Aloha and welcome to our charming 1 bedroom Maui condo! Just a block from the ocean! Walk to Charley Young and Kalama Beach Parks—two of Maui’s best beaches. Shop, restaurants, and gear rentals are all nearby. Decorated in island style, this peaceful retreat has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Gift cert for sunset cruise with a 14+ day stay!

Enjoy the on-property swimming pool, barbecue, and picnic area after a day in the sun. Whether you prefer dining indoors at the table for two, relaxing with barstool seating on the lanai, or eating al fresco near the covered BBQ area by the pool, you’ll find the perfect setting to unwind.

For your comfort and pleasure, the bedroom features a queen bed adorned with Martha Stewart Collection Maui Medallion Cotton Quilts, Charter Club Damask Queen 550-thread-count 100% Supima Cotton sheets, and Ralph Lauren Classic 100% Cotton Blankets. We also provide Martha Stewart Collection bath towels, as well as beach and kitchen towels.

The condo also includes a queen-size sofa bed in the living area, which is tastefully decorated in island-style with tropical accents. You’ll find a loveseat, small writing desk, and a well-appointed entertainment setup with a large TV, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration.

While Maui`s trade winds often provide a lovely natural breeze, the unit also features air conditioning and ceiling fans to help maintain a cool and comfortable environment during warmer days.

The fully equipped kitchen is ready for home-cooked meals and beachside snacks. It includes Corelle dishware, silverware, assorted pots and pans, a coffee maker, tea kettle, mugs, and glasses, along with BBQ tools. Appliances include a range with oven, microwave, brand-new dishwasher, and a full-size refrigerator.

There is ample cabinet space for your groceries and supplies. For convenience, Safeway, Times, Foodland, and Hawaiian Moon are all within a five-minute drive. If you prefer to stock up before settling in, Costco, Target, and Walmart are located just 20 minutes away in Kahului.

For your convenience, the unit comes with a starter supply of essentials, including hand soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper. Please note that any additional supplies needed during your stay will be your responsibility.

You’ll find a Welcome Book in the unit with helpful information about Maui, along with important details about the condo, including house rules and check-out instructions.

Kalama Terrace is a peaceful, small residential resort offering free assigned parking and a shared pool for tenants and guests. A laundry room is available on-site and operates via a mobile app for easy use.
Please note: there is no elevator on the property—stairs must be used to access the unit.

You are entirely on your own in this sweet condo; the unit is privately owned and managed by Maui Rental Connections.

Kalama Terrace is a rarity in South Kihei: It is far enough away from busy South Kihei Rd so as not be affected by the street noise but still remaining close to Kamaole One/Charlie Young Beach and Cove Park - Kiheis` top surf and boogie boarding spot, and many shops and services. Kalama Terrace has a recently renovated pool area with mature vegetation and swaying palm trees overhead. It has gas barbecues and a dining area among the lush landscaping near the pool.

Another rarity in Maui is that Kalama Terrace is a smoke-free complex, so guests can enjoy the freedom of breathing the clean and fragrant Hawaiian air throughout their stay! Kalama Terrace is also a very eco-friendly complex. All hot water is heated by the solar panels on the roof, it has many fruit trees including an herb garden which guests are welcome to use to spice up their home cooked meals! Kalama Terrace also has a recycling program and a 147kw electric solar system that will provide almost 100% of the electrical needs of the entire complex!

Kalama Terrace is a 25-minutes drive from Kahului airport.
We recommend you rent a car; you have an assigned parking space.
There are restaurants, shops and a convenience store within walking distance. Of course, there are taxis and Uber too!

Please, no smoking is permitted on the lanai. Violations will incur a fine if onsite management gives warning.

At Kalama Terrace, Eco friendly solar systems provide all the hot water and most other electrical needs.

Garbage: Dumpster is located in the parking lot. Please dispose of all of your trash before you depart.

GUEST RENTAL AGREEMENT – Haleakala Shores A206

1. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT - Check-in time is 4 p.m. Hawaii time & Check-out time is 11 a.m. Hawaii time. Late check-out will result in an additional charge unless arrangement are made IN WRITING.

2. NO SMOKING - This is a NON-SMOKING unit.

3. NO PETS - Pets are not permitted

4. Hawaii State Taxes: the tax rate is always subject to change, by the State of Hawaii. We are mandated to collect these taxes and pay them. Therefore, if the tax rate changes prior to your dates of stay, we will need to collect any additional taxes due prior to your arrival.

5. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation of a reservation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations made within sixty (60) days of the arrival date may forfeit the full advance payment. Refund eligibility and processing times may vary depending on the platform through which your reservation was made (e.g., Airbnb, Vrbo, or direct booking). that result in shortened stay or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. We recommend trip insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations or changes. If you are due a refund, a 9% fee will be charged due to credit card charges. A refund will be issued within 72 days (M-F). We have no control over the amount of time the credit card takes to issue the check.

6. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - The maximum number of guests for the agreed upon rate in this unit is six (6).

7. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time clean linen/towel setup. Maid service is available at an additional cost. If you are interested please let Debbie know in advance. However, laundry/dish soap and enough paper products to last a few days are provided. Guests must purchase additional paper products as needed, but need not re-stock at check-out.

8. RATE CHANGES - Rates are subject to change without notice, but will not be changed on any reservation already confirmed.

9. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretenses of any kind will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. If discovery of false pretenses are discovered after check-in, party will be evicted without a refund of any monies.

10. PARKING – This unit has 2 parking stalls that are tandem. The parking number is 25 and can be easily found following the driving directions.

11. RULES - In addition to the conditions of this Rental Agreement, guests are required to obey any rules put forth by the resort. Pay particular attention to the rules posted in the Pool area regarding food and glass.

12. PERSONAL BELONGINGS - Tenants shall be responsible for their personal belongings and agree to hold the Owners harmless for any loss due to theft, or damages to or by them while occupying the unit.

13. INSECT CLAUSE: Hawaii has one of the most enjoyable ecosystems on earth, and insects are a part of that system. We try to control this natural occurrence by regularly spraying for insects. The most common pests that may find their way into the property include ants, small beetles, gnats, mosquitos, geckos, and even cockroaches. Naturally, it is a good idea to keep the doors closed while enjoying our island, but, that will not necessarily eliminate all occurrences of insects. We do not offer refunds or adjustments for pest control issues. If you notice a problem please call Holly so we can handle it.

By booking with us, each adult guest acknowledges that they have read, understand, and will abide by the terms and conditions of this Rental Agreement.

Pros:The location is good and accessible to the beach and amenities.House is clean.Check in was easyCons:Instruction about laundry and pool access was not updated. The physical key was not working. The laundry room uses a keypad.No hot water in the shower at certain times especially in the evening when you need is the most.Host/property manager did not respond when needed about the laundry access and hot water issue.Placed new towels to be used that still have the tags (brand new from the store) were not washed.

Perfect for Us

The condo was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. We were also very impressed with the beach accessories. Good quality. Location is perfect. Close to the beach and some nice restaurants but very quiet. It is on the third floor but the steps were very manageable. We definitely book again.
