Insta Ready Meets Modern Comfort - Stylish 2BD/2BA
Brightly colored serene 2BDR/2BA in the heart of the city. Located less than 7 minutes from downtown and right off the Mardi Gras parade route!
Our beautiful home is 90 years young, vibrant, pristine, and ready for your insta photos! This gem is a perfect blend of historic New Orleans charm with newly renovated and modern finishes mixed in. Also, located 5 blocks from St. Charles Avenue and the renowned streetcar line.
I spend a lot of time in New Orleans, and this has quickly become my new favorite short term rental option. Location could not be better, hosts were incredibly amenable and responsive, and the home itself could not be more comfortable and inviting.
The unit was just as advertised. The decor was immaculate and everything in the pictures and more! The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for the four adults we had for our trip. The unit was close enough in walking distance to St. Charles street and easy to get to other places if you have a car. The parking was street parking, but we never had an issue finding parking right outside the unit. I walked through the neighborhood each morning and felt safe but Iâm talking to the locals they advised to be in alert when it was dark. We were surprised that there was little to no closer or drawer space, there was hanging racks with limited hangers in each bedroom, but was a bit lacking for 4 grown adults for 7 days. The in unit washer and dryer was non-functional but that was well communicated before our stay.
I love how communicative the owner was before during and after our stay! They gave us great insight about what to expect about the unit prior to our stay and gave us some very helpful resources for places to eat and see at the beginning of our trip.
Working with Rebekah was very easy. She quickly responded to my questions. Ensured our check in was uneventful and our expectations were met. The home was beautiful and met our needs. It was close enough to the street car line and made getting around very easy but, you must be able to walk a few blocks. You could also Uber at very reasonable rates because you are close enough to downtown. It was nice to leave the city and return to the quieter Garden district at night. The only disappointment was not having access to the washer/dryer. Let's face it, after sweating all day, your clothes are anything but fresh. Bring a compression bag for your dirty clothes. It would have been nice to return home with clean clothes. I feel I have to say something about the neighborhood because some of the homes have not been repaired since Katrina. It's a little alarming at first but you soon realize it's safe to walk, the neighbors were kind, and the disrepair is due to the hurricanes New Orleans has to endure.
Clean and comfortable with limited space for clothes
Newly redone, great deco, very clean and well-kept. Living room and kitchen have plenty of room to move around. The seating in LR is a large wide couch-4 friendly folks could all fit for a movie. The kitchen is fully functional and you could definitely cook and do meal prep here.
Bedrooms have very little storage and would be a big challenge with 4 people. Main BR has a large, comfortable bed with an end table on either side, room to move around on either side. There is a small valet stand that can hold 3-4 hangers (although there were none during our visit, even though we asked for them after we arrived) but no other storage. The closets and cupboards are all locked and cannot be used, so the only place to put your clothes is the small bedside stand, the 3-4 things you can hang on the valet stand or sitting on top of the small side table that is meant to act as a desk. The 2nd bedroom is very tight with no storage (except for the valet stand w not hangers). 2 people staying here for a week was fine because we could use the 2nd bedroom to lay our clothes out on the bed, but 4 people would have been way too crowded with not enough space for clothing and toiletries. I would strongly recommend the owners allow some kind of closet space in both bedrooms as well as the smaller bathroom.
