Very quiet location. Beds were comfortable and the cottage was very clean. The host was very hospitable and easy to get a hold of. We had a very relaxing week.
The property was just as described. The view was amazing. It was great that we could bring our dog with us. The personal touches were so nice. We could have stayed another week! Dave was very responsive. We definitely will be booking another stay. Thank you!!
My wife and I had the most peaceful and relaxing long weekend in years! Everything about Davidâs house was perfect. We especially enjoyed having coffee each morning in the screened-in porch and later relaxing by the fire pit and enjoying the spectacular views. We canât wait to return!
This house was perfect for our weekend getaway! Beautiful views, clean and quiet. David made sure we had everything we needed! There isnât an oven or a microwave so you have to plan your meals accordingly but other than that this place is highly recommended and we will definitely be back!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this property. We were blessed with lovely weather and in the evenings there was always a cool breeze blowing down the mountains. The home was set up well with a nicely stocked kitchen (stovetop only, no oven), fluffy towels in the bathroom and nice bedding. We especially enjoyed the outside firepit. We were easily about to cook steaks and local corn with the host-supplied grate and firewood. Definitely would recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was clean, had everything we needed for a quiet getaway in the mountains. There were nice touches that made our stay a little easier (snacks, supplies for a fire, coffee!). The house is older and there are ongoing renovations but that did not impact our stay. The screened in porch was our favorite with beautiful views.
My 14 year old daughter and I used the home as a base for the soccer tournament we were attending in Manchester. The home, itself, was perfect for what we needed for our housing needs. The home, bedding, and towels were clean. Snacks, smores, and coffee were waiting for us when we arrived, which was a nice touch. The owner was prompt and easy to communicate with. I brought my gravel bike up and he even provided me with some possible ideas for routes to ride in intel to local cut-throughs to Manchester on my bike. The only issues I had were on me. It was far from our tournament locations so we basically left early in the morning and got back late at night. Also, there is a large air fryer/microwave instead of an oven and I couldn't sort out how to use it even with the manual left behind. I'm sure it was a me thing. This is a nice home in a tucked away part of the Manchester area. The views and grounds are great.
What a quaint little cottage to stay in for our first Vermont ski trip. It was close enough to the ski resorts for convenience, but far enough away from the chaos to enjoy a truly relaxing getaway (especially with kids in tow). This home had all the amenities - plenty of room to sleep and hang out, lots of outdoor space, wood burning stove for added comfort, and even little conveniences left by the home owner (like bathroom essentials and snacks). We truly felt at home for our brief stay and will absolutely be back. 10 out of 10 for us!
We had a family reunion in town and needed a place to sleep. It was great to have a beautiful clean home with everything we needed. Easy check in and the host even let us check out later then the usual 11 am. The view was amazing!!! We would love to rent again next time!! Thank you!!
From the time we got there to the time we left, we very much enjoyed Davidâs home. He was a wonderful host! Although we didnât get to enjoy a fire in the pit, my daughter figured out how to make the sâmores in the air fryer! The coffeemaker was a very welcome appliance! lol. Canât wait to book this again!
The place was adorable! The owner was extremely nice- easy directions to get in & had everything we needed! They left us coffee, granola bars sâmores fixings and even dog treats! : ) There was a helpful list of hikes & restaurants posted.
The screened in porch always lovely! The place was much roomier than expected. It was about 30 min. from Manchester, which was also fun! My family loved this place & we would definitely come again. Thank you for a great weekend away!
We enjoyed our stay here. The host was kind and communicative, he left sâmores fixins, coffee, juice, and logs for the fire pit. The beds were a little firm for my liking, but not bad or cheap feeling, just on the firm side. Plenty of comfortable pillows and towels provided. The place was clean, yes there were some bugs inside (I saw in an earlier review that was a complaint) but it wasnât gross or any amount that you wouldnât expect in any rural cabin getaway. Modern appliances, there is a stovetop range to cook on, just no oven to bake which wasnât a problem for us. Comfortable living room area, wifi worked well (a little weak signal in the master bedroom but good everywhere else) AC units cooled the house well. Plenty of outlets. Screen porch was lovely to have meals on. Overall I would recommend, I would stay here again.
The area was beautiful, we really enjoyed the piece and quiet while at the house. Enjoyed coffee on the screened porch and drinks by the fire pit. The sunrise was spectacular to watch!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. David was so accommodating, even with my last-minute booking, and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The house is comfortable and well-kept with spectacular views and was exactly what we were looking for during our weekend in Vermont.
Cute home that was clean and had everything we needed. The view from the property was beautiful seeing the fall colors. Did have a problem with the water heater, but David was quick to respond to remedy the situation.
Arrived in the dark with no lights on- steep hill. Linens were not washed! No washer/dryer on property. Bugs- big spiders in the bedroom. Electric fireplace didnât work, when asked it was awaiting a part. No house manual- heat didnât always work. No fire wood as promised..No curtainâs especially in bedroom. Microwave freaked out while trying to heat up food- so complex & no manual. This place is super remote & forget internet. It isnât a place that is ready for guest. Beautiful hill view. Creepy as Can be with no curtains & neighbors. Remote!! Who doesnât wash bedding?!????
Upon arrival the front steps were broken and unsafe. The smell of mildew hit us as soon as opening the door. There were open containers and left over food in the unclean refrigerator and freezer. The beds were obviously slept in and linens were dirty. There were no towels in the home. And there was a large addition that was under construction attached to the upstairs. We stayed long enough (5 minutes) to book a room at a lovely hotel in Manchester. Only good thing is that our money was refunded promptly.
I am from NJ, so getting up to this house is a great relaxing and so relaxingâŠI have a couple of motorcycles and mountain bikes to enjoy off road riding and great trail cycling.
Beautiful Mountain Views, private with Green River running through the property, great home base for cycling or motorcycle adventures. Very peaceful but still close to Manchester.
