Cozy, super-clean cabin minutes from Lake Superior & the Porkies!

CJ's "cabin" is located in the old mining town of White Pine. About 5 miles from the lake, it's the perfect base camp to explore the UP, hike the Porcupine Mountains, hunt agates on the beach or just relax. Most of the homes in White Pine were built as identical "company houses", but CJ's has been remodeled with raised ceilings and wood paneling for the rustic, cozy feel of a cabin retreat. The master sleeps two on a queen Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattress. The small bedroom sleeps one and the foldout sofa in the living room sleeps two kids or one adult.

Our mission is to provide you with the cleanest, coziest place to relax - a place that feels more like a home away from home than a rental. We have both a Keurig coffee machine and a drip pot. K-cups are provided. There is a new grill and propane is provided. Both the refrigerator and shower water are filtered and you don't have to worry about bringing your own shampoo or bath products; all the bedding and towels are new and we pride ourselves on fast communication to help you with whatever you need.

CJ's is just minutes from the Konteka Black Bear Lounge and snowmobile trails, and a short drive will take you on beautiful adventures exploring the Porcupine Mountains or to the beach. Please note: The property IS NOT on Lake Superior. White Pine is about a 5 minute drive from the lake.

If you want to stream and chill or game after exploring the area, we have 500 Mbps Internet with Roku and Sling, so just be sure to bring your login/password info for whatever apps you use.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: For those who have stayed with us before or those of you reading the reviews, the PRIVATE BEACH WILL NOT be available in 2026.

Bins from garage should be taken to curb Tuesday morning by 8AM if it falls during your stay. All garbage must be bagged and in bins.
Due to sanitary precautions, the Jacuzzi jets have been turned off since the water can not be chlorinated for safety in the same way a hot tub can.
Dogs should not be left alone in the house for long periods of time. It's dog heaven in the UP, so please take them with you!

We had a wonderful vacation here! The location was perfect for all the activities we wanted to do, and having a fully stocked kitchen with all the necessary appliances and utensils made it so convenient. We especially enjoyed grilling outside and watching the family of deer in the backyard—it was such a special touch. The kids loved winding down with family board games after full days of outdoor adventures. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was truly a great experience!

This is the coziest, welcoming place. Everything was perfect! I had explained that we were coming for my husbands birthday and they had a cake and candles waiting when we arrived! What an amazing surprise! The owners go above and beyond for their guests. This is the best place we have ever stayed at. It is seriously a home away from home. If i could give it a hundred stars i would.

Great little place!

We made a last minute decision to get out of the 95 degree temps in Indy and booked this place last minute. What a find! It’s the cleanest vacation rental we’ve ever stayed! Bed is super comfy and plenty of water pressure. Overall the perfect little cabin for a get away. Kitchen has literally everything you’d need (not a lot of choices for eating out close so we cooked a lot) and the temps up there in June are perfect. The pic is from the private beach that’s included.

Wonderful home

This was a fantastic home. There was absolutely nothing that I would change about this place. Its central location around several of the local landmarks, as well as the guest book with recommendations, made for a great trip and way to learn about the surrounding communities. The host was very easy to reach and extremely helpful. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable, but the private beach was one of the biggest highlights. Overall, a fantastic experience.

As a native of of White Pine, I'm excited to open up our home which is just a few miles away from Lake Superior and the Porcupine Mountains. From agate hunting to skiing the Porkies, jumping off the Bonanza (Greenwoods to the locals) waterfalls to snowmobiling, I've had many adventures in the U.P. I'll never forget... and hope you do the same!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Part of the charm of White Pine is the "cookie cutter" suburban layout of matching homes. This company house, however, has been completely remodeled inside with raised, wooden ceilings for a more individual, rustic feel, and all the beds have brand new sheets, blankets, comforters and pillows. No musty bedding or towels! The driveway will be cleared for snowmobile trailers and trucks in the winter.
