Work from home while you soak in the brand-new hydrotherapy spa with high-speed wifi. Enjoy spectacular views of the leaves changing on Stratton Mountain at this newly renovated chalet perched on the top of a hill in Winhall, VT.
Three comfortable bedrooms are located on the first floor. On the second floor, there is a beautiful loft-style living space with vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, a dining room, and a brand-new, fully stocked kitchen. The home has a large wrap-around deck with views of Stratton Mountain, a brand-new Weber grill, a second outdoor floating deck with a hot tub and a stone patio area with a firepit.
Two of the bedrooms have queen-size beds (Beautyrest and Casper mattresses), and one has a full-size bed (Beautyrest mattress). The bedrooms are approximately 11 x 10 feet and have a beautiful, clean aesthetic, each with its own vibe. A queen-size air mattress by Serta is also available.
The top floor has largely been renovated and has a lovely, professionally designed living room with a wood-burning fireplace. There is plenty of wood which is complementary and we also stock fire-starters for your stay. There is a workspace area in the living room that has a comfortable desk and chair and a wireless printer.
There is a fully-stocked and well equipped, brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a Bosch dishwasher. Our *new* modern bathroom has heated floors, a walk-in shower, and a new washer dryer set located on the first floor. There is also a renovated half-bathroom with a toilet and sink on the upper level.
Outside there is a new Breeo stainless steel firepit which is wonderful to sit by as it's about 95% smokeless and outdoor Jenga. There is a new Weber grill which is a delight to cook on.

Favorite Things to Do in the Area in Fall 2024:
The home is a wonderful place to stay for Manchester VT weddings and for visiting the Manchester VT outlets. Eddie Bauer, Vineyard Vines, Theory, Kate Spade, Marimekko, Ralph Lauren are just a few of the great outlets in the own. Be sure to stop by Mrs. Murphy's Donuts while in Manchester Center.
Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home in Manchester, VT, is fun to visit. It's an incredible property with a goat farm and you can spend all day walking the grounds. Equinox Preservation Trust has great trails that wrap around a pond and there is a nice hike to Robin's lookout. Lye Brook Falls is another favorite and we also highly recommend stopping by the Southern Vermont Arts Center in a beautiful Georgian mansion. If you are into fly fishing, you'll want to stop by the American Museum of Fly Fishing. For fine dining, be sure to make a reservation in advance at Silver Fork or definitely try out the Reluctant Panther. The chalet is also a great place for equestrian events. Emerland Lake State Park is a beautiful park in East Dorset with hiking trails, a beach, a picnic area, boat rentals and a lake that guests can kayak in.
We have had many wonderful families stay with us, but the home is not child-proof and the home is furnished with several glass tables (the kitchen table has soft corners) and a stone fireplace.
We allow small, hypoallergenic pets, subject to an additional fee of $85 per night per pet, with a maximum allowance of 2 pets. A request for the pet fee will be sent after the booking is confirmed. We do not allow dogs that are too young or aren't well trained, as they are more apt to scratch/damage the house/furniture.
Air conditioning - The top floor has air conditioning, and the bottom floor stays cool even when temperatures reach the 90s because the home was built on a concrete slab. Additionally, cool air from the upstairs air conditioner helps to keep the downstairs cool. The bedrooms do not have individual air conditioning units but stay comfortable even when it’s hot.
