Victorian Shotgun | Near French Quarter + CBD!
Stay in this Historic Victorian New Orleans Shotgun! Home has 2 independent bedrooms with 2 king beds, 2 full futons (linens available upon request), and 2 bathrooms (one with shower/tub and one with walk-in shower). The remodeled kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. The house is centrally located to all of New Orleans most popular amenities. 10 min drive to the French Quarter and less than 5 mins to downtown and the Superdome!
This historic, beautifully-renovated double shotgun home is the perfect centrally-located spot for your New Orleans adventure! You'll have one whole side of the duplex (there are long-term tenants that live on the other side), and have access to everything in the home, including the backyard with outdoor seating, fig trees, and string lights!
The entire home was completely remodeled within the last few years, and while it maintains its historic charm, it's outfitted with all of the modern comforts! The home features an open floor plan, complete with two bedrooms with TV's and two bathrooms, a full kitchen, in-unit washer & dryer, a workspace, a living room with TV and plenty of comfortable seating, and an outdoor space!

Please note that while we do allow up to 4 guests, there are only two actual bedrooms. Guests may also use the fold-out couches in the living room. If you plan to use these, please let us know so we can make sure there are extra linens available for you.
Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we've never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!
There is no parking included with the home, but there is ample street parking in the area, and we almost never have an issue parking right in front of the home.
Information Required by Local Laws: This home is not ADA-compliant. There are several steps to enter the home from ground level. There is a noise monitoring device in the home (required by law) that registers decibel levels but has no actual recording capability. There are exterior security cameras on the home for our safety and yours. These do not record any interior spaces of the home, just the exterior, and are active at all times. Permits: 23-CSTR-04359, 22-OSTR-08383
You'll have access to everything in the home, including the outdoor space.
We're available 24 hours a day via text or call for any needs that may arise during your stay!
Our home is located in the Tulane-Gravier neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city of New Orleans. You'll be just over a mile from the French Quarter and you're in a great central location to explore everything else around the city!
Some of our local favorite spots and nearby attractions are:
Chapter IV (lunch), Mais Arepa (cerda and sangria- favorite restaurant in the city), Bakery Bar (dessert, drinks, and great food), Barrell Proof, Melbaâs (hot plate, po-boys), Trilly Cheesesteak, Motherâs, Parkway, Ruby Slipper (brunch), Coffee Science, Huey P's Pizza, Central City BBQ, Mandinaâs (seafood), Katieâs (Delta Queen) City Park, Neyowâs, Bayou Beer Garden, Wrong Iron, Marjies, Dog House, Willa Jean, Couvant, Flamingo a Gogo, Beachbum Barryâs, Maspero, Flour Moon Bagels on Lafitte Greenway, & Antoine.
The nearest Streetcar stop is about a half mile northeast at Canal & Tonit, nearest grocery store is Trader Joe's (less than 2 blocks away) and Whole Foods or Rouse's Downtown - less than a mile away. The Superdome & Smoothie King Center are less than a mile away (you can see it from the upstairs bedroom) and the Saenger Theater, Aquarium, River Walk, WW2 museum, and City Park are all less than two miles from the home.
Ubers and Lyfts are easy to come by here at all times. If you brought your own car, there's free street parking around the home that's always easy to find. And there's a streetcar stop about a half mile from the house.
***There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile.
2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4.Clean towels are a provided amenity, there is a washer and dryer in the unit if you need a refresh!
5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee.
6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. As of May 2022, all rental platforms have specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from the platform.
7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels. There are makeup towels provided for this use.
9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
10. Pets are NOT allowed at this listing. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request.
11. After youâve read these rules, please send me a message with the words âyellow kangarooâ it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from âLocalsâ at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. Trash & recycling is picked up on Thursday.
17. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.
18. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it's possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested after your additional time has been approved.
19. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. Â This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.
