This cozy unit is a half of a newly remodeled duplex that is situated on Shelter Cove Golf Course next to the runway and has a clear view of the Pacific Ocean. Watch airplanes take off and land. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the front porch. Take a short walk to the beach. This is your ultimate retreat to get away from busy life!

This is a 2-story 1100 sq ft unit with private entrance and a deck overlooking golf course, runway and the ocean. You walk into an open space with sitting/ TV area, dining area, half bath and a compact well-equipped kitchen with brand new appliances. Second floor has 2 bedrooms (one with king, another with queen and twin beds) and a full bathroom with a shower. Perfect for a family of 4-5, group of friends or 2 couples. Roku TV in each bedroom to keep up with your favorite TV series and movies. Large capacity washer and dryer located in the garage. There is a set of golf clubs if you forgot yours or want to give golfing a try, it is only 2 steps away!

Shelter Cove remains one of the most secluded places on the coast. It may take some extra effort to get here, but it's definitely worth it. Shelter Cove does not have public transportation or ride sharing. All major amenities are within walking distance.

Nearby amenities include: Gyppo Brewery and Restaurant is right down the street (4 min walk), Shelter Cove RV Campground store and Deli (0.25 mile), Shelter Cove General Store (2.3 mile), Delgada Pizza and Bakery (4 min drive, 18-minute walk), Venezuelan Restaurant (4 min drive, 17 min walk). Scenic nearby destinations include Cape Mendocino Lighthouse (5-minute walk), Black Sands beach (5 min drive, 20-minute walk).

Feel like driving a little further and seeing more of Humboldt County? Avenue of the Giants is a historic drive along the world-famous Redwood trees, some of which over 1000 years old. You can also drive through a Redwood Tree at the Myers Flat drive-thru tree. Visit the historic Benbow Inn for a fancy dinner just about one hour from Shelter Cove.

Shelter Cove is one of the Most Under Used Fishing Spots in California with Some of the Best Variety of Fishing: Albacore, Halibut, Salmon, Rock cod, Lingcod, Crab and more!!! There are charter fishing boats with unique experience offered in Shelter Cove as well as boat ramp and fish cleaning station.

Shelter Cove Perfect Getaway

The place was easy to find. The entry system was very easy to use. The house had EVERYTHING we needed. It was decorated so cute. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of coffee and creamers. And she had kleenex placed all around. Being close to the gold course and landingstrp was NOT a problem, we didn't hear any noise. I would stay here again for sure!

Wonderful place to stay

The place was immaculate and Kira the owner/manager was very good about emailing check-in and check-out instructions as well as asking if everything was going ok. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

Oceanview Retreat

This is a spacious two story townhouse, one of two units in the building. There were just two of us, but it would easily accomodate a family of five or two couples, and it includes a garage. The view from the back deck and house windows is amazing, and we saw many deer grazing on the grass below. The unit is very well furnished and equipped. It feels more like a home than many of these vacation rentals do nowadays .Kira, the manager, was very accessible and kept us well informed.

Great Location and Nice View!

We stayed here for three nights after backpacking the Lost Coast Trail, and it was the perfect vacation home for us to relax after our backpacking trek. It is within walking distance of a few restaurants and cafes, the light house, and the airport, and it had all the amenities that we needed. We would stay here again!

Peaceful and Beautiful

Really loved this peaceful place! The two chairs on the front porch were such a nice way to look at and hear the waves on the ocean. Check in was super easy, the place was clean and comfy! I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect family getaway

Perfect home in a beautiful little town. We were traveling with our two young adult sons and small dog. The house was perfect for our family. Kira is a terrific and responsive host. The home is clean, comfortable, very attractive, and fully equipped with everything you would need. We would love to visit again.

We absolutely love this place, the owner, and the location.

This little home is bright and cheerful, very clean, and comfortable. We are planning on renting this place every year. Kira was very pleasant to talk to, and checked in on us to make sure we were good.

Wonderful Place

We appreciated everything about this stay. The owner’s care and attention to detail were obvious from the tasteful decor, to the well stocked kitchen, to the overall cleanliness, to her communication. The location was perfect for us and we enjoyed getting to explore Shelter Cove. We were impressed with the weather and our ability to sit out on the deck morning and evening. Our dogs were able to stay with us and enjoyed watching the deer and golfers from the deck. Thanks for such a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Clean & Convenient at The Cove

This duplex property is great! Very clean and recently renovated. It’s conveniently located near the airport and a local restaurant just off the main loop with off street and garage parking. It was quiet, we only heard music from the local brewery and the chatter of locals at the community horse shoe pits with our windows open at night - this didn’t bother us one bit and provided a little buzz to the small sea side town on the weekend. Everyone turned in at a respectable hour. Great views! Ocean, adorable homes, airport, fog, deer, golf course - so much to soak in with a morning cup of coffee or afternoon beer on the porch. Well stocked home - games, snacks, coffee, blankets, bbq, chest freezer, bikes, washer/dryer, hose for sandy feet and more! We brought two small children, currently the home does not have a tub or baby gate for stairs so we planned and packed accordingly. Plenty of room to play downstairs and Roku TV and WiFi for wind-down time or morning cartoons. We barely heard our neighbors in the duplex next door - let’s be honest with two kids I’m always worried we’re the loud ones! The duplex setup feels so private. Kira was so responsive and accommodating. A wonderful host with a great property. We hope to return again!

Great Oceanview and close to beach!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Very close walk to the Ocean. We have been going to Shelter Cove for years either camping or staying in a hotel. Very nice to have a fully equipped kitchen. We will definitely return!

Hidden Gem - worth the drive!

The house is fantastic! Location great! This home is beautifully decorated in a minimalistic fashion that is as freeing as the ocean waves themselves. (Maybe it's because I live in a constant state of clutter?) We also really appreciated the fact that the pans were in good shape and the knives were sharp - that might sounds like a weird observation but we ALWAYS travel with a knife sharpener now. Beds were comfy too.

I am a private pilot. I flew into Shelter Cove a few years ago and was absolutely captivated by pristine beauty of this place. I've always wanted to own a house on the coast where I can just fly in and finally the dream came true. I would like other people to discover this amazing place and to enjoy it as much as I do.
