This newly renovated home is located on Minge Cove in Alton where guests can savor the breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the many mountains beyond from this fantastic waterfront home.

This home is conveniently located to many of the Lakes Region's area attractions including Gunstock Mountain Resort, hiking trails, retail shopping, and dining.

With a private dock that will accommodate up to a 22 foot boat, two decks, a patio, and a fire pit, this is the perfect vacation for your family and friends.

The main level of the home offers a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom, and a spacious dining and living area. This space is perfect for the whole group to gather in. Stream your favorite shows and movies, prepare meals together in the kitchen, and gather around the long wooden dining table for a meal and board games after. There are three bedrooms, an additional living area, and a deck located on the upper level.

Fabulous house and view

Great property and perfect for family stay. We used it as a base for ski races at Gunstock, only 10 minutes away. Fantastic waterfront property and views are outstanding. We would definitely come back.

Best vacation!

Beautiful home right on the lake with views from every room! We loved the direct access to the lake and enjoyed fishing, paddle boarding, swimming, and just relaxing with family! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Great location & place

Great spot on the lake between the cove & islands. House was in great shape and having a relaxing living space on each floor was convenient. While there were a good amount of stairs to get from the driveway to the house, it was well-maintained. The view was phenomenal from just about everywhere in the house and the second floor deck was nice but could have used some chairs/tables. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful home and setting

We stayed for six nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The views of the lake from the kitchen and common areas are unbeatable. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable. We didn’t mind the steps from the parking area, but as noted, they wouldn’t be good for people with mobility problems. We would have appreciated a binder with all the necessary information on the home, area restaurants, etc, including instructions on using the wood burning stove (we tried using it but had to stop due to smoke). Would we stay here again? Yes!

Lake lovely!

Thanks to this family who allowed us to get our “lake fix”. The home is family inclusive and well appointed. We were not for want of anything. Our family is 5 adults we all felt lake cozy. Again thanks to this family for allowing us to share their well loved home

Great lake house

I have stayed at a lot of lake houses, and this one was one of the best. We had views of the sunrise and sunset it was a great location. The house was furnished with everything we needed. Highly recommend this property.

Absolutely amazing

This is a beautiful house on the water Be aware there are many stairs to get to the home and also the lake Bedrooms are great the game room was used often by the kids Enjoyed the loons ducks hummingbirds and the otter Again absolutely beautiful property Thank you

Peaceful Lakeside Retreat

We spent 4 days at this beautiful home on the lake. The house was immaculate and quietly situated in a cove. We swam, kayaked and read on the deck. This would be perfect for a large family vacation and we’ll be back with our kids for sure.

Great House, Not ADA/Elderly Friendly

The house was nice for the stay but not very ADA friendly. There are a deceiving amount of outdoor steps, uneven bricks, and missing hand rails. There was a lot more stairs leading down to the house than the pictures showed. And when we arrived in the night there was no light. We later found the switch for the light (at the bottom of the stairs) the next day. But it would have been nice to have the lights left on, as there was no switch at the top. The entrance to the bottom bathroom has a small lip before the stair that was very easy to trip on. The lower floor bed was too high and difficult to get into. Because of this one of our elderly guests had to sleep on the couch. Other than the ADA related issues, the house was great! No issues, great views and a nice space! I just wanted to highlight some of the ADA issues for future guests (if applicable).

Lakefront Gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property!! The location was perfect and provided spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee from almost every room. The house was clean and beautifully furnished, and the beds were very comfortable! Since our stay was in late November, we didn't get to really enjoy the outside deck as much as we would have liked, but we did get one evening to enjoy the firepit and take in the gorgeous scenery. Would definitely stay there again!! I do wish it was dog friendly (at least on the 1st floor) as I would love to stay there in the summer with my hubby and pup and have my adult children join us as it would make a wonderful place for a family reunion. In any case, it gets 5 stars from me!!

Great week overall. The house was the perfect size (for 2 couples) in the perfect location. Lake view could not have been better. The house could use some updates/maintenance. 2 screens were missing when we arrived, sheets were too small, outdoor stonework bordering on dangerous in places. It has the potential to be amazing.

A peaceful space

This home is exactly as presented in the photos. It is very comfortable and designed for big groups with the flexibility of being able to use multiple spaces for quiet time. Absolutely loved it! We would note that if you have mobility issues that the stairs down to the house may give you pause. It is totally worth it! The views are amazing!

We enjoyed our stay very much. There must, however, be a description of the extensive steep stairway to enter the home as seniors, like us, might find it prohibitive, especially because suitcases and provisions had to be brought in. We needed instructions on proper wood stove use. Although instructions for use were available online, a written instruction manual would be useful for those unfamiliar with computers. Incidentally a ruptured bag of garbage was seen as we left at the end of the driveway. Location and views were spectacular

Perfect Place For A Family With Adult Children!

We spent a FABULOUS family vacation here with our adult children (21 & 25) and my 80 year old mom. We loved everything about this house! It was perfect for us because it offered beautiful views in every direction, a quiet haven, privacy inside and out, and lovely amenities. The house is comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated, filled with everything one would need for a week on the lake. I would not recommend this property for anyone with small children or someone with disabilities as it has many steps to get to the property, uneven surfaces in the "yard", and many quirky steps and levels within the house. There is no easy access into the water, with slippery rocks and very uneven ground. It would be challenging with small children or the disabled. Having said that If those are not challenges for your family I highly recommend this property. We spent hours enjoying the stunning view. We used our kayaks and paddle boards to explore Minge Cove and the islands. We rented a boat from Irwin Marine and it was an easy drive to the house and the dock provided a great place to load and unload family. It was less than a 15 minute boat ride to Wolfeboro. The owners of this home allow wonderful access to a laundry room, tons of towels and home "extras". Two fridges is such a plus if you are planning to make your own meals all week (we did). I can't say enough about this beautiful property and the generous access the owners give to all areas of the property and items inside. We had a very stormy week and having access to streaming services, a beautiful game room, covered decks, etc. was a life saver and this house was enjoyable in all weather. We commented all week on how "PERFECT" this property was for our family. Everyone had a private room, A/C was provided, levels and space allowed us to spread out, an equipped kitchen and gas grill gave us the ability to cook almost all our meals and enjoy them with a stunning view. There is plenty of parking which was a must with our kids traveling in with their own cars from other states. The pictures in this listing are exactly how the property looks. From binoculars to board games, it's the little touches that made this trip so easy for all of us. Thank you for a memorable week with our Mom, it's probably our last family vacation together and we made such special memories in this home.
