Welcome to your oasis in the city, Metro Bungalow: The Beverly. If you're coming to Savannah to explore, and want ritzy digs to settle into, look no further! This cheery, fun and glamorous bungalow is situated in the Starland District, which is in walking distance to so many outstanding venues, restaurants and bars. Don't fret, you're only a short Uber drive downtown to the action, and a quick walk over to Forsyth Park.

Beyond the quintessential southern exterior, you'll step into The Beverly, with a totally different vibe inside. This bungalow has been completely renovated and furnished with glamorous decor, rich colors, and a selfie wall - bachelorette certified! The open floor plan is an entertainers dream, as you'll have plenty of space to spread out, gather together, play games and never feel separated from the rest of the group. Whether you're whipping up your "famous" cocktails, or preparing a home cooked meal, you'll have everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen.

Down the hall, you'll find the powder room, where you'll feel like you've just stepped into The Beverly Hills Hotel with this fun wallpaper! Just down yonder, the first guest suite is fitted with a plush queen size bed, and a wardrobe rack for all of your posh outfits. In-between both suites, you'll find the extremely spacious full-size bathroom, that features an elegant quartz dual vanity, with an ample amount of counter space and a shower/tub combination. At the end of the hall, the second guest suite additionally features a queen size bed, dresser and even a desk - perfect for those who need to get some work done!

Out back, the true oasis awaits - Bamboo acts as a privacy barrier from neighbors around and you'll forget you're even in the city! The deck is equipped with a fabulous pergola that can be open or closed, to keep you out of the sun even on the hottest days. Whether you're gathered around having a morning cup of coffee, an evening glass of wine, or grilling out, everyone will always have plenty of space.

What is parking like for this home?
Non-metered Parking - This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

Convenient location and cute interior

Very cute decor! The property is a corner duplex located near residential housing and apartments used by SCAD students. It is easy to navigate given the proximity to major streets/highways. The property is decently maintained. Would love to see some blinds that can be pulled down from the top in the bedrooms since those windows are right on the sidewalk; you don’t necessarily want people looking in.

Our girls trip.

There were a few things that would have may the property better. More than one hand towel per bathroom, kitchen wash cloths, paper towels. I let them know that the garbage can outside was removed at some point from the property and was told that they would send someone to check it out. We had no garbage can all week. Thankfully there we garbage cans along the street that we used.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was originally going to stay at The Beverly for 5 nights but only stayed for one night. If you are looking to stay in historic Savannah, don't stay here. While it is only a mile or so away, it is starkly different in terms of neighborhood atmosphere. The house is located on a noisy main road and lacks a feel of privacy. I walked a few blocks to get water and was stared at and cat-called. In terms of the actual place, the couch in the TV seating area was not comfortable or roomy enough to lounge on. The mattress was hard and sheets were very scratchy. I immediately felt extremely itchy and had to sleep on top of the comforter...while still feeling the itchyness. After finally falling asleep, there was a loud, fast knocking sound (as if someone was knocking on the door) which occurred several times during the span of about an an hour. I finally gave up on sleep because by the time I would drift off, the knocking sound would come again. There were no other AirBnb's available through Lucky Savannah, so I had to last minute, stay at a hotel. In going to the Lucky Savannah office the next day, I had a mixed experience. Two of the staff were empathetic and helpful. While the first person I spoke to was unapologetic and instead of showing empathy, was incredulous and in no way compassionate about the distressing night of virtually no sleep, extreme discomfort from the itchyness and loud knocking situation. Despite it being a known fact that you can't actually see dust mites, she said they would need proof and asked if I had marks on me. The only thing I was asking, is if the room were to be rented out by someone else, could they provide a refund. And I was treated as if I was fabricating my experience. When it was escalated to the reservations manager, I did receive understanding and genuine compassion. But the very negative reaction I received was totally uncalled for. Being treated with understanding would have made a difference.

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We overall had a great stay at The Beverly. The inside is very clean and modern. It had everything we needed. The only downfall was the distance from historic downtown was about a 35 min walk (which we did 2 times, that was enough) the surrounding area is not the most ideal (not terrible though). The only other thing I would have preferred was a little more comfortable couch and chairs. Honestly, this was an amazing place for our stay. Hope this helps!

Good spot in a great city

Our stay here was great. Check-in was convenient. The home was very clean upon arrival. With 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, it was just the right size for our family of 4. You can tell the home was fairly recently updated as practically everything looked new. The host and/or cleaners do a great job prepping it for new check-ins. The home had adequate amounts of toiletries for our 4-day stay, which was an added bonus. Having only been to Savannah once before, and for only 24 hours, we weren’t too familiar with the area or location. While the location is close enough to walk to certain “staples” (like Forsyth Park), at about a mile away it’s probably a bit too far of a walk to River St; mostly just in case of bad weather catching you while you’re out walking. However, if your group likes to get some extra steps in, it’s probably less than 20 minutes away on foot. If you drive or Uber to River St, it’ll only take a few minutes, which is fantastic. All in all we loved our stay and could see ourselves staying again in the future! Thank you!

Book festival vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a little further out than where the activities were that I was attending- about a 30 minute walk, but it was just a few blocks to hop on the free bus/trolley and parking was free, so I would stay there again. The furnishings were aesthetically pleasing, the neighborhood was quiet, it was clean, comfortable and the back deck was a plus!

False Advertising about location of property

Hello, Unfortunately, we arrived at the Bungalow and very quickly realized it was not walkable and was in a very rough neighborhood. We immediately called and they did not have anything else avaiable. We did not stay at the property because we did not feel safe in the neighborhood and could not walk our dogs in the evening or after dark. They would not offer a full or partial refund because it was a holiday weekend and they could not rebook.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a super cute and very clean “Savannah-esque” home in a quaint neighborhood. I felt like a local staying here away from the touristy spots, but close to Forsyth Park where we found some cute local cafe’s. I did get a parking ticket because I missed the street sweeping sign for the block I was on. There was only 1 sign at the beginning of the block and I had flipped a U turn to park in the middle so do be careful. Totally my fault and not a negative on this rental. On street parking was plentiful though so don’t let that deter you. I would definitely stay here again.
