Charming house with a natural spring, fire pit, and river access
Stay in our cozy modern farmhouse built in 2022 as a small replica of the old homeplace that stood strong for over 100 years. Step out from the one bedroom suite onto the stone patio, to relax and listen to the fresh water spring. Roast marshmallows on the open fire pit. Little River access is only a short walk. Located just a 1/2 mile from the city limits, the Springhouse is close to the Smoky Mtn. National Park, Townsend Bike Trail, River Rat Main Tubing Outpost, Townsend festivals, and the local IGA grocery store. Modern kitchen, walk-in shower, electric fireplace, and vaulted ceilings complete this little home away from home making it a repeat vacation spot for sure! *Due to allergies, the home is listed as animal free. Thank you for understanding.
We came for just a long weekend. We love this cabin, even remodeled our house with ideals from this place from where we stayed the first time. It is so peaceful yet close enough to things. We love staying here and canât wait to visit again.
The property was as listed. Everything was clean and in a great location. We would definitely stay there again if had the opportunity and are in Townsend again.
The place was full of history and rich character. The small details were all cohesively blended together to make a simplistic yet scenic stay. The view of the mountains were gorgeous and the sounds of the bubbling spring and flowing creek were very serene. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. We love Townsend and this place was perfect for the two of us to relax and chill.
The property was very close to Townsend and Cades Cove. Very clean and stocked with anything you needed for a vacation home near the Smoky Mountains. Enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for the best visit to the Smoky Mountains, we loved how close the park entrance was, and we loved Townsend! It was quiet and the house was charming and perfect in every way. Extremely clean, comfortable and fun. We would love to return!
This house was perfect. My husband and I stayed for a few days after an overnight hike to LeConte that we did for our anniversary. The house is beautiful and clean. A nice patio to drink coffee on in the morning and so close to everything we wanted to do. Townsend is a wonderful town with several great restaurants and coffee shops that is only a few minutes drive from the house as well as the Townsend entrance to the park. We hope to be back soon!
Just a short get-a-way to do some running and relaxing. We loved the Spring House. Cozy, clean and comfortable. We will definitely try to stay here again.
Charming little cottage, perfect for our short stay in the area! It is beautiful inside and very fresh and new feeling. My husband and I were quite comfortable while staying here and especially enjoyed the river access after spending the morning hiking. (The only thing that would have made the river better would be some camp chairs to sit in.) The cottage is fully furnished with thoughtful extras thrown in. Very clean and no smells (good or bad). The kitchen is fully equipped. A/C and ceiling fans worked great. King size bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Two luggage racks are available plus a huge armoire. Bathroom was a touch tight but nicely done. Shower head is waterfall-style (not our favorite) and has okay water pressure. Takes a few minutes for hot water to get there, but when it does you'll know it. Outdoor patio chairs are rocker-style and quite comfortable. You have to take a few minutes and explore the spring on the property. Just walking down to it will surprise you with the drop in air temperature. Circle drive makes coming and going very easy. Quiet neighborhood in the evenings and is right off the main street of Townsend.
Beautifully decorated, comfortable and cozy and in a great location for enjoying all that Townsend has to offer. Owner was easy to work with. She responded quickly to one concern with the door lock and addressed it as promised.
The owner was great to work with. Great stay with exception of tv viewing. The Roku setup was pitiful. We didnât go to watch tv, but rain changed our plans a little.
It was wonderful! The only trouble we had was that the GPS didnât take us to the house but one road past where we needed to go. It was a beautiful little spot with such an interesting story! We will certainly come back. So close to the main road yet so peaceful! The patio beside the spring, the sound of the river across the street, perfect for relaxing! The special touches like the sâmores basket when we arrived and the resident gnomes by the spring made our stay so memorable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! Thanks for having us!
This property was exactly as stated on VRBO. Super clean. Comfortable. Homey feel. Loved the patio and fire pit. Even saw raccoons in a burrow in the natural spring area. Loved that it was far away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas but close enough to get to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg easily. Owner was very responsive. They even had a small sâmoreâs makings/ingredients on the counter when we arrived. One suggestion: coffee mugs. Other than that, it was perfect! Would stay here again, for sure.
This was a spur or the moment trip, which I do not like to do as a self-described planner. HOWEVER, this place was extra good. It is close to town, WIN! It is beautifully built, WIN! It is cute as a button, WIN! Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen, roomy shower, lovely outdoor patio with fire pit plus the sound of water coming from the spring on the property. How relaxing. My husband would have loved a reclining chair to relax in following a full day of activities, however this is not a game changer for us. We will definitely visit the Spring House again. Go & enjoy! You will be happy you did.
This place was even better than we imagined! Super clean and very well-maintained. It had everything we needed! Beautifully decoratedâjust clean and fresh. Not a lot of little knick knacky clutter. I highly recommend staying here :) We will definitely go back!
Beautiful little farmhouse with everything I needed for my visit to Townsend. Well-decorated and stocked. Loved the patio for early morning coffee, and the private river access.
Very close to all that Townsend has to offer, and convenient to the National Park and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.
This property couldnât have been better! It was super clean! Itâs decorated beautifully. The attention to detail from the furnishings, to the kitchen utensils, and down to the Watkins spice rack is impeccable. We loved how quiet the area is. But minutes away are great places to eat and shop! If youâre into water rafting/tubing, this is the place to rent! I really didnât want to share how wonderful the Spring House is because I want it available for when my husband and I go back!
