We had an amazing stay at this home during our family ski trip. The house was spacious, clean, and perfectly located near the slopes. The host was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here againâhighly recommend for a relaxing and fun ski getaway.
Giselle is a wonderful andd attentive host. 9 of us enjoyed this beautiful catskills getaway. Great space, well equipped and cozy. Fireplace, feasts and fun! Highly recommend
Loved the cabin and the beautiful nature around it! It's tucked away and private but still accessible. The cabin itself is wonderfully furnished with a great kitchen and outside grill. Gisele is a responsive and lovely host!
Everything was as advertised and then some. Eclectic and charming, peaceful, cozy, and spacious. Kids loved it, the pond was wonderful, and we hope to come back!
This home was perfect for our Labor Day weekend reunion, with everything we would need, easy use of fire pit, grill, deck and kitchen (but there is no dishwasher). Gisele was great to communicate with.
Would definitely go again!
Giselle was awesome! She helped me and my family have the wedding of my dreams. She was so helpful and attentive to everything we needed. I truly enjoyed her beautiful and eclectic space. It truly made the wedding beautiful! Loved it!
This cabin in the woods was a great place to stay! We brought my mom and her friend here for a weekend to celebrate their 60th birthdays. There were separate bedrooms for everyone in our group, the cabin is beautiful and rustic and the owner was very helpful for questions and instructions. Great stay!
The property is remote, private, gorgeous and immaculately maintained. Far enough to be a getaway but close enough to use as a base for whatever plans you may have; golf, hiking, sightseeing, or just staying in and shutting off.
Conveniently located as a home base for a ski weekend at Bellayre. The house was in a lovely and in a remote setting (nice and quiet) and had all of the amenities we needed and unique decor touches. Ate at nearby Peekamouse which was a real treat.
Great home for our annual weekend ski trip. The home comfortably accommodated down seven adults and one teenager property was secluded it felt like a retreat. The house as well appointed with everything that we needed to enjoy the weekend including firewood and will be returning next year. The property manager it was very easy to communicate with it was very accommodating.
Giseleâs home was perfect for my familyâs long weekend getaway. The location feels remote and private, but has the convenience of nearby shopping and restaurants. Further, Gisele has achieved the perfect balance of having spacious home that feels immensely cozy and inviting. As New Englanders, we were prepared for a drafty house, but were pleasantly surprised by the radiant floor heating and the fireplace that kept the house very comfortable throughout the weekend. We hope to return soon!
Our family (2 kids under 10) had a wonderful extended stay at the house. We loved the large open space and large windows with views of the pond and trees. Beautiful wood fireplace was great for cold nights, and there was a never-ending supply of firewood. Our kids loved exploring the woods and the open field on the property, which is perfect for stargazing on clear nights. Giselle was amazingly helpful and responsive, a perfect host.
(My previous review must have got lost as I am being asked to send another review)
My group of 6 adults enjoyed our time at this spacious, airy home. Everywhere you looked there was something fun to find in the eclectic decor. The kitchen was well supplied. The dining table was a great place to gather together, while the living room area, game table and deck provided spaces to get away for smaller gatherings. The two and a half baths were great. Our only disappointment was that the pond was green. We werenât comfortable going in when couldnât see our feet in the water.
The owner was very quick with all communications
The minute we walked in we were happy. Beautiful and funky decor, open spaces and lots of place to strech out and relax! Gisele was wonderful to work with and made us feel at home right away. Totally secluded, but right near stores, restaurants and activities. The pond was a hit with kids and adults. Available kayaks and floats were great. Plenty of firewood for the bonfire, plenty of outdoor seating. The bedding was fresh and clean and was high quality, a nice treat! Two quotes from my family group: "a ten out of a ten" for the house and property and: "I want to stay here for a month". No complaints, just sorry the weekend had to end. Many thanks Gisele for sharing your beautiful place!!
The Fleischmann's property is located along a dead end road. It is surrounded by trees and has amazing privacy. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could think of for cooking, baking, and serving. The wraparound windows make you feel like you are completely connected to nature. Two private bedrooms upstairs and one loft bed are upstairs. The master suite is separate from the living area with a connected bathroom. The greatroom is gorgeous and spacious. The decor is quirky and artsy. The house is easy to find, close to NYC. There are no fussy instructions for getting in or closing up. We loved working with Gisele and loved our visit.
We stayed as a family for 4th of July weekend. The location was great, very close to Belleayre and Margaretville for the carnival and fireworks. The kids loved the pond and there was a nice amount of outdoor space in the back. The kitchen sink was clogged throughout our stay which was tough do deal with because doing dishes was a challenge and the smell of the water wasnât great as we waited for it to drain. If it happens again I would recommend trying to get a plumber in asap and not just dealing with the clog. I didnât realize that there was no AC (completely my fault I should have paid closer attention to the listing) and it was an extremely hot weekend so that was tough in the upstairs bedrooms. I would recommend bringing a bigger fan to help with circulation upstairs and hopefully that would help, the fans downstairs worked well and kept it much cooler down there. The open floor plan downstairs was nice and there was enough room to comfortably fit two families. Overall we had a good weekend and the kids had a great time.
We very much enjoyed staying in this lovely home, which felt spacious for our family of four and our pets. As we were social-distancing this year we appreciated quiet location and the peaceful feel of the property. Gisele was a gracious, helpful and unobtrusive hostess, so we very much felt that we had the property to ourselves. Our boys (age 7) enjoyed their stay enormously, happily spending countless hours in, on and around the pond, discovering frogs, toads, newts and all manner of other creatures as well as taking the kayak and floats for a spin. They quickly discovered plenty of other fun too, from the fire pit to the chess table and movies. The home is nicely laid out, comfortable and well equipped, so it was perfect not just as our base to explore the Catskills but also for the days we chose to just chill out. We very much enjoyed the outdoor spaces and being close to nature, such as seeing the hummingbirds visit as we sat on the deck. It was also nice that we could prepare and serve meals inside or out. Inside, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the open plan helped us stay connected while the kids played. Outside thereâs plenty of grills, deck and patio space, perfect for breaking the daily routine with a pancake breakfast at the picnic tables.
A group of 10 of us ventured out of NYC for a weekend getaway in the Catskills. Gisele's home was absolutely perfect. The entire property was exactly what we wanted and there was plenty to do. Between the kayaks and floaties for the pond, the large field next door for games and star gazing, the fire pit with plenty of wood or the multiple options for grills, there was no limit to what we could do. The property felt perfectly remote but also incredibly close to town where you can pick up all of the essentials in no time. According to everyone, all of the beds were very comfortable except for the small twin bed in the "old house". Other than that, sleeping arrangements for 10 was perfectly fine. We had everything we needed in the house and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need for a meal. Of course, being out in nature, the bugs are inevitable and some of them do sneak into the house but they didn't really bother us city kids. There are also some really amazing frogs/toads in the pond along with a few animals that come around every once in a while to say hi. I can't say enough good things about this place and we can't wait to go back for another season. Gisele, thank you again!
We enjoyed our stay, even on a rainy weekend! Grandparents, us and the kids enjoyed the house, kayaking and chasing after frogs; our pups loved the lake and running around! Fully recommended!
The house and property were just perfect for a weekend away with friends. We were a group of 9 and the house was so well equipped and comfortable! The decor was so fun, the beds so comfortable. We wish the weather was warmer so we could have gone swimming. But it was great fun catching frogs! Giselle was wonderful in every way. We hope to come back again!
