Lakefront 4 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Retreat with Beach and Dock
Beautiful lakefront home on Shellcamp Lake in Gilmanton. 4 bedroom amd 2 bathroom house on a flat yard with its own private zero-entry beach and dock. Quiet neighborhood with 2 additional public beaches and boat ramp with in walking distance. An amazing lake for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. You are able to dock your own boat at the property. Sleeps 10 people. Recently renovated. Central air conditioning. Washer and dryer. WI-FI. Gas grill on the large deck overlooking the lake. Plenty of yard for games and enjoying the fire pit. 20 minutes to Gunstock Mountain. 10 minutes to New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Plenty of parking for cars and trailer.
This home is newly renovated and clean as a whistle with very comfortable beds. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals at home. It was too cold for us to go in water, but the kids loved playing in the sand and the view is really nice. Extremely responsive host too! I highly recommend this rental.
We loved the location of Kevin's property! It was great for the kids to fish from the dock and canoe. In fact we never left the property once we were there. We had an issue with the cleanliness of the property upon arrival. One of the bedrooms did not appear to be cleaned and the bed and floor was covered in pet fur (we think a previous guest must have snuck in a pet as the listing doesn't allow them). Kevin offered to have the cleaning person come back but we had already started cleaning. He did refund us the cleaning fee and allowed us a late checkout so we feel he made up for the not great start to the stay. The place is pretty minimally stocked so if you plan to do some cooking, I would bring things with you especially pot holders and dish towels as we never found any. Overall, even with the issues we encountered, we would stay again as the property was perfect for the whole family to get away and relax.
Peaceful, well appointed lakefront property. Check in was easy, great communication with owner, property was spotless and kitchen contained everything we needed during our stay. There were just four adults for this stay but there was plenty of room for twice that number. The pine interior is beautifully done.
Beautiful gem! Lake house is so much bigger inside than we thought it would be! It smelled like fresh pine inside. Perfect location for little ones too because of the shallow lake. Our adult son has a spinal cord injury and is unable to walk by himself. The yard was gradually sloping which made it easier for him. This was the first vacation trip weâve had together because weâve had family trauma the past several years. The faces of our grandchildren lit up when they went on their first canoe ride and caught fish for the first time! This was a special time we will always remember.
Family gathering for nearby wedding, followed by exploring the White Mountains and Lake Winnipesauki. Our collective stay was one week. The three granddaughters stayed on the first floor with their own bedrooms and bathroom and family room. All amenities provided in the kitchen.
We loved the property. The house was clean and better than expected. My 90 year old dad who is a carpenter could not stop taking about all the woodwork. The weather was awful but we were able to go the the lake. Must be great in warmer weather
Stayed here with my husband, our three kids and their friends. Us with 6 teenagers 17-19 years old and not once did we feel like we were on top of eachother. 20 minutes to Laconia, 30 to Weirs Beach and Concord. The boys had a great time fishing off the dock. Within 30 minutes they had hooked 2 fish. The house is very confortable and spaciois. Loved every minute of our time there. Thank you for sharing.
Everything was wonderful. The house had everything we needed. It was clean and Kevin answered any questions we had very quickly. My family got to share that little piece of heaven on the lake. Bbq, fire pit and kayak mixed with watching the resident loons patrol the lake. We hope to visit again when itâs warmer!
We gathered for a small girls getaway to celebrate a 50th birthday. This was a great location, clean space, and had a beautiful view with access to the water. Kevin was very responsive & the checkin process was seamless. Highly recommended!
As a family of 6, our options are limited to 2 hotel rooms or a vacation property. This property exceeded all expectations. Perfect balance between feeling like a family vacation home and an elevated rental property without being full luxury with the typical higher price tag. Will definitely return.
Lakeshore House with Plenty of Sunlight but Little Privacy
Overall, I thought the property was excellent, and the property was chosen for an SNHU commencement weekend. It was clear the property was recently renovated, and the downstairs sitting area provided the most space since the weather was rainy and windy. Despite clear instructions on the heating units, it was a little tricky to get the heat running but once we did the bedrooms seemed to be 5 plus degrees hotter than the common sitting areas. We did encounter some ants in the kitchen and I and that could have been related to the recent renovations. My only complaint was the lack of privacy; the property provided no blinds or shades on most windows. Outside the bedrooms, all the windows were completely exposed, and neighbors were on both sides of the house. If we had more privacy, it would have been ranked five stars.
The property was exactly as described, and very clean, seemed to have been very recently exhaustively renovated. The owner was very helpful with some questions that we had. Very happy with the property
This was our first vacation as a family of three. We had an amazing/relaxing time. It was perfect for our family. The house was gorgeous and clean. The weather was beautiful, we truly lucked out.
