Spacious FAMILY FRIENDLY home beautifully decorated with African art.

Enjoy a spacious, private family home, in a diverse community with your quiet host (me, Sophia) living next door & ready to answer questions or help as needed. Your family will share our yard. I've decorated with colorful art and crafts from my family's travels on 3 continents & aim to provide the amenities we enjoyed at our favorite places. We often host families with young children and can provide toys, games, pack n play crib, stroller, booster seats and more. And we provide lots of beach supplies. STREET PARKING ONLY.

This 100 year old modernly updated home in a historic residential neighborhood is your family's private space. A modern kitchen to meet the needs of the most demanding cook. Relax on the swings in the sunroom and in spacious living room. You'll share the yard with me, my partner and my brother. We live in other homes on the 1/4 acre property.

In our walkable neighborhood, you are 4 blocks from Retro Row, with quaint shops, a global choice of restaurants and the historic Art Theater.

Street paring only June-August 2023. Rental bicycles and scooters available nearby. Disneyland is about a half hour drive east; Hollywood and Santa Monica 45-75 minutes in the opposite direction. A public bus on the next block will take you to the sometimes-reliable LA Metro System. But our favorite way to get around is on foot.

Other things to note
We love our diverse neighborhood as a welcoming place for visitors of all races, nationalities, gender identities. We STRICTLY forbid smoking of all kinds anywhere on the property. Out of respect for neighbors, we do not allow parties and we ask that guests observe a quiet time from 10pm to 8am.

Great stay!

This property is really well equipped, in fact probably the best equipped we've stayed at! It is thoughtfully and tastefully maintained, and we had a great stay as a family of 4. Steve was very accommodating and always available when we needed anything. We definitely plan to stay again when we visit in the future!

Very comfortable and great host

My teen boys and I enjoyed our visit to Long Beach, the house was an added bonus. They hosted a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a very clean house. We will return again if ever headed to Long Beach.

My family and I had a great time during our stay. The owner, Steve, was very communicative and helpful, making it a stress-free experience. The home was clean, inviting, and had everything you need for a good stay and then more! The owners were most considerate of guests and we all look forward to another opportunity to stay here again.

Simply Amazing

We stayed at Vision of Africa in July 2023. The owners are extremely kind and very helpful. The house has a great flow (we were 8) and was very well equipped. Lots of very nice attentions with supplies and all the labelling made it easy to find everything. Beds are comfortable and the house is located in a vey nice neighbourhood. I would stay there again!

We offer everything we needed traveling with our children when they were young. Snacks & breakfast foods; strollers, Pack-n-play crib, toys & games and more.

Each room is designed with comfort and beauty in mind, drawing on the best of our experiences traveling in Europe, Africa and North America.

Family members living nearby respond quickly to every guest inquiry or request for needed household supplies when that's needed and, at all other times, respect the privacy you will enjoy in your spacious home-away-from-home.

One of our daughters is an experienced babysitter sometimes available to look after guests' children for a reasonable fee.
