check-in process did not include the code required for the main gate, just the room itself. I had to beg the condo management for the code. They did not want to give it to me for security reasons, and after the management company did not answer the phone - they gave it to me out of pity.
The renovated property was a beautiful place to stay and comfortable for my family. The screened in balcony was a great place to sit and relax with your morning coffee before going to the beach. The private beach was not crowded so beach chairs were always available. The location made it easy to walk to restaurants and close to grocery stores in Sarasota. Definitely worth staying at again.
