Sunset House is a beautiful private property which insures guests to have a very relaxing get away. Look out any window of this Arroyo Seco jewel and you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the local mountains. Step into the fenced back yard to savor a blaze of color as the sun sets over the Rio Grande Valley. This 2- bedroom, 2-bath home is beautifully furnished and has a well-appointed kitchen. The all season destination is midway between Taos Ski Valley and the Taos Plaza with has easy access to both. Park your car, your skis or your mountain bike in the house's large heated garage.

Peaceful haven with views!

Property manager Terra was fantastic! The hot tub was marvelous and the outdoor fire pit was great. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had all the things we needed!! We loved it

The manager was available and contacted us to clarify this and that on the way there. No ac, but we didn’t need it even though it was hot out. Would stay there again!

Fun weekend getaway

I spent a long weekend with friends here to ski at Taos Ski Valley in celebration of my birthday. The house was perfect- stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen, hot tub ready to go when we got there. The space was spotless and perfect for the four of us. I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Stay

Sunset house is so tastefully decorated and very well-appointed with everything you will need. They seem to anticipate your needs. The views of sunrises AND sunsets are beautiful. We will be back!! It was exactly what we needes to unplug and unwind. Hosts are very helpful and responsive

You should stay here.

Had a great stay! Caretaker was communicative and although we didn’t need anything, she says available anytime. Loved the neighborhood, THE VIEWS ⛰️🗻🏔️, nice neighbors (humans and a lovely dog named Beluga, she came wandering in the yard twice and would just lay down and wag her tail - I miss her very much) haha. Speaking of dogs, all the prairie dogs that you get to see….wow. Would recommend.

Good home base for skiing

House was really nice and well appointed. Hot tub was great after skiing. Only thing I would mention is the barn doors on the bedrooms didn’t give as much privacy as I would like as they don’t fully close off the space when closed allowing sound to travel in and out of the bedrooms.

Sunrise, Sunset

We loved this house. The space is perfectly oriented to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset. The house and it’s furnishings were a step above from the average short term rental. Great beds, sheets, towels. Kitchen was well appointed and stocked with the basics including coffee! It is a little hard to access but well worth the effort. We would rent this house again. Thanks to the owners for making it special.

Beautiful house and mountain views

Very well appointed and modern house. Views of the mountains from every window. Comfortable beds and living room. Very clean. Well stocked with everything you need. Very warm with radiant heating. Fireplace made it cozy too. Close to town of Taos and toas ski valley. Only thing we didn’t like is the narrow, long, winding and bumpy road to the house. But it was worth it once we got there!

Excellent taos Area property

this is a fantastic house and a fantastic location. It is 20 minute drive to Taos ski Valley. And a 10 to 15 minute drive to Taos city proper. The house is beautiful. It is well appointed. It is very comfortable. The radiant heat does a great job of keeping the whole house warm. You literally have mountain views from almost every window. The caretaker was very responsive. we had zero issues throughout our stay. In fact, the caretakers even plowed the driveway to allow for easier entry to the house the heated garage is a huge bonus.

Excellent House

It was great! If I could complain about anything it would be the road leading to the house off Rim Rd. Only other thing was there was a car belonging to one of the neighbors that drove thru our circle drive real slow about 11:30pm on our last night and it freaked out our friends in the front bedroom and needless to say none of us got much sleep in front of our 9 hour drive home. But other than that the House was Excellent and was much nicer than anticipated

Thanksgiving trip

The house and yard are beautiful and extremely well appointed ..Beds and linens are lovely . Fireplace stopped working after a few hours . Remote did not work even changed batteries .TV and cell coverage was minimal. The road to the house is sketchy at best, not marked well and the neighborhood is pretty ghetto . I was not comfortable walking outside the property due to aggressive non confined dogs . Proximity to town and restaurants is about 1.8 miles . We were visiting my daughter who just moved there.

More that Expected

Images of this home (away from home) in no way capture the comfort and beauty you feel the moment you walk through the front door. The views are amazing from living room, dining and kitchen. Outdoor areas on east and west side capture spectacular NM sunrises and sunsets The house itself is beautifully appointed in Southwestern decor. You will not want to leave. If you like to cook, the kitchen is a dream. Everything you need is there. As an added surprise, we were greeted every morning and evening by a coterie/town of Prairie Dogs, scattering around for food. Not near the house but close enough to enjoy their antics. I The road is a bit rough to the house but well worth it and, for me, so much more enjoyable than a house in town. Such a lovely place. I will return as soon as possible. Thanks so much to management who responded quickly to our small needs/questions.

The Living is Easy
