This place had everything we look for, seclusion, located in the mountains during the fall season. Plenty of hiking trails, good internet service, Roku TV, great hot tub, and close enough to the local town of Margaretville for groceries. We had a wonderful time.

Thank you for your nice review! The owners designed themselves and made sure to take advantage of the views. The placement of the doors and windows keeps the home warm in the winter and allows for perfect cross ventilation for cooling in the summer as well. I hope that you visit again during another season so you can enjoy the outdoor space too!

Perfect getaway for a big group

Just as the listing says, this is an amazing house for a relaxing weekend getaway. The kitchen is perfect for cooking your meals at home since restaurants are a drive away. Loved our stay with the whole group.

Beautiful house in beautiful setting

We rented the house for a wedding weekend during peak fall foliage and couldn’t have had a better stay! Beautiful, well designed house with more than enough room for 4 adults.

Great find for a bachelorette weekend in the Catskills!

The house is beautiful and on a beautiful piece of property. It comfortably fit 5 adults for the weekend. Kitchen is well equipped, detailed instructions for the fireplace, etc make the stay incredibly easy. Drove to a few places around for hiking and went to a winery. Host was responsive and helpful before/after our stay. Such a great retreat!

This house was amazing all around. The layout of the home, the windows, the light coming in, the views.. all of it was simply outstanding. Kim was extremely responsive to all my random queries and very helpful. I would 100% stay here again!

Wedding Stay

This was such a beautiful property that provided us with so much peace. The open layout allowed us to reconnect with friends and enjoy the sights outside. Being able to hear the creak outside...I mean this was so amazing.

Beautiful home, beautiful view, great time!

Firstly, the property manager was fantastic with suggestions, info, overall communication. The house was perfect for 4 couples, hiking a nearby trail, then grilling and eating at home. Kitchen was well-stocked and everything was perfect. The house lends itself to family eating, hanging, laughing, and enjoying nature. We will definitely be back for another visit! I'm happy that I was able to give you good tips about the area, I don't like it myself when I go somewhere for vacation and need to search out things to do and places to go. I prefer to be prepared with a plan (and time for spontaneity of course) so I can make the most of my time. I want the same for the guests. There are so many hiking trails in the area, you'll have to try new ones at every visit!

Peaceful, secluded getaway

The house is exactly as pictured and was a great place for 8 guests. We were indoors most of the time and it felt spacious. The host was responsive and helpful when needed. The driveway is uphill and can get icy in the winter -- use caution if you don't have AWD. Overall it was a great experience!

That's wonderful to hear and thank you for your nice review. The driveway is maintained but since it is on a slope and rather long it can be tricky to get up in the winter. I always recommend AWD, FWD or 4x4 anywhere in the Catskills for winter and check tire tread before coming to make sure treads are sufficient for winter driving. Snow tires are good but all weather tires work just fine as long as the treads are good, it's what I use on my Honda Pilot AWD. Thanks again for the stay and I hope to host you in the future!
